NEED AT&T SX56 (US) CD-ROM ISO image - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

Hello:
I'm planning on selling my SX56, and would like to provide the new owner with the CD-ROM that came with the phone, which I unfortunately lost. Can someone make an ISO of the disk for me? I can provide a spot to upload, or can download from your FTP server.
Thanks to all in the community.

O2 XDA FILE TRANSFER

Can anyone advise how an image or hand drawn images can be transferred to a pc and in which format is it transferred.
You can save it as a bitmap of jpeg file which can be read by the image viewer if you transfer it using the activesync. These are resized to the screen size, so if you want to view it full size or as a different file type you will need to get a some imaging software. Check out http://www.PocketGear.com if you need some.

Tim
Thanks Tim

Thanks Tim I will now go and buy one!

Opps - I would probably help if I actually read your post.
Well the principle is the same getting the file to your pc. Therefore you won't need software for the pocketpc - your pc probably arleady has some software.

Certificate in PocketPC 2003

Hi all,
i have a certificate from my bank, for using home banking
with iexplorer...
i so in PocketPC 2003 that can be instaled certificates...
the problem is that if i put my certificate (*.p12 )
in XDA i can't open it...
Enybodi now how can i install this certificate please ???
Thanks in advance
Denis
Hi! Has anyone came back with an answer to your question? I have a similar problem. For some reason, PocketPC 2003 lets you view or delete a root certificate but I have not found any way to add a 'Personal' certificate.
Any help out there?
there is a utility on microsoft website which lets add root certificates to pocketpc
u can get it http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;322956
Thanks, kalex. Yes, I found that one but I need somehow to add a 'Personal' certificate. Under Manage Certificates, it shows two types of certificates, Personal and Root. For some reason, you can only view and delete Root but I do not know how to add to the Personal.
Any ideas?
not sure. i only added root one
If there is olso the personal cert. well must be some procedure to add it...
We must find how to do it...
...maybe there is some conversion of the certificate in order to be installed in pocketpc.
I must use it for homebanking... please somebody explain us how we can register it.
Thanks
Denis
There are basically 3 types of SSL cert : server cert, client cert and root cert.
Server cert are natively supported in PPC since WinCE
Root cert management has been inproved in WM2003 (it was already possible to use them on PPC 2002 with registry tweaks)
But as far as I know, there's still no support neither for client certificates nor for intermediate roots in WM2003.
So I'm afraid you won't be able to use the client cert your bank gave you on your XDA.
Groan!
Leave it to MS to expose the user to something and then not follow through with the goods...
I am going to ask them directly and see what they say!
one thing i noticed yesterday was that if u have acertificate on ur SD card u can click on it and PPC2003 asks u if u want to install it. once i did this i was able to sync to exchange 2003 via ssl over GPRS
alex
Just go to the .cer file on your PPC and click on it. It'll ask if you want to install it.
Thanks for all the advise. Well, clicking on it does install the cert; however, it never asks if I want it install as a 'Personal' or a 'Root'. Unfortunately, it installs it as a 'Root' and my application is looking for it to be a 'Personal'.
Any other suggestions or thoughts?
Thanks! 8)
it needs to be exported as personal. u specify personal or root during export.
alex
Thanks! I will try that tomorrow at work.... :?
I have do have the same problem. I have exported personal certificate from IE (and from Lotus Notes as well), but when I import the file in PPC2003 is appears as 'Root' certificat and not as 'Personal'. (I need a 'Personal' certificate for VPN authentication).
Has anyone succeeded with this? :?:
Hi!
Still no resolution. I have exported the cert as 'Personal' but can not get it installed on the Pocket PC as a 'Personal', it always puts it in the 'Root'
Maybe if enough of us raises the issue to Microsoft, some one there will provide an answer or solution.
Thanks!
Download the .cab from my ftp.
Place the file on your PPC and execute it (PPC installer file).
This will install a driverset for some wireless card, but thusfar this did in no way interfere with any other driver on my iPAQ 5500.
Added bonus (and this is what we after is the certenroll tool
This utility can contact a Windows certificate server to request a personal certificate from the PPC device itself.
ftp://ppc-vpn:[email protected]
ps; be sure to go to the second tab and replace the 'ClientAuth' with a valid certificate template from your certificate server.

AIM 2/ PPC2002 - "Not valid to run on this device ?&quo

Hi all,
I just tried to load the new AIM for PPC2002 on my SER 1.2 XDA and it installed fine, but when trying to run it - it said it was not valid to run on the device..
Has anyone else seen this ??
Yes. In fact, I saw it on the new 4.00.16 T-Mobile ROM. It has the program installed (in 'Program Files' even), but it doesn't work giving the same message, and there's no link to it in 'Programs' either.
Keep in mind this is a US T-Mo software upgrade. The version of AIM that comes with it is for US T-Mo only. It checks your SIM card ID and if you are on any other network other than US T-Mo it will not run. You can do a search online to get the Old AIM client for PPC or you can buy the new one they both work since they are not specific to T-Mo version. I don't know why this is other than this software is avail for download off their website and anyone could get it for free since AOL has now decided to sell it and released a newer full client that also deos AOL Mail.
Hmm another thought is since its in ROM you might be able to overwrite all the .dlls in the \windows\ dir with the .dlls that are in the older version or maybe overwritting the listed files that are diff between 40011 & 40016 with blank text files with same name and changed file ext. This would however require you to remove the T-mo apps from start up incase it looks for any of these files durring start up. There's always a way unless devices stop thinking in x&o/1&0's.
Easy path just find th eold one it's online some where.

XDA II Mini Extended Rom Here!!

For a few of you the intellidialer or Smart dialer feature is in the extended rom here but you must be running WM2003SE on your Himalaya to use it.
I recently purchased the mini from Hong Kong with WWE on it. Nice device but the audio quality is just crap compared to the Himalaya, I guess I will be sticking with my 2020 for the time being. The size of the mini is really nice and the cam is a definite upgrade but I just can't sacrifice the audio quality for the size no matter what.
Where ????
pn the ftp site under o2 mini there is a zip file, it wouldn't upload through the board for some reason[/url]
The FTP post mode is strangely missing...

You are suppose to be able to post the file through FTP. The access is strangely missing....
I am pulling in your file from the FTP site....
For info, (if you don't already know), you can access the FTP site through Web Browser: ftp://xda:[email protected]/o2mini/
These files should be ploaded via ftp and placed in the ftp root.
Then you create the posting an link the uploaded file to it via the selectionbox/button (which is only present when there are new unlinked files in the ftp root.
Dual Sim Cab
I extarcted the rom and found a file dual sim cab.
hey can anyone tell me what does the file dualsim.cab does?
pls any one
Not sure what the dual sim does so I have left it out of the next extended rom for the Himalaya I am building.
Currently i dont have ftp acces, can anyone post the dualsim cab.
I am able to examine it.
I am currently in possesion of something called a ghost sim.
This allows you to place two sim cards simultaneously into your xda2 through an adapter and switch networks/phone number etc without swapping over the sim card all the time. Unfortunatelly my unit will not recognise the adapter whereas I know earlier versions to my unit do.
I've unlocked my xda2 so I can use my vodafone sim on it and obviously tried to run the two side by side in order to only carry one phone.
I dont have ftp access so I cant test the cab file but I would assume from the title that this is the software required to allow the ghost sim to operate correctly?
hi JPS
i m also ghost dual sim but the cab is not making any difference to it.
previously also i was using one operator at time after installing the cab also same.
i have tried it on both XDA II & XDA IIS so i cannot understand what does this patch actually does.
bye!
RE
Can use for O2 XDA II?
Can somebody upload here?
What are the new changes?
BT using v1.2?
Thanks

Could someone PLZ upload this O2 Mini ExtROM file using the regular method:
1. Upload via FTP in to the xda-developers ftp ROOT!!
2. Post new/reply message in which you link to the uploaded file
If you do it this way it works, otherwise the files are automatically deleted!!
Neuro senses tell me....

I sensed a frustrated soul..........
uploaded the file to the ftpsite, dude.
at last .... thank u very much my friend 8)
I am also a ghost dual SIM holder user and I use two different SIMs there are two ways by which you can access the two different sims (one at a time though).
1.) soft rest
2.) switch off phone and switch on
or turn on flight mode and turn off flight mode
May be, (just may be) the dual sim cab is an auto-configure program for the two different sims settings (GPRS, MMS,Internet,Wap, etc)
Right now I do it manually of using the auto config.
Please (somebody) upload the extracted dual sim cab. and we will explore altogether.

it been a while guess this is not posable?
The wallaby is a gsm phone, cricket runs on cdma (sprints i believe, correct me if im wrong) they two networks are not compatible
