Sorry mate... Doesn't WORK either!! This still CHECK the ROM and PROVIDER!! As long as it contains HimaGetDeviceData, it will be checking the ROM and PROVIDER. Still get ERROR 100 : MODEL ID ERROR!!
This probably because the different BOOTLOADER!! Looks like waiting for "GENIUS - itsme" to fix this problem.

When I bought my TyTn it has a Swedish ROM-version: 1.18.263.2.
I flashed it to Telsta-JasJam. It worket very well in two monthes Just last week wona flash it to the new Swedish AKU 3.x so I get Invalid Vender ID error. Swedish TyTn said this void the warranty. Now I have a device with boot loader display with out accepting any ROM. I tried with all languages
Norwegian, WWW, Swedish etc.
What can I do. Can u help me plz?

if you have SPL 1.04, then when you get the Vender ID; simply close the RUU on your computer and open it again and flashing should resume

The problem is that I have BL 1.9. The Swedish TyTn already decided that the warranty is not valid, it not cover such a fault. U tried before to flash it to non Swedish operator.

Interesting the radio is 1.38.00.0.1 - i.e. quite old. I wonder if this has been tweaked for Orange - it's the same as the one in the French rom. I might try installing this radio to see how it goes.

I am using Wm6 Black 2.5 (OLIPRO 2.10) on my M3100 and when I am trying to install this update (BTW, it is a WM6 ROM ? ) I get an error from the RUU application that it cannot connect to the device (ERR 260). I have installed the Vista drivers and I don't know what to do ( I have read the guides and read the forum). Thanks in advance for any advice!

My device is reporting 2.11.61.1 (23/3/07), Operator version 14.211.1.611.
If you tell me how to work out the Ext. Rom version number I'll have a look and report that too.
so what rom would i need to install first in order to be able to install this update??? i am running black 2.5 also but want to go back to the orange preloaded version.

I have the same error as well. Is it because I have used hermes unlocker v3a to my M3100?
all those with 26x error, not able to update... extract the NBH file from the rom, then use CustomRUU (see stickies) to flash it.

@PETE that is not the reason the upgrade is not running. He can just FLASH Olipro1.10 which is 1.04 based then flash this ROM. However the 260error is not coming from the device. It is coming from the PC. I do not have a VISTA machine so maybe someone else shed some light. He should also search the threads for that error because it has been mentioned numerous times before.

[Help] ROM upgrade error
I tried to install the new M3100 ROM downloaded from the Orange page, and at the step before the M3100's screen goes tricolor, it got resetted and disconnected from my PC. The next thing I know I got an error saying "Your phone is not connected to your PC blah blah". Am I missing something here?
P.S: I dont have a craddle, the phone is connected using USB cable.
Have you done any upgrades on the device at all?? (such as HardSPL or a new radio)

Read the Threads ... without HardSPL you cant Flash a Cocked Rom. If you are sure, you have a HTC Niki and not a HTC Neon??? If you dont know this ... read wiki!

I have a Indian HD2 and I want to try MAGLDR 1.11. But i have the official 3.14 rom with the 3.03 spl and the HTC website doesnt have any older official Roms. My S/N is not accepted in other regions ("Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device."). My questions are:
1. Is it safe to flash the WWE 1.66.405.2 official rom using gold card method even though the website says its not suitable?
2. If not, How do I go back to older version spl so i can install HSPL?
well can help brother.. jus go to the site shipped roms.com .... goto the leo section select asia india 1.48... rom.. and flash it... then do this hardspl 2.08 and the radio thingie... i did 2.14 one and then flash magldr ...... do thank me..... and i did it ... indian hd2 works cool...
