Duxz, no worries. Most of the software were writen prior to SE, so it's just a warning. Of course some of the software doesn't run well on SE. I have a friend on the IIs and it doesn't run Battery Pro 1.1 well (makes his IIs unstable). For me it works fine ... no prob (still keeping my fingers crossed).
hey alvin, guess wat.... i think i screwed my whole xda up big time this time round...lol. Sending it over to the service center in sunway in da morning for them to load it up with the original rom... but will try to install the wm2003se again once i get it back...
i think the service center is gonna see me pretty often.... muahahahaha.
ok malaysian xda2 users..... i just got my unit back from the service center in sunway, PJ. Things are ok now... back to the stock rom. Those guys there are pretty professional in wat they are doing... and bad statements said about o2 centers are not tat true after all.
For those who wanna fool around with the roms till it get screwed, have fun with it coz it only cost RM35 to get it back running again

Hi Duxz, I'm not sure how you could screw your XDAII dead, because there was 1 time my XDA II got disconected in the middle of an upgrade, but I managed to salvage it using the procedure highlighted in this tread ... my advise .. save the RM35.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=13651
I just upgraded my O2 XDA II to WM2003 SE using XdA2JoJo.v3.2zS.exe. Also changed the AutoConfig and add in the thing for Maxis. So far so good.
I give up with the WM2003 SE. Just revert back to the original one. Basically the XdA2JoJo.v3.2zS.exe just a bit too slow...
duxz, i'm having the same experience as you are. bring my xdaii to SC at Berjaya Times Square to flash the rom with ori OS. what an experience huh. i feel very cold that time, so as my xdaii. now my xda back to normal and i dont want to try that anymore, since i dont hv fren using the same device. now i couldnt get my cradle to work as usual. at first, no problem. can do sync and charge with cradle, but now, only charging, cannot sync. my windows cannot recognise the cradle anymore. try to update driver but fail. now i sync with IR. i want to use my xdaii as usb modem now but must get the cradle to work first. found forum on modifying the pin, and still afraid on doing any mod. is it because of the pin on my cradle is shorted or is it because my usb is not 2.0?
HAHA, I reflash it back by myself. But then, now I got use to flashing the OS, I'm testing the various WM2003 SE now...
hi everyone, i suggest to whoever who wants to play around with their device, read the post carefully. because what ever you are trying to do, i'm confident someone out there has already done it.
i flashed my device recently.. thank god its ok.
cheers
can you tell us how did you do that reflashing? others (at other forum) need 2 devices, put on cradle the ok one till update program asking to start the update process, then swap with dead one. yet to find friend with xdaii at the moment
maybe you could borrow eric's xda. ehehe
I downloaded this from O2 official website sometime ago. This will flash your O2 back to the O2 Official OS.
I'm now using WM2003 SE with XdA2JoJo.v3.2zS.exe. So far so good, except that I have some issue with the Bluetooth Handfree.
guys i would like to know after the upgrade of ur xda2 to windows SE can it detect spectec sd wifi????
I was updating my bootloader using the pnewbootloader.exe app found on the xda developers FTP this morning and something weird happened.
When the app was done it wrote 000000x000000 at the end and that was it. After updating my bootloader I restarted my phone, but it wouldn't start. It just froze at a black screen. Nothing.... I doubt if it's even on. Tried charging it and then turning it on but no responce. Even the Led is dead. I tried all sorts of methods to bring back to life but all has failed. It won't even charge for god's sake. I noticed that when i remove the battery and charge it without the battery, the led would turn red. Otherwise the device is completely unresponsive.
I desperatly need help hear you guys. This is a call for all the Pocket PC geniuses out there. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you have only two options..
GO TO THE NEAREST SERVICE CENTER and let them fix it for you
or
Do this (the instruction is for wallaby)
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=WallabyJTAG
if you get the result : 000000000:00000000 .. you upgrade your device correctly.. but why it kills your device .. i really dont know ..
the correct bootloader for HIMALAYA are boot_1.03.nb0,boot_1.01.nb0 and bootloader_1.06.nb0 ..the other bootloader in FTP the 515.nb0, 517.nb0 is for WALLABY .. bootloader_for_wm5.0 is not a bootloader but an IPL thats why i added in the name and warned not to use it.
anyway i already gives my warning about Downgrading/Upgrading a bootloader
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=124909#124909
and was about to post HOW to do it .. but i change my mind since i also kill my Device due to some research and experimenting using an older than 1.01 bootloader

where can I find a service center here in manila?
tnx a lot
Thanks for your tip but ......
Well from what it seems I must have fried my device.... Now my question would be, how the hell are they gonna fix it ? And how much will it cost ?
If it's a matter of flashing a new bootloader then it shouldn't cost too much, but if they plan to replace a rom chip then I would suspect high repair charges.
If any body has any idea how much it might cost to have this problem fixed please don't hesitate to mention it cause it will surely make a difference.
If it's gonna cost me alot then I would rather buy a used xdaII and use it as spare parts for my original xdaII. Probably change the whole PCB and have it replaced with the used xdaII's PCB

if it is under warranty .. just dont tell them about flashing your bootloader .. they will fix it with no cost .. but if already out-of-warranty .. then i dont know how much really it cost for them to repair it ..
but there is always one fact in service center .. no matter how big or small they will do to your device .. it will take long before you can get your device back ..

I got one question here .....
First of all allow me to extend my thanks to Toenailed for his help on this. Now for my question. I don't get ..... How come, after all the software and hardware knowledge we've got here in this forum, we still can't fix corrupted bootloaders ? Can it be true that service centers have special hardware equipment designed to flash corrupted bootloaders ?
I live in U.A.E, Dubai .... and to be honest, I'm pretty sure that the service center is gonna tell me that the PCB needs complete replacement. Our service centers prefer to replace rather than to fix. I bet if I tell them about the bootloader issue they won't have a clue and insist on replacing the main PCB.
I seriously don't know what to do. I'M STUCK !!!!
is there a way that bootloader can be done without the need of the service centers?can you teach us?
Ok you guys this is ****'n serious **** ....
I sent my phone to the service center this afternoon, and guess what .... they couldn't understand what happened and have sugested to have the PCB changed. Changing a PCB would cost 1,400.00 DHS This is sooooooooooo ****'n expensive. A used pocket pc would cost 1200.00 DHS. I got so pissed off at this. Our service centers prefer to replace than to repair.
Now, it's been 18 hours without my pda and it's been a living hell so far. I'm so ****'n desperate right now that I could actually kiss the guy that comes up with a solution.
This is a call to all pocket pc experts including ( Buzz Lightyear, Toenailed, and Mamaich ) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE you guys ... This is really heart breaking. I'm currently trying some reviving methods but so far I haven't been lucky with anything. I really hope you come up with a solution u guys !!!
There's only one way to fix the Bootloader is by using the Jtag method to the PCB which is not described or anyone went into this experimentation especially on the HIMALAYA's Board or later ones..
I'm sorry to disappoint you my friend but pray if Toenaild will go further more and study it  and making it easy to happen...
I'm really stuck here .....`
Buzz Lightyear & ToeNailed
For God's sake please come up with a simplified version of the steps needed to repair a corrupted bootloader. I'm sooooooooooooo ****'n desperate now. Our local market doesn't even have spare parts or pcbs.

I am willing to buy your unit for 150-200 USD (you pay shipping). please let me know if you are interested.
I am in Europe.
and, if you are not satisfied with my offer, take into account that for 450 USD you can get a brand new one with warranty here (not officially, surely )
i finally got my device back ..
i didnt pay even a centavos since it is still under warranty .. they replace the motherboard
i already ask them how much it will cost if i will pay the board and they said it should be around 1,950 to 2,950 Philippine Pesos (35.45USD to 54USD)

brightpoint doesn't repair xda anymore as per their customer representative. It took me 2 hours to got to their service center and spend time waiting for my turn just to tell me that they no longer repair/reprogram xda. What a waste of time and effort. Can you please advise me where to get this services, tnx.
Hi All,
Hope someone can help me, my screen only works after its been heated on radiator for 2mins. Hope someone has a suggestion. Any help be great.
Thanks
This listen like a hardware defect.
If u have warranty any longer, use it.
If not u can ask on a phone repair station if they could have a look on it (ask before if the first look on it also costs or not)
Sorry for no better solution.

hello, i have a problem with my xperia u, i cant text properly with it, some times the letter cant be pressed(im using the 3x4 keyboard not the qwerty, but even qwerty keyboard cant be pressed the letter sometimes). my girlfriend experienced it on her xperia u too 2months ago, but its under waranty that time so the service center did repair it successfully. but now my phone's waranty is already expired, we took it too service center too, but they did not succeed on repairing it, they said the touch screen must be replace. i dont want to think this way but i dont believe it because my girlfriend's phone has been repaired with a very similar problem, now i think that they said that to me so they can get more money if i will agree to them to replace the touch screen. does anyone know how to fix this? its different on other not responsive screen problem, i check the service test on touch screen and there is no broken line, its just hard to press sometimes on texting but there is no problem making a line. factory reset and repairing via PCC and SUS is not solving the problem(both on mine and on my girlfriend's phone when she is experiencing the problem) thank you very much in advance to everyone.
If it's a hardware problem no one here can help you fix it.
Lots of touchscreen problems woth U and Sola, I would think Sony should fix them free of charge.

actually i dont think that it is a hardware problem, because like what i've said, my girlfriend's phone experienced the exact problem that im encountering right now, and they fixed it with i dont know what they did but they didnt replace anything, meaning its only a software defect. if i was remembering it right, they are talking about software calibrate or something like that but im not so sure about it. maybe they dont want to fix it with free charge now thats why the saying that it is a hardware problem for me to pay. i really believe someon could help me here, i would be very thankful and im thanking now in advance.
