Is there any difference between the ROMS which say Beta, for test purposes only and other standart ROMs, and what is it?
My actual question is which version is best to use for my device O2 xda I? Which is the best Pocket PC 2002 edition available (in general, not only from O2) and which PPC 2003 from the kitchens and at which can I find it? Is there going to be PPC 2004 edition?

the main difference with Beta versions is that they usually have some bugs solved in the standard versions ... which they introduce new bugs as well
the best PPC2002 is the SER 3.17 v1.2 ... and the best WM2003 is the T4.01.00
I tried different cooked ROM here for SE. I am just curios... is Active User Interface available in Second Edition?
I haven't seen that in any tested ROM...! or my configuration is wrong?

if u meant the active user from O2 Xda II and its compatibility with WM2003SE u may try extended rom for O2 XDA II Mini in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=76121#76121
or u may use the O2 Xda IIs One in FTP ( ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/O2_Xda_IIs_ASIA.rar )

Now, how will I include the .rar (from IIs) into the installation.
Since I already asked you this, can you also give me an instruction on how to edit/modify the contents/programs included in the ROM.

First of all I wanted to tell you, that I've read through most of the "upgrade to WM6" discussion threads on different "XDA Neo, Qtec S200, etc." boards and I really want to thank you for this gorgeous "how-to-update to WM6" (as well what to do for troubleshooting) guide as well as for the hours of work you spent creating and packing the WM6 version for the S200.
I'm just a standard user who wants to upgrade his XDA Neo to WM6 (following the update instructions). As I do not have the insight on the benefits/drawbacks of different WM6 versions, I would kindly ask you for help:
- What is contained in the different version of WM6, what are the benefits, drawbacks, etc.
- Which is the most stable one and are there features that do not work yet at all under WM6

I understand the reason for your question perfectly, but there is no general answer. There is no official release of WM6 for the Prophet (yet...?) All the ROMs you find here are made by fanatic, obsessed but genius people the like to fool around with there device. The put in, take out functionallity that answers there needs best, or trying to make fame by doing the impossible.
Non of these fearless daredevils is hired by a commercial Vendor that wants a stable big public release.
So if you want to flash, you have to search for a ROM that accidentally meets your wishes.

This is the ROM I was using,works splendid. Its for people who need to roll back,and lets face facts, a ROm by any other name is a ROM, especially when it comes to this Gene WM5 ROM.

I have upgraded my friend Gene in to 6.1
But 6.1 having problem of syncing with Exchange server (security certification blah blaha....).
This problem is with Microsoft itself and no fix yet. This has been discussed in many forums and try to find solution over last week, No luck
Finally I decided to go back to WM5 (WM5 doest have any problem with exchange server) and try to find shipped rom.
THIS IS THE ONLY LINK I HAVE FOUND FOR GENE SHIPPED WM5 ROM

first fix, forgot to cook HTC taskmanager in build 21916, so here is the cab to install, or choose your own taskmanager ( showcase, arkswitch....)
PS : 21916 is the RECOMMENDED build for stability...

I must conratulate you for your work, you have done the french version of your rom the same day I release my rom ( I cooked it because there were no french roms last week when I searched for my office , we have 3 touch dual running wm6.1)
So now I can put my rom or yours has you have released a french version ! lol
( If you had released this last week, I would probably never have cooked the touchdual lol)
What kitchen do you use? Oskitchen or Ervius kitchen?
Have you resolved the 4second caméra bug( don't know how to explain it) I have done this by replacing the camera exe and dll with native one of my rom, but maybe upgrading my radio rom would have been a better idea...
Last question, why is my total amout of usable ram limited to 85,45Mb in my NIKI100, there must be 100,19 written??? what have I done wrong?? ( page pool or file system cache wrong setting? I just know this phone since 1 week, so sorry for tupid questions!)

Thanks, the reason I start cooking in several languages is that I noticed that a lot of people asked if it was possible to make a rom in their own language, so I started with a Spanish rom and that went well, after that it was the 12th of September and the xda server went down, so I ported the whole day every language from the Mega rom into my kitchen (OS Kitchen 1.31) because I was bored to do something else, after that just flashed every rom to do some essential test's.
Not sure why your usable ram is limited, I use LZX compression and set the pagepool on default.
Never had any problems with the camera, only using the language mui from the Mega in my Niki camera pkg.

No problem, gonna download your rom now and give you some feedback.
Filesystem and Pagepool both on Default, the radio I use is 1.65.30.12,, you can find that one in d_trains thread.
And sorry no wifi.

Hi ocman, some small testresults.
I've tested build 23128, if I'm correct you used 2.09 as a base rom, personnally I wouldn't go for thatone just use 2.16 WWE.
About the rom, pretty stable everythings seems to work fine.
Some icon's in the system folder mapped wrong.
No caller id with incoming calls.
There is something wrong with the menu's.
This are 3 small issues, I will send you a pm to solve it.

thank you very much for your investifation, for the base verison, I took 2.09 because its the latest french one I found, but inside of it, I changed everything ( driver and all ) it was an easy way to retrieve some missing 040c mui lol

Edit : Noticed a bug, when you call someone (anyone in your contacts for example "Mike" ) then you call any number, the phone will display "Calling... Mike" A very wired bug. I don't know if you've got it.
