FM radio - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

Anyone that has read any of my other posts will know i'm just interested in getting my XDA to do what i want in blissful ignorance of how the programming was constructed and the way the damn things are built but here goes....
In order to get my xda to pick up FM frequencies would i need more hardware? is it available? or is there a program that reconfigures the anttena to pick it up?
As always all future help is greatly appreciated.

Time to petition them to make one for the best phone ever!
I'd be willing to pay in excess of $100 for that! (AUD)
Post you comments and / or email your interest.
The Touch HD is almost identical size to the 3G iPhone so perhaps they may produce one for us too.
Don't bother putting a xenon on one of the worst camera phones aka iPhone.
3. Is it available now? Where can I get it?
Snapture Flash is still a prototype, and Snapture Labs is actively seeking manufacturing partners to bring it to market. We are taking pre-orders now, you can sign up today and we will reserve one for you.
Looks like you may have a long wait as they haven't even made one yet !!

GeoTerrestrial group for Posting Radio Performance

If anyone is interested:
Are you sick of not having a strong signal on your Touch Pro or Diamond? Have you tried flashing every radio that you could find? Let your findings be known, and seen, on GeoTerrestrial! I have started a private group in hopes of getting users to post their radio findings so that others may benefit from them. You can join and help "map" out the best radio for your location by creating a GeoTerrestrial account here and then sending your account name to me in a PM. After you recive your invite, you can help by posting all of your radio findings.
Here is an example of what we're up to:

I live here in San Antonio, TX and I am using the radio version 1.03.09V and it seems to be working the best. I tried 1.12.34F, and it really sucked down here. I also tried an Alltel version, I just cant remember it, and it was ok. Nothing to write home about. So thats my findings so far.

Is there a way to get a different ROM on MT6589T device

Hello, I bought this phone fro china it seems to be a decent phone, but I can't help it when it comes to the software. This phone is called Lenovo s820T( of course it is a reproduction) but is there any chance to get other ROM on it? Because the Hardware has some potential:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And this is a snap of a section 'About phone'
Original ROM is not really stable, after using camere in HDR the phone reboots ant etc. I have some experience with Android, but when it comes to these kind of devices which do not have certain model, I am totally new . I would like to know from where to start (phone is rooted).
Help needed
I think I bought the same equipment right if the friends of the forum can help, I would be grateful.
There really is no where to start as most of those companies never release the kernel source code. So not a lot you can do. Not to mention they are known for lieing about the hardware

Noob Question: U5 or U6?

First of all, this is my first post, so hello all and good to meet you
I've been browsing this community for a while, and in my travels I come across these two numbers: either U5 or U6. I've searched my phone settings far and wide but I have no clue where it is or how to find it. Doing a search here or on Google hasn't come up with any results yet either.
Most people who talk about these numbers seem to just know, and it's making me feel mighty silly (which I most likely am)
Thanks for taking the time to click on and answer my question, it's much appreciated
First of all,
Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information
Then look for Baseband Version and you will see a number after U or after S.
I have attached a picture showing the same.
Hope this helps...
