I had to format an SD card so downloaded Resco Explorer 2003 V5.
Prior to installing it System info reported my XDA II as having PPC 2002 installed.
After installing Resco explorer it reports PPC 2003 installed.
How can I check which I actually have?
There is no ROM for the XDAII that is based on PPC2002.
So you definitly have a WM2003...

I downloaded some programs and games from internet but I have a problem instaling it. When I run exe programs it says This is not a Windows CE application and other (cab) programs just make a beep and that is it. What am I doing wrong? I am sure the programs are for xda or Windows CE. Is it possible to change get a language pack for windows? Slovak? And one more thing. Where can I get windows 2003 with easy instructions? Thanks for anybodies help.
often when you get an pocketpc exe file it's an exe file for windows which install using activesync
only rarely are the exe files bins for pocketpc's

Hi
Finally I got my touchscreen to work. Also a lot of other things like GPRS to work.
No I wan't to read pdf-documents, but there is no Acrobat, so I need to install. I downloaded:
AdbeRdr20_ppc_enu.exe from acrobat pocket pc download
and
acrobatreader-ppc2002.exe from tucows
I put them in the storage card folder with ActiveSync.
When I open them in the Pocket PC I get a message says: Is not a valid Pocket PC application.
Why can't I install?
The rom is cooked from romkitchen
Rom version: 4.02.04 ENG
Radio version: 3.23.0
Protocol: 32S54

Just run the exe-file on your PC with the device connected via active sync.
Looks lite it is an installer for the software using active sync and not a application directly for the device.

Is it possible to somehow store my original ppc 2003 (on my desktop computer or anywhere) before flashing to wm6 so i could downgrade back to it (ppc 2003) if i dont like wm6?
I really like this 2003 because it's very stable.
