HowTo use BT Headset as Audio Device on Mobile PC (no PPC)

Hi!
Hi have bought the bluetooth headset Globalsat BT-808 (Mini Dolphin) and it is a great product! I use it with my Qtek 2020 to make and receive calls. I wanted to use it with my mobile computer as a headset audio device via BT. I paired the BTH-808 with my computer BT adapter (Microsoft XP SP2) as AUDIO DEVICE... but if I try to change the default audio device on my mobile computer (a Realtek AC'97 on the mainboard) and try to select another device, there isn't the BT headset... only realtek! How I can add the BT Audio Device from the BT paired devices among the PC Audio devices available???
Thank's
Cristian
First enable the audio gateway in the bluetooth application on your PC. After this it should be possible to choose the audio gateway as BT audio playback device.
You have to connect manually to hear the audio. The connection isn't made automatically.

here is a list of the bluetooth profiles to get sereo audio to a bluetooth headset you require A2DP 0.95b Advanced Audio Distribution Profile
not sure if thats the same with mono audio
but i do think it rather likely that ms's default driver dont support many profiles at all
i would look into bluetooth software like vidcomm maybe you can install that it's bound to have more profiles then ms
ms dident invent bluetooth so they dont put a lot of efford into supporting it

Automatic Bluetooth Headset connection!

Does anyone know an app or a hack to get my blue stereo headset to connect as soon as I turn it on?
Humm this seems to work out of the box in my case; I just need to turn on the bluetooth & the headset ; after 2 sec they are working together fine.
but did you have to set it on bluetooth setting again as your hands free device?
I can get my Nokia Stereo Bluetooth headset to automatically connect for some reason! Its already paired but I constantly have to set it as my headset device in the bluetooth settings.
Here a link to my headset http://europe.nokia.com/accessorieslink?s=BH-501
Please let me know if anyone has any good ideas.
thanks

[Q] Bluetooth COM2 doesn't reconnect automatically!!

Hello, I've bought an NL-324BTR bluetooth TMC riceiver wich "works" on COM2 when I pair it with bluetooth. The problem is that everytime I start bluetooth on my device (I use phone weaver to autostart bluetooth connection in my car) the port COM2 doesn't reconnetc automatically and I have to go to the bluetooth settings and reconnect it manually. This is a very very bad issue for me (as you can imagine I can't drive and reconnect devices in the same time ). Is there an app, a script or something like that wich allows me to reconnect the COM automatically?
Uh, I was forgetting, in my car I've installed a parrot bluetooth hands free car kit wich works perfectly and automatically reconnect each time. I've also tried to use the COM with or without the parrot connection established but nothing has changed, no way to reconnect it automatically.
Any suggestion?
Thanks and regards
Andrea

[Q] Bluetooth car kit voice commands

Hi,
I've tried to connect to a Supertooth car kit and the phonebook starts to upload but at the end I get a message saying something like "contact transfers not supported by phone"
Then I tried with a Parrot Minikit+, no results as not a single transfer can be done.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks
Harold
solution found !
Parrot help desk has a tip:
be sure that you can bluetooth pair the minikit to the computer bluetooth to let the device know that a minikit is available to upload to. Once it is paired, (you can then unpair it and then - not necessary ! ) pair the minikit to the iphone or your P780. Once you have the minikit and iphone paired, you can then proceed to use the computer bluetooth program to get the vcf contact and send to the iphone.
In other words you have the iphone and minitkit paired. You then set the minikit to be ready to upload a contact. You then select the contact from the computer and select upload to the minikit. Not sure where to go from here but hopefully it is just a matter of the device drivers needed for your bluetooth dongle.
