I understand this sentence as follows:
It is only possible to edit the Ext. ROM, but not the OS-ROM and not the radio stack. I think it should work with the qtek as well...
But maybe you should ask Softworkz directly to get a definite answer, because I do not want to be blamed for ruining your little gemstone. ;-)[/quote]

I know you're in the process of developing the asian customized EXT ROM for WM2003SE. Could you at least add the followings too:
a) asian telcos
b) Running Program
c) WMP 10
d) any BT v1.2 stack or WIDCOMM BT stack if they're better than the WM2003SE version
e) IntelliPad and IntelliDialer
f) TrueFax from KSE

I am currently uploading the new ROM now. I'm afraid that I could not load all the requested software you guys are requesting, the Asian telco settings take up a lot of space, and so do the new versions of the stock extended ROM software. I have however included Intellipad and Intellidialer.

Does anyone know how to upgrade the bootloader on an xda2. Have a number of units with old roms (1.02) which we want to upgrade to 1.72 rom image. The rom updates but not the bootloader. Problem is the unit i use to build the rom images i use is a 1.02 bootloader and a desperatly need to upgrade this.

I have bootlooader v1.01 and I had these opsystems on my device with no problem:
v1.3 ger - o2
v1.6021 wwe - qtek
v1.6036 wwe - t-mobile
v1.66130 wwe - qtek
v1.72126 wwe - imate
v1.72187 wwe - o2
v2.0600 wwe - o2
and now win2005 mobile
so why would / want to upgrade?
afaik higher the bl version harder to downgrade / play around (correct me if I am wrong)

Thanks for the reply, its not the splash screen but the bootloader version i need to change and be able to upgrade at will.
how would i go about downgrading back to the origional PL ERA rom? i have upgraded to the wm6 black edition and the keyboard is messed up. is it at all possible to downgrade back to wm5?

i'm trying to change the language. i have a wwe hp ipaq rw6815, that off course is english (world wide english). i want to change it to the dutch rom. but, when i try to flash the hp rom update (the nld rom), i get a message telling me that the rom is not correct (needing off course a wwe rom). is there a patched hpRUU.exe floating around which lets me update to a nld (dutch) rom? maybe it is in one of the cooked roms? if so, please point me to the direction. i found a link for the patched file i need, but the rapidshare link is not valid anymore...
another question, i've got bootloader 1.05. i keep reading that i need to downgrade, is there a pressing need to do so? or to put it differently, should i now downgrade to 1.01 to overcome any future problems if flashing goes wrong in the future? wlan is working by the way in my current original hp wm5rom (wwe) with bl 1.05
