Just like to find out is there any way to remove those recent programs at "START" .
One more qns , after upgrading to 2003se , 2.06
When I add a Midi file to Windows/Rings and set as ring tone , it won't work :? It used to work when I'm using 1.72
Is it a bug :?:

1)Try tweaks2k2 ver 3.0. It shall do the job u want.
2) I got no problem wif it.

Yes tweaks2k2 can delete the recent programme. U can try the trial...

tweaks 2k2 doesn't work on the 2.20 chinese rom. I did find that by deleting the reg key HKCU-Software-Microsoft-Shell-Taskswitch the list is cleared. Could somebody maybe make a CAB file for this so I can put it in the startup folder ? Don't know if it will work but I'd like to try.

I did & tested , when I enable bluetooth (not the headset profile)
the headset profile in Today Screen gone, must turn on & off again to make it turn back out

That upper register is for the Chinese ROM
& I did tested with the English Rom for Win2k3 SE

Your version is translated from Chinese. Due to the fact that its NOT 100% translated you'll get those strange looking folders/boxes/fonts which are actually in Chinese if you've a Chinese software installed to see them.

why dont you try the 2k5.. it does have the wm10 and got alot of changes (*better in my opinion, still have some bugs on hardware/soft) but its only minor for me..

I have tryed the WM2005 but seems to me that is a buggy OS.

hmm.. not for my experience.. my 2k5 is loaded with programs... and works brilliant.

It is possible to fix those problem by a patch.
those "strange folders" are "Start menu", "Startup", "Favourate" and "Program" in \windows
You can change those folder to its english name however you must find them in registry and change them too.
some registry need to be translated such as :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ConnMgr\Destinations]
you can guss they are "Internet settings" from "Internet ??" etc
Issue of font size can be fixed in
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontLink\SystemLink]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\SYSFNT]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\V1\FontAlias]
However i doubt there is anyone still interested in this version.
I dislike some bugs of it which I don't know solution.
such as taping connection icon will lead to hang up if flight mode is on.
I like some program in this CHS extrom such as battery indicator and that flight game.

My cousin just bought an Acer PDA with the wm2003se 2.20.07 wwe. How can the rom be extracted from the pda. If that can be done I may be able to post it here.

i don't think that acer has windows mobile 2003 se PHONE EDITION and nobody can take rom from one device to another (not even from alpine to himalaya) so it would be useless

That's it! I'm trying WM5 again (since two weeks ago).
ROM 1.60a is great and I recommend it to everybody.
This version just lacking one thing: a 32MB permanent storage (it have 2x16MB now).

Perhaps an older ROM will not allow it.

AFAIK you can set mp3 for it. I convert them to mp4 extension and it works for me. Btw the MP4 is around 70% smaller then mp3 and really a good quality.

First you name the first song to 1 word:
Example: Anouk - Lost.mp3 -> anouklost.mp3
Then you put it in Windows/Rings.
You get your mp3 there.. I think of you have a hard/soft reset you won't need to change the name.. I can see all of my songs now in the settings of the phone.. Maybe it's luck only :wink:

Once installed, if you press the Action Button, a Nokia like O2 Navigation Menu will appear.

If you have WM5 then it won't install. Only works for WM6.

It's been tested on two Athenas (with Dopod & HTC ROMs) & one Hermes (with Schaps' ROM) and works flawlessly.
When installed on Treo750 with WM5, it won't install and asked for O2 Connect.

Hi, as i am not a rom cooker i used the o2smsplus - oem files and copied it to my kaiser as instructed in txt file. it doesnt recieve the vcard, though it can send one. i have had this problem with previouse versions too. is there any solution for this, i really love o2sms plus. and want it atleast read incoming vcards.

Try Start -> Settings -> Today -> Items -> O2 Wireless -> Options -> "12 Hours Format"
I just tried to install early, and it asked for the O2 Connect.

1- I have an O2 life running on (WM6_WWE_RC2140907B2), just upgraded yesterday. Strange enough, I don't see this fancy big clock on all WM6 devices, besides it hanged 3 times already.
2- I used to have an O2 stealth, it has a very nice answer machine software, i tried looking it up in the ROM files but I ouldn't. I also downloaded the "Upgrade Utility" from O2 and searched for the .cab file, that also didn't work.
Any ideas ???

I already managed to go back to wm5, as wm6 keep on hanging all the time. So I gave it a go and installed it ... and the results were fantastico ... the device frooze like dead.
Rather than blaming me , why dont u just use a bit of your head and uninstall the program
