Original ROM - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

Does anyone have the original rom. I flashed mine and I want to go back to the default and I forgot to back it up..

there is no such thing as a default rom
all rom versions around are rom versions which were default
on some xda
so unless you happen to know the rom version you had before
nobody can aswer your question

I'm about ready to lose it...

I've updated the ROM on my phone with 2 different roms recently and both of them have issues that are really upsetting me.
I've used NFSRom which I love and Vetvito's as well. I have a problem where both with occasionally freeze on me and when I go to do a reset (Hit the little button with the stylus) instead of just restarting it resets the phone back to defaults and wipes out everything like contacts and all. I've reinstalled both roms a few different times and still the same issue.
Can anyone point me to a ROM that's basically stable...
I am using an Alltel Touch Pro
Try the EnergyROM, I don't know what kind of device you are using so I can't give you a direct link, but just do a quick search and you will find it.
Use Calkulin's ROM. Fast, Stable, and loaded with lots of goodies. Here is a link to the ROM: http://www.mediafire.com/file/tzmgjytkzm3/Calkulin's Touch Pro 23506 ROM v4.2.7z
You can also download the kitchen if you are adventurous and wish to create your own rom from this link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/mthmk2vhoyd/Calkulin's Visual VGA Kitchen v4.2.7z
Calkulin is by far the most stable ROMs out there.... but other chefs have cooked up some better interfaces. You may want to go to PPCGeeks and check out the CDMA Touch Pro thread and see if there is anything else you like. Beware- the newer and flashier.... the more likely to have bugs.
Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any questions.
You didn't flash a stock rom before flashing one of the custom ones, did you?
I had the exact same issue when I flashed my first rom. I figured since I was coming from a stock rom there was no need to flash a stock one first, but I was wrong. Once I flashed back to stock -> hard reset -> flashed custom -> hard reset everything worked fine.

[Q] 2.2 stock-like ROM?

Hey guys, I'm new here and am a novice with rooting. I rooted my phone and installed the 2.1 rom that looked like the original. I really don't like the look of the "vanilla" or "darkened" modified roms.
My question is if there's a 2.2 rom designed like my 2.1 stock looking rom. I don't remember the exact rom I installed, but if you guys need it for reference I can try to find it again.
Thanks

There are basicly four 2.2 roms to choose from for the Eris. You would need to try them for your self. I've tried all of them myself. None of them look like 2.1. If you like your 2.1 rom, why don't you simply apply another theme to it.
If by "stock like" you mean 2.2 with HTC Sense then no there are no 2.2 roms like that. A vanilla rom would be the closest to "stock like" as you can get.

[Q] Whats the most basic - stock like ICS rom out for this phone?

Friends got this phone and hes tired of waiting for ICS. I told him id put a custom rom on there, but i want to make sure its stable because i dont want him to have many bugs.
Which ROM should i go with? Im guessing he would probably prefer a samsung based rom over a AOSP rom.
Your title of the thread and your question posted do not match. If you want the most stock and stable ROM then here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1731382
If you want something else then 10 users will give you 10 different recomendations. Then they will say its great and pefect but blahblah don't work and the ROM will only FC a few times daily.
Link to the stock ROM above should be the way to go unless you and your friend want to sit down and do some reading on your own.

[Q] Need guidance flashing sammy based rom from aosp

I have an international version of s3. the first rom i had flashed was foxhound based on 4.1.2. after a couple of months, i decided to find other roms to run as my daily driver. flashed a bunch of roms til i come to know of slimbean. flashed the one based on 4.3. after a week or two, wanted to try ultimarom v16. i backed up, wiped everything like i used to before flashing but this time something weird happened. i didnt get all the customizations that the rom is offering, just some minor ones.
so, i was wondering if i had done something wrong and missing anything. tried flashing it again but there were no changes. an example of whats missing is the inability to set toggles on the notification shade. cant even change the tiles on on the shade as well.
its kinda weird cause i read thru the ultimarom thread and those stuff were suppose to be in the rom.
thanks for ur help!!

[Q] Stock camera for LiquidSmooth ROM

Sorry to post this question fellow members, I've been looking for several days without any luck. I was gonna post this quetion in the ROM thread, but thought it was the wrong place.
Currently running LiquidSmooth 4.4.4 on a Verizon LG-VS895 and just NOW noticed the stock camera was gone. I was wondering how to port the stock files back into this rom. I really miss the gimmicky stuff (like magic focus) and was wondering how to eliminate the camera that comes with this rom and revert to the stock camera.
I downloaded a stock rooted rom and tried seeing if i could move files over from it to my phone, but I'm unsure of where to start. Sorry in advance if this has been posted or if I'm a stupid newb, but this is driving me bananas.
I tried flashing camera mod hoping that would restore it, but that didn't work either. So, this question is based off of a fresh install of this rom.
Thanks
