Is there any option or any new software that allow me to synchronize a file anywhere on my hard drive ( instead of simply /My pocket pc document ) directly to SD card ?
(I'v been looking for a similar post but didn't find any! i gave up )

I have just purchased a new sd card (128 mb made by lexar)but the pda refuses to see it as being there what could be the problem? my old card is a 64mb kodak which works fine.please help
did you check the sd-card on pc with a sd-card reader ?
I have put it in my digital camera and it recognises and formats it instantly but i dont have a card reader
i am no expert for sd-cards, but i suggest that you download some storage-format-tool for the xda, it might be, that this tool sees the sd-card.
Still the most promissing is to format it with a PC to FAT16 file-system, as it is possible that your camera did "something else"
can you point me in the direction for the software to do this please
I know these two ( always try google : "flash format ppc" )
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pocketpc/flashformat.html
http://www.cnetx.com/format/
both a shareware but with free trial.
Many thhanks i will give them ago and report back
Im new to xda's and pocket pc's ...I just bought a sx56 and am trying to figure out how to download music from my pc to the sd card on my sx56 via the active sync connection....the amount of space available on my device is very little and so I dont want to use it up but it wont let me store any music directly from pc to the sd card..I can drag and drop files to the sd card but then it wont read it be cause the format is not changed!!
Your music files need to have the extension .mp3 or .wma if you're using the Windows Media Player shipped with the SX-56.
What is the extension of the file(s) you're copying to your SD card?
in activesync you can choose explore device
and then pick mypda or something that gets you out of
the my doc dir and then you can access your sdcard
that way and it auto converts files which require that
i always just use a sdcard reader to copy and i never had any problems reading the music files

I'm using a Huawei P8 with a MicroSD Card to store my cam images and everything works correctly until today.
I found that I can list all the pictures/files from the "gallery" of Android in my local SD files, but when I connect the SD Memory to my PC via USB and mount the FS, I can explore all the tree of the filesystem and also the path where my files are located, but can't see the last 24 hours files I created with my cam.
These same files can be listed in the "Gallery" of my Phone, as well as I can check the same INTERNAL PATH of Android FS that I reproduce later in Windows Explorer without seeing the same files there, but I can see in Windows the rest of the files of that same SD directory.
Anyone can give me some light on this, please?
I have pictures saved to the micro SD card on the phone. I connect the phone to my PC (Windows 7) and I found a bug, where the image size would read as 0 bytes. And on the PC I won't be able to open the file. Copying the file over to the computer will yield an un-openable file.
The image is open-able in the Gallery from Asus in the phone. But if I look under details it won't tell me the size.
Lucky for me the Asus File Manager is still able to read the size of these images.
The Fix:
1) Open file manager from Asus on your phone.
2) Locate your pictures in your micro sd card (Location SD). Check and see if you can see all the file sizes.
3) If yes, select all images. Copy them to a folder in your internal storage (Location IN) in your phone.
4) Then select all the newly created images from the internal storage. Copy them back into the same spot (Location SD) as the origin.
5) Your PC should be able to read those files sizes now. Once everything is fixed, feel free to delete the duplicates in Location IN.
This problem happens when you use a third party program like Microdroid to move files from the internal storage over to your microSD card. As such only use the Asus File Manager to move files.
(You can set the default saving location to your microSD. But I found that to be too slow, specially for video recording. Hence I want to save first to internal storage and then move them to microSD after. Either way you can play around.)
Hi all I am using xperia xa ultra for the past one yr. Now i face an issue. Not sure if it is virus or an issue. I have some word documents, pdf files and excel sheets both in my internal storage and also in my SD card. 64 gb SD card. When I browse thro the file manager (file commander I use) all the files are viewable and It can be opened too. No problem at all. But if I connect my mobile to pc and if I open the internal or the SD card all the pdf files, Word documents, excel sheets are showing as folder. If I open the folder it says folder empty. For example if I have a pdf file like jack.pdf it is viewed as same thro file manager in mobile but it will be viewed as folder if I view it thro pc but the name ll be same as Jack.pdf but with folder icon. So why it is happening like this. Is it a virus or any other prob. How can I get rid off it. Pls help me
Sounds wonky.
Option 1: get a new SD card
Option 2: new cord
Option 3: format SD card after moving files off
