Sorry for asking the same old question.. I have a Simlocked o2 XDAII and having read through the forums, I feel confident that there is a solution within the info, I just can't be sure that I have understood which is the best option. There seem to be several suggestions, some based on which radio version you have, some based on which ROM version and given that the version numbers dont run in sequence, I'm not sure I have found the latest?
If someone could guide me as to which is the best/safest unlocking suggestion for an O2 XDAII with the following, I'd hugely appreciate it.
ROM version 1.03.00 USA
ROM Date: 24Sept03
Radio version: 1.05.12
Protocol version: 1337.12
Software: PPC 2003 with Outlook 2002
Hi everyone,
I copied the Extented Rom from my T-Mobile MDA 2.

Re: Extented Rom from T-Mobile MDA 2 1.72.00 WWE

Re: Extented Rom from T-Mobile MDA 2 1.72.00 WWE
Hi item187,
Is your MDA in German?
And you want to have English?
I have the WWE (World Wide Engelish) version.
It's the original Rom from T-Mobile Netherlands.
Radio 1.17
Rom 1.72.00
Do you need this one or only the Extentend Rom?
Greetings [email protected]
I need the WWE full ROM version. I have an MDA II and all I can find is the German ROM.
Re: Extented Rom from T-Mobile MDA 2 1.72.00 WWE
Hey [email protected]
I too would like a copy of that ROM if you don't mind sharing.
I'm relatively new to this site and the world of the Himalaya. Best device I ever purchased. Foolishly I never backed up the original ROM (the one you have) and have been upgrading and other things since. Would be nice to get it back to "factory" settings just in case I ever sold it (looks like they're making progress with the Blue Angel so why not).
Cheers
HI_TMNL_17200_190_11700_Ship (Original T-Mobile NL Rom)
Check this link.
http://www.t-mobile.nl/global/media/zip/HI_TMNL_17200_190_11700_Ship.exe
Rom version: 1.72.190
Radio version: 1.17
The site is in Dutch but the Rom is in WWE (World Wide English).
Also they mention that the use is at own risk. :!:
And that when you update all data on your mda will be lost. :!:
So make a backup before you update

HI_TMNL_17200_190_11700_Ship (Original T-Mobile NL Rom)
Hey [email protected]
Thanks for the ROM link. Might be a bit out-dated at this point but you never know...it could actually come in handy one day so its good to have.
Hi,
do you have a link also for the German T-Mobile ROM, just in case we need to go back to the original version.
Thank you.
Hi guys. I have the following:
ROM Version: 1.60.00WWE
ROM Date: 12/03/03
Radio Version: 1.08.00
ExtROM Version: 1.60.44
Of course, I don't know what any of that means but would appreciate one of the Gurus on this site to suggest a suitable upgrade for me. Something tried, tested and suitable for technophobes like me (ie simple download, copy to device and run .exe?).
I am living in Singapore so a suitable Asian version please.
Also, does anyone have any problem with the ringtones on the XDA II (Himalaya)... I am forever missing calls because it just doesn't seem loud enough. My old mobile/hand phone had the neighbours complaining of noise pollution.
Is there a solution for this?
Thanks
Try the SE CHS version, located on the FTP site. You should.
I had the same exact device information
ROM Version: 1.60.00WWE
ROM Date: 12/03/03
Radio Version: 1.08.00
ExtROM Version: 1.60.44
and tried the CHS translated and it made the screen all skippy and it was impossible to setup, etc. So what I did was I just used the genuine wm2003se in the wiki and created my own extended rom, much easier ;D
Dear Friends,
I have a WM2003SE software files but I have no idea
how to install to a XDA2.
Also went to Buzz site and noticed the Rom's but this
is all new to me.
Could anyone help me with instructions "For a Dummy,
step to step" on what to do?
This is my actual configuration of the TSM500
(HTC model PH10B, is the Spanish Telefonica Movistar
version of XDAII):
ROM version: 1.72.03ESN
Rom Date: 03/15/04
Radio version: 1.10.00
Proto version: 1337.18
ExtROM version: 1.72.102
I have downloaded from buzzdev.net this files:
- WindowsMobile2003SE_XDA2_2[1].06.00WWE.zip
- 2577.rar
- Radio1[1].14.zip
- WindowsMobile2003SE_XDA2_2[2].20.00CHS-translated.zip
- bootextract.exe
But I have an enormous confusion.
Some explanations seem to describe to a very simple process, others by an enormous complications.
I don’t know since there is to do it.
Somebody can help, taking me to me step by step, in the process.
My preferred languages for the 2003SE are, in the order:
- Spanish
- Italian
- English
Thank you very much whoever to help me.
Greetings from Madrid.
