OK!
The above ROM has been released and I believe many users have already downloaded it.
Just to check whether:-
a) any problme faced during installation? Is the upgrading procedure straight forward?
b) any problem upgrading from WAXX ROM to this UK ROM?
c) any problme faced during upgrading from i-Mate v1.72 to this UK ROM?
d) other problems encountered?
Thanks for your feedback
ive downloaded both and tried had no problems so far try using file from here

RE
Hi Hobbit!
What file and where's the link?
BTW, is the performance better than the WAXX ROM and the i-Mate v1.72 ROM?
Thanks

sorry was in different forum lol
I've uploaded ROMs here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=12528
yep tried em both. no real noticable difference to the unofficial 1.72 ive been using for months. Looks like its new device time as no hope of further updates - unless someone knows differntly....
I have upgraded, no problems.......everything works fine !!
RE
Just one question.
Is this upgrade solely meant for UK users?
I'm from the asian side. I just can't wait for myxda to release its asian version.
Any problem with my asian telco operators here?
Thanks
I just upgraded my XDA II to the O2 UK 1.72.187 release. It all went well. I previously had installed the i-mate 1.72 ROM.
I had used Activesync to do a full backup prior to upgrading, and I restored it after the upgrade. After a couple of soft resets, everything seems OK, including the Widcomm bluetooth stack I previously had installed.
So, although early days yet, everything seems OK
Only downside - in my opinion
I was using the asian ROM version 1.60.44 for the longest time without any problems, I just upgraded to the UK ROM version 1.72.181 and the only downside I noticed, as of now, is that the clear type sucks, its just like the 1.72 of the i-Mate, of the 1.66 of the Asian O2. It was way better in the old ROM I was using.

Take a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=9279
Thanks DCS for the link. My ClearType is A OK again now
My pleasure
Just upgraded to the image with blackberry version on a CPW xdaII runing 1.66 - result good
1st I backed up with version 3.7.1 of active sync
then I hard reset
then I closed all the programs and icons in the system tray
First it failed with usb left on the screen.
I did a soft reset and re ran the upgrade program again and all is well.
I am now restoring the backup, haha which worked except for a few files which I skipped, these were the same files that were skipped on a normal restore.
Now my destinator satnav is working and that is tied to the machine so all in ace
what have I gained, I don't really known, looking forward to the fax though,
where is it?
Simon
Additional download.
You will find it in the Fax software in the XDAIIAppSuite uploaded by The Hobbit in his post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=12526

Do you try ClearType Tuner in this ROM, the file is cttune.cpl.CAB
I think it's another way to correct the cleartype problem beside the dcs' way? Is it right?
is there anyone got problems like mine?I stuck with SMS, i did send one sms to my number and it takes 4 hour to delivery it and when i go to sent box i didnt see any sms that i have sent???? do you knows that and can you tell me how to fix it?
From Inbox check Tools/Options/Keep copy of sent mail in Sent folder
As for the four hour delay - I get that sometimes - I put it down to O2 network.

does this still have the gawdy telstra boot-up screen?
This is the old Telestra rom date: 09/08/06 and which is available on the xda-developers ftp.
No new i-mate roms since then and it has the Telestra boot screen.
yes it's an old ROM but it doesn't have the Telstra boot screen.. well mine doesn't.

So I Update To Htc 1.35
I Think Its The Best
Im From Israel And All The Phones Came With This Rom
The Extended Rom Full Of Many Stuff Thats Make It Slow
Not Reccomand
Well, I have been using this Rom for 2 days now and have to report it is my favourite so far. No hang ups, no lost GSM or UMTS - no reboot needed so far.
Blackberry works flawlessly, and the whole phone feels faster..
install with confidence
It may be better than what you had, but the point is that it's not new.
My replacement JASJAM, which I received two months ago, already had this version installed.
i purchased my jasjam last week of december, and since it had the arabic rom, it was outdated. So i just upgraded to this and device is more stable now.
but i think i might switch to the cingular rom next week.
other rom

Read this page on differences between the AKU levels.
New i-mate ROM?
I-mate seem to have an updated ROM avaliable and I was wondering if anyone has tried it and their thoughs on it.
Main Rom the same 1.31.305.2
Radio updated to 1.21. .... from 1.20
ExtRom updated to ... .104 from 103
I'm not a cooker - happy to stay with std ROMs (I burn water when I try to boil it).
This is the best ROM till now. Has some issues but better than the WM-6, WM-5 Qtek, etc. Need an urgent small polished upgrade from I-mate and this will be the best ROM with speed and all else perfect.

Which version of I-mate if it is Telstra I cannot use it as we do not have that network here.
I check everyday on the wiki site but I-mate does not have any new version.
Please can you tell me whether you are telling about WM-6 other versions or the official version. If so please guide me to the exact location for the newer version.
It has appeared on Orange's business site here
http://www.business.orange.co.uk/se...4132772045&extarg1=Phone&t=SMEDeviceDownloads
Could it be the official wm6 update?
Nope, it's WM 5.0, why did they even bother to post it?
What Radio ROM version does it come with?
It comes with:
IPL 1.01
SPL 1.11
Radio 1.38.00.01
Operator version 14.211.1.613
Rom version 2.11.61.3
Rom date 05/21/07 (yes this IS the one released OCT 07)
Protocol version 32.71.7020.12H
OS 5.1.465
Build 15673.3.3.1
Isn't this a duplicate of the April 07 ROM update?
No the "new" one is 50.0mb in size and the "older" one is 48.7mb in size. So far I haven't seen any differences, but have not spent much time with it...

Not sure what differences there are but in terms of "Numbers", the only differences between the previous release and this one are:
OLD
Operator version 14.211.1.611
Rom version 2.11.61.1
NEW
Operator version 14.211.1.613
Rom version 2.11.61.3
....so does that mean any changes will only be seen in the "Orange Customisations" apps?
Matt
Yet another pointless move from Orange.
FFS sort it out Orange, release the damn Tytn2 to the retail channels already, you should have done this in September instead of insisting you knew nothing of a new SPV to be released.
Oh and whilst you are at it, sort out "unlimited*" data packages like the other operators offer as 30Mb for £8 a month just doesn't cut it, when I spend £45 a month on my voice and text package.
iis there a beta wm6 rom or leaked official orane wm6 rom for hermes
could have swarn there was one leaked??
http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/show/handset/htc_tytnii/detail/pay_monthly
I'll go get me one of these....
Or go to your local Orange shop where they have them in stock and not part of an out of date 'Coming Soon' page.....
need to revert from pk3 back to shipped rom for uk t-mobile ameo as claiming on insurance due to screen crack which file is it ive checked the ftp but not sure which file is for tmobile ameo uk. thanks
The WM6 ROM is available from the T-Mobile website
When I sent mine back a few weeks ago, I loaded the german t-mob rom (with the old radio on) then stuck the wm6 rom from their website on.
Plus have a look at the xda ftp website, there are a number of official roms there.
Or if someone wants to tell me how to extract the current rom from my phone, its the latest one being issued by t-mob.
thanks i forgot they finally released the upgrade
Last time I looked there was an original WM5 version on their site too.
since i've got HD2 i have been tryng lots of combinations for radio and rom
but nothing works fine.. poor signal, data keeps droping and changing a lot..
does anyone know what configuration is best to use with vodafone uk? (my sim card is new)
ROM:Artemis 41.0 WWE (02/11/2010)
RADIO: 2.12.50.02_2
2.08.hspl
thanks!!
hi Ch,
sorry but there is no such animal as 'the best.........etc'
depends on too many factors - most specifically - your location in UK.
i live near Axminster, Devon & have tried dozens of combi's.
currently (check sig) works for me - radio version 2.15.50.14 is miles ahead of all others (up here in the hills).
keep flashing - it will come right - promise. HD2 is a superb m/c.
I have to agree, Ive found 2.15 radio best so far battery not amazing but it more than makes up for it... other than that I am using 2.10 as in my sig.
Basically I have come to the conclusion that Vodafone sucks, its not the radio its F***ing Them! They used to be really good but I think their network is running on economy or something.
I'll be moving to O2 when my contract runs out.
@ osrix
+1 on that.
o2 is also coming my way soon.
edit: better change 1st part my sig. lol
Dude, I think your problem might be that you are using Artemis ROM v41 with HSPL2.08.
If you read the Artemis ROM thread, all versions after v37 (so v40, v41, v42) are built from the new SPL 3.14 base.
There are reported memory issues when using these later Artemis ROMs with HSPL2.08 and it is recommended to use the stock ROM 3.14 SPL.
Unfortunately if your phone is a Vodaphone, 02 or T-Mobile UK branded HD2 there is not a stock ROM v3.14 available yet. (no-one seems to know if they are planned).
If you read the Artemis thread you have a couple of options:
1.) Flash v40/v41/v42 using the Goldcard method to "rebrand" your phone to orange/HTC
2.) Use Artemis v37 which will work fine with HSPL2.08 (this is what I'm currently using & its working fine)
after a goldcard boot method running an official rom, phone stucks 0% on cooked
I got a gold card and have flashed an official leo 3.14 rom using the boot method pressing buttons..
but now, when I try to flash an artemis from gold card or usb the process gets stuck on 0%!!
now there..
spl 3.03........
(WWE) 3.14.405.2
Radio: 2.15.50.14
Manila: 2.5
vodafone uk - still
**android works fine with this official rom but i want other.. should i come back do 2.08 spl??thx
Hi Guys,
I am also with Vodafone UK, using their official Stock ROM 1.72 and having same/like problems you have indicated. I live in Manchester and even so don't have a decent signal at home. At least they gave me their Sure Signal unit to boost my home reception.
I was with O2 before moving to Vodafone (bcz they at had that time the best price plan for a free HD2 handset) and regret the day. O2 has a much better network and a fantastic Customers Service. I was lucky to be on one of the last 12 months contract Vodafone offered so in 3 months time I would be back with O2!
