Hi everybody!
I have the iMATE ROM 1.72 (WWE) on a MDA2 by T-Mobile, but I would like to use the ITALIAN keyboard layout. In fact it is very useful to have on the keyboard main screen the letters like -è ò à ù - that we use very often in our language...
I have tried other software (like resco keybord...and so on) but I find the original keybord the better one due to the possibility of sliding the pen Up down right or left for space, delete, choosing the upper character on one button and so on...
Can anybody help me? Thanks
i know this dont really help you but people do make mods changing the normal keyboard to localized versions maybe there is an italian version out somewhere or you could make one yourself

Hi everyone this is my first post here so here goes,
Ive updated my athena to wm6 but my keyboard locale has now changed from swedish to english, now all the caracters your supposed to get after pressing fn key are messed up. Is there a way to fix this?

Keyboard layout
I use "Resco Keyboard Pro" since the WM6 upgrade.
It changes the touchscreen-keyboard-layout and the layout from the real keyboard, too.
My layout is german, but I took a look at the settings and swedish is available too...
Test free for 30 Days ...
(maybe then you already have you swedish ROM of WM6)

FYI prophet user/cooker,
Im happy i just install last night on my prophet ( with varanusvincent' Clean Black Edition ) and all three variants r working without problem,
cab is uninstallable without any problem.

Terrific piece of work! Thanks for the upload. I was looking for a good keyboard for a while now, and at first glimps it look very good.
I am busy all evening to "greenize" this thing... 269 files!

Only english and italian are supported, but I guess the original has more aboard, I think those other languages will follow soon.

yup... a bit similar~~~ and it seems to kill the auto_word_completion (original Keyboard)

You better post your question in the original thread, this one is only a sort of mirror and/or Prophet related.

there are several layouts included in the cap. but only the xt9 and othere needed files to make the kayboard work for english and italian.
if someone has the knowhow then just download my layout cabs from gullum.4shared.com and extract the ending with .kdb and ldb
they should look something like this (for portuguese)
12.pthpd.kdb hpd.5x4.Portuguese.kdb spd.5x4.portuguese.kdb and PTlsUN_xt9.ldb
the new keyboard has the same files for english and italian in the cab so I guess it should work the regs in the cab has got the layout for
"060A"="hpd.5x4.Spanish.kdb"
"0610"="hpd.5x4.Italian.kdb"
"0607"="hpd.5x4.German.kdb"
"060C"="hpd.5x4.French.kdb"
"0609"="hpd.5x4.English.kdb"
I don't have the time to make this keyboard multilanguage as I did with the othere dual keybord.
It is realy simple to get all the layouts to work but takes a lot of time I might give it a try the next 2 days as we'll have 2 hollydays... but I have 2 roms to finish so I don't know if I'll have the time.... well I might just to it and include it in the roms and make cabs for the other languages we'll see what I can do.
Ok I've made an OEM pack and added all the files from the dual keyboar mentioned in the other post abow. I can now use almost all keyboards languages 15 in total but some have layout problems and for some only qwerty and phone pad work. so some more editing in the regestry is needed and also some images for layout is missing and need to be redone.

great works, thanks so much! can u tell us, which languages currently work and which don't?
well the once that don't work a all right now are russian and greek.
all the others are working kind of eng. ger. fra. ita. esn. ptg. czech. dan. ndl. fin. nor. swe and plk.
But as I said it will take a lot of time to get all working... it's easy to do it but time consuming.

short answer is yes.... but after a bit more study of the cab I have found that for the keypsd the layout is differen from dual and for the qwerty ther are some new files so we will need more files from diamond to get all languages to work

ok...would it be possible to make a cab with the languages that work right now? it should be possible to get all necessary files when the diamond is official released

Terrific that you are looking into it! I had planned to do it myself, there are a few cluos mentioned in the original Kaiser thread, but my experience in reg-editing isn't that big. So, I'm glad an expert has taken this challenge. If there is any need for editing the picturefiles or anything else, just PM me.
not able to type alphabet using the htc diamond keypad....how can i fix this prob...each time i press d button, only the number came out...
if i press button 2 twice...."22" will appear...
the other qwerty and keyboard work fine on my prophet....except keypad...
problem fixed ----> soft reseted

tested but i had to hard reset cos too buggy, slowed my prophet, and uninstall is quite impossible.
Hi guys,
I just updated my HTC Touch Pro to 6.5 with one of the made roms from here.
Works very nice.
The problem is, there ain't any danish keyboard layout.
So i can't use the following letters: æøå
Though i can see the letters no problem if i receives messages with em'.
I just cant type them my self.
Anyway to solve this? Ive look around the forum but can't really seem to find anything useful.

Hy, there is a registry entry that changes the layout of the keyboard and you have to change the value to 0407 (engl.) or 0409 (germ.) or the number of your country ... Sorry that i cant say more at the moment, but im sure you will find that by using the search..

I have now tried with all the .reg's and stuff around the forums, scandinavian hardware keyboards etc.
The closest i got, was with Scandinavian Keyboard by Fraction.

Then i get all my FN buttons to work ( those that are highlighted with green color ) EXCEPT Æ Ø Å.
This is really confusing lol. :-(
Try this:

do a soft reset
Maybe you have to choose danish in the settings anywhere

I have iTap Keyboard but it is in QWERTY so I would like it to be AZERTY. I guess I have to edit the apk but how & where is the question.
