I donated via paypal on Monday 10th Jan the 5 Euros you suggest on your website http://zendrui.free.fr/ so that I could get a copy of Pocket Zenphone but have heard nothing and would now like to know how I can get the software , or indeed if you received the 5 Euros ?
Thanks
I didn't know there was a link between that Web site and this one?
Anyway, that Web site doesn't have much in the way of contact details and there doesn't seem to be any recourse to complain because, to me, it looks like it's a complete fake!
Surely it only required a quick few glances at their Web site to deduce it wasn't a very formal and "official" Web site?
Why did you decide to pay someone money when you had so little information about them?
I prefer to buy software from legitimate and reputable companies, such as Handango.com. Did it ever occur to you that "Don't pay Handango because they take most of the money" is actually another way of saying "Just give me your damn money!"
I think you've been duped.
Sorry.

Agreed, Mr. Guest please check before you slander someone!
Slander someone !! What are you talking about , I was merely asking if he received any money and if so , how I would receive the software
If you think I have been as naive as you say then take alook at this link http://www.tekguru.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4385&highlight=zen
from a very reputable site reviewing the product and directing me there to purchase it
I can plainly see that Zendrui is a respected member , is genuine and has a great product ... never said or implied otherwise ...why would I have tried to buy it if I didn't think so ? I also beg to differ , the site doesn't look obviously fake to me , if that makes me naive then so be it
I'd still like to hear from Zendrui himself if he sees this if possible please
Any unintended slur apologised for , but truly no intention
i don't think iggy's remark was for the first guest, more likely for the second

First of all, allow me to make a compliment: you're a well-behaved crowd, and it's a pleasure hosting this forum. We're only asking you the above because although we feel we can deal with the extra noise generated by anonymous users, we want to know how others feel about it.
I the mean time, we hope everyone is OK with us deleting:
posts where users start swearing at one-another for no apparent reason.
duplicates. Please assume lots of people read almost everything that is posted, so don't post twice. If you're afraid people will miss your post because it's 'only' a reply, then post a new topic (if you must).
'guest' posts which obviously call for others to contact the poster (haven't deleted any of these yet...). If people want to be reacheable, then they should get an account. 'Reply on this forum to get in touch with me' is just too silly.
Warez, serialz, etz...
Almost forgot: we will also delete any posts asking for copies of commercial software or serial numbers, as well as posts from people offering them.
As said in previous discussions: we do not have any major moral objections, but mostly just practical ones: warez trading in forums like this tends to get rather big rather quickly, and often gets in the way of more content-focused discussion.
We recommend news://alt.binaries.warez.pocketpc for all your warez-trading needs.
don't let guests register
I tend to register only after a site has proven it's value.
Guests are not annoying on the premis that there is some form of crowd control which is the case here. I agree about the warez trading but don't think the real risk is in the occasional user/guest trying to save a few bucks. Those can be handled. The real 'risk' for boards like this are the commercial traders, those should be banned fiercly.
Robert
a real requirement
hmmmm, reading back my message
i could use a spellchecker on this board!!!
I reckon registration gives an air of security to posters, but can only go a small way towards keeping out unwelcome posts such as flames and warez.
Wouldn't it be great if all the energy that went in to hacking, blagging and flaming was diverted into constructive use?
Dream on.

Sorry. I reverted to the derogatory usage of the word.

I've twice ended up posting as a guest after I registered because I forgot to enter my username. Though this time it has automatically recognised me, other times it hasn't for some reason.

I have done similar. Mainly due to using so many different computers. Home, work, friends etc. So my suggestion is to make it clearer when you're not logged in.
Perhaps when you write a message just "gently" ask to register before posting. But not insist.
After all for those people intent on destruction, all that they have to do is register each time they come back. A deterent but simple to get around..
About an hour ago I noticed a strange message on my phone which said "helo". (helo with a single 'l').
The only way it seemed to go away, was if I said OK to it or tried the back button. It popped up every few seconds, and it was everywhere, in the browser, in the market, on my homepage, just everywhere..
I suspected its a virus or trojan or just something malicious, and I've been googling ever since, I cant seem to find any information on this 'helo' virus/trojan/whatever.
And Now my phone has freezed. In just one hour, my phone has freezed!!! About an hour ago, when I first saw it, I could use my phone, only the message popped up every few second, but now my phone has Freezed! In just about an hour, whatever this is has cause so much damage?!?
Can anyone please tell me, if this is really a malicious thing, or some software error?
I haven't downloaded anything suspicious, and today espescially I haven't used my phone much..
Phone: LG Optimus One P500.
1) Please use proper english. 2) Do a full wipe of your phone if you can't boot, you'll lose everything, including that program. 3) If your phone is still frozen remove the battery and reboot.
4) I don't suggest anyone give any more information than this. I hate to say it but I've seen things like this before. A new user will sign up for a site, post something like "i've got a virus", get help from the community and then it turns out it's the virus writer using the info on how to combat the virus to make it worse. Being wary is always a good option, and a factory wipe will make sure this program is gone so there's no need for anything else.
Wow! did you just say "use proper english?"
Define proper english.
The flag below your Avatar shows Unites States, I bet, not everyone who lives in the US is a native english speaker. If you can't comprehend what I write, then its your problem.
I hate to say this in a publc forum but you sound like an Idiot!, You couldn't have helped me anyways.
GoodLuck trolling around forums.
Just my 2 cents, but me/me you look more like the idiot here. You have 2 posts, one asking for help (which you got), and one calling somebody an idiot.
Yea im going to support dbzfanatic on this. The way you, me/me, started to criticize and name call, especially with only two posts, was uncalled for. Now back to the original topic. The above stated method should work. You could just try a battery pull, then find the culprit. That may unfreeze your phone, but if not you will have to do a reset and lose data.

Firstly, I wouldn't call that help. Whatever was suggested was someothing anyone would do with or without help. In a technical forum, more helpful suggestions are expected.
My post, if not grammatically correct, was comprehendible. The poster, didn't have to be so condescending. Her/His assumption that any new poster is a virus writer is ridiculous. She/he does come across as an Idiot.
I get it that you want to defend a fellow member, you may, I'm not going to attack you for defending a friend.
Btw, soon after I made my first post, I figured what the problem was, adn I came here to delete my post. I was very surprised to see such arrogance. I believe, a knowleadgeable person had a more humble demeanor.

there a strange rule here, new posters cannot edit their posts soon after posting, we will have to wait for 5 minutes or something. there is a correction i want to make in my previous post *has not had.

I got to know the problem is at the carriers end.
I tried to post teh link, but this site doesn't allow me to post.
I understood exactly what you said, but you're correct that some users aren't native English speakers. Using proper English on a public forum where not everyone speaks the language natively will make things easier for people to translate if they need to. You had one post at the time and thus, you're a n00b, at least on this forum. The first things to tell a n00b are the obvious basic things to try. If you're technologically inclined good, if not then the steps I suggested would have been enough. Calling someone arrogant for being cautions is like saying someone's a chicken for not holding a gun to their head. There is also a standing rule (if you would take the time to read the forum rules) that new users can't post links. You could always have removed the http:// and posted the rest of the URL which would have been allowed. Glad you fixed your problem but even in a technical forum the first suggestions will be the obvious ones unless you specifically post that you have already tried those steps. If you continue to stay on this forum I hope your demeanor changes. As I said I've seen situations like this where the poster was the one writing the malicious program, we don't need that here so precautions are necessary. Lastly, I'm a guy, so no need for the his/her anymore when referring to me somewhere.
I didn't say you are arrogant because you assumed I am a virus writer. I said you are arrogant because of your condescending manner..which reflects in this post too. Clearly, you haven't understood my post.
As for the need for translation, freeze and froze, don't make much of a difference while translating. Any one whose first languare is not english will not have any trouble understanding that one of them is in present tense and the other is in past.
I doub't you really were thinking of some poor non native english speaking soul, when you demanded I speak 'proper english'. What is more important is to be polite and open minded. Good manners! Have you heard this somewhere?
Your fellow members attacked me, when I called you an Idiot. I didn't call you an Idiot because you were being cautious. I called you an Idiot because, your condescending manner coupled with your ridiculous assumptions and you demanding others to offer no further help..comes across as rather Stupid. I don't regret calling you anything.
As for grading the members based on their number of posts, you didn't have to explain that to me at all. I maybe a noob because I have only 1 or 2 posts, but let me tell you, technically I am a noob too. And no, I am not ashamed to say this.
Did your post help me? You gave some basic suggestions, which I can just google. I am a noob and I could do those things without your help. Now you got to figure how helpful you are. In your own words, your knowledge level is more superior simply because your number of posts categorize you as senior member.
It didn't occur to me that I could remove the http// inorder to the link posted here, I am a noob, but if you were smart enough, you would google to find out what it is.
You are male/female or whatever, I couldn't care less.I don't want to refer to you here or anywhere else. Good Bye!

exactly!....
I just went to both the T-Mobile and Sprint forums, just for kicks, to see what they have to choose from. And what do I see, everything I want!!!! I'm so sad, why can't Verizon stop being douche bags and let us unlock our bootloaders!!!! Like htc, they log who had unlocked it so even if we revert to stock they still know we went through the unlocking process.
I saw and signed, the Verizon unlock bootloader petition, but that is just sending a very simple email to Samsung and Verizon, it's not getting in the public eye. What we need to do is create a petition with change . org and maybe challenge the current law that allows then to do this. I mean purchased this phone, it's our phone, we should be the deciders if our phones bootloader is unlocked or not.
I am going to check it out and research and start one. I believe if we hit 100,000 signatures the whitehouse must respond to it and we may win a battle the devs have been fighting for a very long time. I will be back so stay tuned, let's use this thread as a discussion thread, please don't close and lock this thread.
Thanks

Couple of points
I am going to try to sound as friendly as possible, but you know how online works, every thing is taken in a hostile way.
1- we have a thread with the same petition, that no re-reading your post says you have seen and signed it, its also a change.org petition too. Started by a member who I really respect, Brandonrz. We hit a lil over 650 sigs and it has been around for a long time. So not sure how another petition on the same site will generate more sigs.
2- its not your phone, more than half of it is subsidized by verizon. If you want your own phone, buy a DE phone. It comes in unlocked, for the full retail price. Tmobile users pay the full price of the phone, just spread out. Not sure how sprint subsidy works.
3- I really cant speak for mods, but from what I have seen, they don't respond well to " don't lock or close threads" they prefer those statements to be made in private messaging. Again, this is just a friendly advice, I am not a mod, and I cant speak for them.
4- one mod made a point before: XDA is not a petition site, its a development site. She/He was nice enough to let one petition thread stay, not sure if they will react the same in regard to this thread.
all the best .

In response to the quoted portions of the previous post;
#1- This is exactly right, there is an existing petition thread for this same exact issue, please do not duplicate existing threads.
#2- This is also true, however, I fully support the fact that carriers should not be allowed to hide open source software behind proprietary programs by means of a method termed Tivoization.
That being said, the Kernels for android were released under GPLv2, and this issue was not countered by the FSF until the release of GPLv3, effectively tying our hands. A petition might let them know you're angry about it, but they have every right under current law and licensing to laugh at you. And they are.
#4- You're absolutely right, I will not. Creating this second thread for the same purposes of the original serves no purpose and becomes redundant. While I can appreciate the passion displayed by the OP in regards to this matter, this thread is closed as a duplicate. Please be sure to read the Forum Rules in regards to posting.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Ok, I would like to see some proof instead of signing up to some Ponzi scheme.
$5,000,000 USD is a lot of money to spend on a new company so I am leaning towards the aforementioned.
Ok now it seems even more dodgy, you have no proof but your promising $5,000,000 revenue?
Ok..

I can understand you pain brother but why post multiple threads for same thing again and again , what good it can do in here (XDA) btw good luck on getting a refund from flipkart
That's like 2nd post in last 6 hours from you, while your criticism of the product based on your experience may have valid reasons, please be mindful that such posts create negativity that is uncalled for. You have twitter/facebook to reach out to Flipkart and Poco and you will get enough support (if there are others with same issue). Brining them to this forum, and repeatedly is creating nothing but a bad vibe.
Kindly stop responding to this guy. Obviously a troll on a mission.
People have got refund(through FK) for Poco phone and even replacement(through MI). Seems like Flipkart fault here.Just talk to their senior. Since this is second time you are posting with ridiculous headlines, it seems like you are spamming here.Or maybe you are some OnePlus fan.
If you are having issues with Flipkart support.tag them on facebook, google for the email address of CEO of Flipkart, and other high ranking officials and send them an email.
