I have understood so far that "cooking" ROMS let you do whatever you want, the problem is to cook it well!! :wink:

what i'm saying is not that you can install and use it but
if you want english language then you need to use a english rom
you cant use a italien rom and change the language to english
of cause being from italy you may not mind having italien as your xda language

I have not upgraded to O2 but to T-Mobile english version...I think it's the same regarding the upgrade to Qtek ITA ROM 1.66, or not?
I can't open the ROM (16604ITAbyPinele.nbf) with ER2003edit, it say that the passw it's wrong...what should I do?

Dimmi solo una cosa però (ormai ti considero il GURU del settore ), avendo l'MDA2 di T-mobile con ROM in inglese è possibile per me istallare la ROM Qtek 1.66 (magari rimaneggiandola con ER2003edit?)??
Perchè altrimenti sto perdendo un sacco di tempo e basta...

Come si fa per "burnare" la rom ita sulla sd?
ho provato con xdatools ma:
- se provo a burnarla da montata sull'xda2 xdatolls mi dice prima che e' protetta da scrittura, poi che non c'e' abbastanza spazio libero.
- se provo a burnarla su un lettore di sd completa la procedura ma non fa altro che copiarla. non rende bootabile la sd.
avete quanche idea???

per metterla sulla sd devi usare pswrite ...una utility che si trova nel pacchetto itsutils (fai una ricerca su questo sito)
non so cmq. se riuscirai a fare il boot dalla scheda con quell'immagine ...credo manchi il bootloader ...bisogna aggiungercelo ...(processo rischiosissimo ed incasinato)
dovresti copiare il bootloader del tuo device sulla sd, poi aprirlo con un hex editor e "appenderlo" all'immagine che hai scaricato ...

Ovviamente mi unisco alla tua richiesta a mdkia (un mio sentito grazie!) per sapere se utilizzare ER2003edit o altro per poi installare la rom (anch'io parto da una versione inglese anche se O2).

pensa che nella giornata di ieri ha generato un traffico in uscita di 2.7GB di dati ...(non è una linea dedicata ...è un'utenza domestica ...è già tanto che vada 8) )

puoi cambiare la lingua, ma non è semplice con quell'immagine ...leggi sopra ...

Where is the cube?
Everybody is talking about cube,
I installed 4.0.0.0.6 PV-Touch. I saw nice touch flo operations.
But when I press the button just below the camera button I see 6 Icons on the screen, I can move them by finger.
But I could see only three faces
1. 6 icons screen
2. Music, photos, video screen
3. contact buddies screen.
In cube it supposed to be 6 screen.
Other wise we should call it as triangle.
Can anybody is able to see all 6 faces?

Ciao a tutti sono Stefano, da qualche mese seguo lo sviluppo della rom e ho contattato Luigi che ha tradotto la rom da end->ita del P3600...
Questa estate non ho avuto tempo da dedicare per fare prove, ma non e' "difficilissimo" convertire la rom da end->ita ci vuole molto tempo...
Magari se riusciamo ad organizzarci qualcosa si riesce a combinare...
PS: Mi vendo il mio S200
PPS: Alcune cose cmq non vengono tradotte!! e la rom va testata tutta! xke alcune finestre potrebbero nn funzionare correttamente, e non credo sia possibile avere una rom bi-language

sono due giorni che tento di tradurre la pdaviet touch 4.0.0.0.6...
risultati nulli...ho già flahato tre volte e il cell non parte mai...torno alla vecchia rom inglese...
se qualcuno è più bravo di me mi puo contattare in privato? io sto tentando di aggiungere anche qualche software in piu come la camera 3.0 e altri...credo di sbagliare qualcosa in questo perchè quando faccio il buildos spesso mi da errori per file gia esistenti. ho provato a cancellare brutalmente dalla cartella sys qusti file e buildos si conclude senza errori ma alla fine il cel si impianta nella prima schermata di avvio.
se qualcuno mi puo aiutare gliene sarei grato...

Dubito potessi videochiamare col prophet dato che non è 3G..

Ciao ragazzi, sono nuovo di queste parti...ho qualche piccolo problema con il mio Orange M600 updatato con la spl 2.20. Avendo letto su questo forum che con la spl 2.20 è possibile passare immediatamente la nuova versione di Windows Mobile 6.1. Ho scaricato la Prophet_td_ita, con il rom update 2.5.2 ho aggiornato il palmare....e in circa 4 minuti si e riavviato.......ma e entrato in modalità bootloader da solo (sapete la schermata con i 3 colori)!!!!! Chi può aiutarmi........grazie.......calcolate che la versione precedente del firmware era di un Qtek S200 con spl 2.20 (originale Qtek).

Whilst I speak no Spanish (I think that's what you typed in...) I'm guessing you've flashed a ROM, onto a G3 Prophet, and it's got stuck in the bootloader.
You need to apply Hard/Soft SPL before a cooked ROM will work - read the WM6.1 upgrade sticky in the Prophet Mobile 6 Forum.
If the device fails to boot, read the http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Prophet_recoverywiki.
Oh, and BTW, this is an English speaking forum, so it'll help me, and others if you can write at least some English in your posts.

Questa ROM è davvero interessante.. pensi di rilasciarne una con una built più recente come la 20273? Mi sembra più veloce e meno pretenziosa in termini di batteria.

no mi dispiace non ho in progetto di lavorare con nuove built.
ho provato il porting diamond -> prophet in passato ma senza successo..
devo ricucinare questa rom per aggiustare dei link e includere PDC al today, quindi posso includere qualcos'altro.. idee?

E' il mio primo upgrade, e la rom va benissimo.....Sembra leggermente più veloce del vecchio WM5 che avevo installato dalla fabbrica.
L'unico piccolissimo problemino è che all'inizio lo schermo è fortemente disallineato, e un newbie potrebbe aver problemi....
