I have a WM2003SE software files but I have no idea
how to install to a XDA2.
Also went to Buzz site and noticed the Rom's but this
is all new to me.
Could anyone help me with instructions "For a Dummy,
step to step" on what to do?
This is my actual configuration of the TSM500
(HTC model PH10B, is the Spanish Telefonica Movistar
version of XDAII):
ROM version: 1.72.03ESN
Rom Date: 03/15/04
Radio version: 1.10.00
Proto version: 1337.18
ExtROM version: 1.72.102
I have downloaded from buzzdev.net this files:
- WindowsMobile2003SE_XDA2_2[1].06.00WWE.zip
- 2577.rar
- Radio1[1].14.zip
- WindowsMobile2003SE_XDA2_2[2].20.00CHS-translated.zip
- bootextract.exe
But I have an enormous confusion.
Some explanations seem to describe to a very simple process, others by an enormous complications.
I don’t know since there is to do it.
Somebody can help, taking me to me step by step, in the process.
My preferred languages for the 2003SE are, in the order:
- Spanish
- Italian
- English

I'm recent member of this forum and I would like, in my first post, to congratulate everybody involved for the high quality of the information provided.
The reason of my post is simple, I've recently purchased a T-Mobile MDA II in Germany and I would like to change it for English.

I appreciate if anybody out there could give some simple directions from where should I start. I have seem that there are a lot of upgrades with different features however for now I would like to start slowly, if possible.

Where can i get the best file for upgrading? i've search all over the xda-developers.com using search menu, but i still can't get the file...i'm only found the tutorial about how to upgrading it...

You should post this message in the Himalaya Forum, cause if you don't have a wallaby and post this in the wallaby part, the chance is very low, that someone could help you.
Also i think, there are lot of posts of this topic...
Have you already took a look at the ftp-server? There should be the required files...

ExtROM Version: 1.60.44
Of course, I don't know what any of that means but would appreciate one of the Gurus on this site to suggest a suitable upgrade for me. Something tried, tested and suitable for technophobes like me (ie simple download, copy to device and run .exe?).
I am living in Singapore so a suitable Asian version please.
Also, does anyone have any problem with the ringtones on the XDA II (Himalaya)... I am forever missing calls because it just doesn't seem loud enough. My old mobile/hand phone had the neighbours complaining of noise pollution.
Is there a solution for this?

Try the SE CHS version, located on the FTP site. You should.
I had the same exact device information

and tried the CHS translated and it made the screen all skippy and it was impossible to setup, etc. So what I did was I just used the genuine wm2003se in the wiki and created my own extended rom, much easier ;D

I have a Qtek 2020 and I bought it online, and/so I can't register it online at the qtek website. My problem is that it has an English OS.
I would like to update the ROM version to a Dutch one, but I don't know how the get one and how to do that. Could someone help me?

are you sure ms even makes a dutch rom ?
they dont support that many languages in mw2003
heard that mw2005 was suppose to support more but

first of all, i am a beginer, and my english is not so good...
i try to understand how to change the language (rom) for my HTC, but its a lot of information, and i am confused allready. i dont now if i must unlock or not my device, witch metod, and what version of rom i need...

1. i must run a upgrader tool to unlock before upgrade the rom?
