XDA2 Win2003SE + Sandisk wifi/256MB - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

I was wondering if anyone who owns one of the sandisk wifi and flash combo SD cards have any luck getting it to work with any of the 2003SE versions around? or is it still the same, not being able to use the memory on it?
I've been waiting to buy this for a long time now and waiting for a fix.

ditto!

I have acquired the 256mb sd wifi card and have a M1000. I know its not possible (yet?) to use the 256mb but can someone explain step by step how to get the wifi part working?

SD Card doesn't work

Hi there,
I have an O2 XDA with the Qtek ROM (not the official O2 ROM). I have just bought a HAMA 128 SD Card. In my laptop's SD reader it works fine, but nothing happens in my XDA. In the settings / memory / storage card section in pocket pc 2002 it says NOT INSTALLED. Anyone who has an idea what the problem could be?
Please help me out because I want to install my TOMTOM software
Thanx
Michael
download this SD card tools , and reformat it ON the xda

Thanx for the tip my friend. I have already solved the problem in a different way. My father had an SanDisk 128 MB in his camera, i am now using that one, it works fine, the HAMA SD works fine in his camera also.

Lexar SD-Card 256 MB doesn't work
Hi,
I've just bought a Lexar SD-Card with 256 MB, but my XDA didn't recognize it. It seems that no SD-Card is loaded. In my PC Card-Reader and a Camera it works fine. I also have no problems with a Traveller 128 MB-Card.
Also the StorageTools mentioned before didn't see the Card :-(
What can I do? Is the old XDA (bought 1 year before) not able to work with 256MB?
Thanks for your help ...
Frank
i'm not sure if its the sd cards or the xda itself!
mine sometimes dont recognize New cards unless i reformat them.
but mine also sometimes dont see my SD-CAMERA card!
after repeated re-inserts, it works fine. then stops again.
so im realy not sure What the real issue here.
however... since the cards work fine on a pc
re format them on a pc.... fat16. and try.
i hope someone else out there has the solution for us.
good luck.
Seems that the Brand SanDisk works perfectly. Other brands seem to give troubles sometimes. That's what i have experienced.
Good luck!
Michael

SD card data loss

Hi everyone,
I have a Siemens SX 56 (North American version) running the latest ATT WM 2003 official rom. I have the latest T-mo Radio Stack on it (6.24).
I bought a new Lexar 256 Mb SD card (32x write speed). I saved a whole bunch of mp3'z and stuff on it. The SD card works fine for some time, but then the phone seems to erase all data on it every once in a while! I searched the forums and someone suggested using "storage tools" program and formatting the card with "backup FAT" method.... I have done that too.... It has erased all data on my SD card twice after that as well..... Someone else suggested that you should exit all applications that open on the SD card (or are using the SD card) before you turn it off. I do that too. Even then I have lost all data.
My question is what can I do to correct this? Is the Lexar card the problem? Should I try Sandisk? Sandisk is actually a bit cheaper too..... I can exchange the card for that. Kindly reply quickly and let me know what I can do to fix this issue. Thank you.
Just had it happen to me on my SX56 using WM2003 Beta and a SanDisk 512mb card. Lost everything. Thought it might be the card but now I'm wondering...
Gonna try and replicate the problem.

some time ago I had similar problems with Lexar faulty card, but that seemed to be somewhere explained in that forum that ultimately it has been not card problem but .... wm2003, hehe
I know it sounds strange ..... if I can manage I point you to the right postings .....
regards, monika
ps. I have solved termorarily my problem by simply locking SD card  and then after changing Lexar for Sandisk problems stopped
Bpd, there is a hisory of spontaneous formatting of memory cards ever since WM2003 came out, it wasnt just confined to XDA either, I saw a few posts in other pocket pc forums with the same problem, some people put it down to installed themes.

Use the little white switch on the side of the card to lock it!
Also its been reported that if you label the card after formating it you wouldn't have this problem. Personally I'd do both!
BTW whats the time frame on the erase after you did the upgrade?
HTH
Problem occured same day as upgrade... and now last night again.
Fortunately I made a backup of everything on the SD to my PC and have now just restored it.
I did not "label" the SD this time... just "locked" it.
See what happens this time.

Not sure, but you can try research on the highest capacity a Wizard can take. And, take note of possible scam on high cap unbranded memory cards. E.g. try copying full 4GB contents into the card, just to make sure it is now a scam card.
ok copied up to 3.88 gb of mp3s so its pretty much a 4gb. I stuck the mini sd into a old pda Acer N30 (adapted) and it seems to work fine. Seems like the card is the problem as i have no problems using my old 512mb mini sd. Apparently its a samsung card. Im really stumped.

Finnaly HTC made Old Phones With support of SDHC !!!

How a Magician can support SDHC cards but propeht not????
There is a ROM for Magician which omit SDIO compatibility but get the ability of SDHC cards.

How our prophet couldn't. Maybe one professional can make it for us ready....
I would like you to suggest to test this cab
There are SDHC1,SDHC2,SDHC3 and SDHC4
try it one by one.
If SDHC1 doesnt work, try the next one, etc.
I would like to suggest you to remove the older program first, before installing the new SDHC.cab
I don't have SDHC with me now. But I think SDHC4 will work.
So please try and give some feedback
Wow.. Could this be true?
Can anyone confirm that this works for prophet wm6.1 roms before I run out to buy an SDHC?
I've searched and searched but as far as I know the htc prophet is limited to the 2GB SD card by hardware limitations.. Someone out there claimed to have a 4GB SD card working that was not SDHC.. which is really hard to find
If someone gets this working please let us know what size SDHC card they tested as well.. Thnx
I cannot use it
Unfotunately, it is not working.
When I compaired it with OMAP850 with SDHC support devices it needs two mor dll files which are as below:
fatfsd.dll
diskcache.dell
I could'nt find them anywhere on the net.
SDHC
Mine also not working.

Micro SD Card for creating a goldcard?

Hi All - I tried to make a goldcard for rooting my HTC Hero (Three UK with latest ROM) over the weekend, but had no luck - it seems the memory card I own (an 8gb Kingston card from ebay, so may be a fake) doesn't work.
Can anyone recommend a memory card brand & size that will *definitely* work for creating a goldcard?
Thanks for any help
The 2GB one that is packaged with the phone works fine.

+1. The stock 2GB one is a known good one. Kingston 2GBs also supposedly work, but I can't personally vouch for it (never had to use one in anger- my phone came with HBOOT 004)
my stock sd doesnt work
I know it doesn't address the goldcard issue, but try these updated instructions to flash a custom recovery.

Follow the text instructions mainly - treat the video as a rough reference.
