I have done everything 1.) uninstalled and reinstalled ASsync3.8
2) repaired and reinstalled Outlook 2002
3.) deleted Mapi32 files etc.
Yet it still syncs everyting APART fomr emails??
Under options in AS, I cannot check "emails'??
I have spent 4hours on this, scanned the web, and still stuck...

OK, problem came from extended rom
I hard resest and it synced fine, now to find out what did it...
Did you used the Sin Merged by any chance? I had numerous problems - including your missing inbox checkbox - before I changed the restore settings on the extROM. If it's another version, I haven't a clue.

The bug is in the Ext rom somewhere
I did a hard reset and it did not come back, but it is back on another XDA2 (wife's). A real bug.

WM2003SE has been working great for me - first tried the initial Mysteryman release then went on to the SIN merged install pack and was very pleased but I now have a fatal (in my use) problem with e-mail attachments. All e-mails with attachments are missing from the pocket pc and are listed as unresolved items. I have reinstalled outlook and activesync 3.8- hard reset pocket pc - rolled back from SIN to Mysteryman twice with sprite backup restoration and I am at my wits end. The attachments are selected to download and even if not, there is no paperclip, no half envelope - NO envelope. PLEASE - any suggestions as it is a paperweight without the attachments.
Found My Own Answer
I resolved the missing attachments by flashing the ROM back to Mysteryman through the PC then Re-Installing SIN Merged **BUT** I unselected the E-mail restore tab and attachments under the windows tab in Sprite Backup. Haven't a clue why this would happen but found the same solution for a colleagues pocket pc. What I'm most confused about is that nobody else ahs had this problem and if you do I hope this solution helps. :wink:

Sadly I think O2 and the other PPC Phone makers have the idea that only the people who are thinking of buying the device are customers (and that's what advertising is for). Once you've bought it they've got their money and are ready to sell you the newer model or a bigger contract. At least that's my 2 cents :wink:

There is NO NEED to backflash to any other ROM. Simply backup first, do a hard-reset, when Sprite Backup screen appear unselect "E-mail" and restore other SW. Seems that backup e-mail part from excelent SIN's packages on some instalations interfere with current settings and XDA and emails with attachments can't be resolved. On my system this is the case with both SIN's packages.

I have successfully upgraded to wm6. Or so I thought.
A pushserviceerror appears while starting the device. Thats no biggy, but I cant add any outlook contacts, nor can I sync them with my ones on the my vaio.
I used Charmer_Touch_GER_Beta_2.8 to upgrade.
Everything else is working fine.
Can anyone please help me?

If you have a working window, just go to Setting->System->Clear Storage
push camera & voice button and soft reset button togehter...
after hard resetting, don't interrupt the following automatic setup of the phone...
( if you do, the porblem with the outlook contact liste will still be there... )

I got a problem when synching to my computer. I install activesynch 4.5 on windows XP and then i connect my usb wire to my pc to my MDA vario 4.
Problem is, the phone gets recognized by my pc and I can open the folders. But I am logged in the active sync as guest. I googled for this problem, but everywhere it says I should get a wizard when I connect to the sync program for the first time, but with me it does not :S.
I have tried reinstalling, but no success either.
Can someone assist me with this matter? I would really like to try a new ROM

Are you sure u don't get the wizard?? Sometimes you have to Ctrl+Esc so it can pop up back to the front

Every time I have had issues with Active sync, I would just go download it again reinstall it, I wouldn't even bother uninstalling it and it would always mysteriously work...

Did you try to configure active sync on you phone?!
One time it didn't want to sync yet, then i did a hard reset and all works like a charm... Maybe you installed smething bad like i did...
You can create a backup with Sprite Backup http://www.htc.com/fr/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=133&cat=3&dl_id=19
It creates a backup of everything you want, even settings and messages and make an executable that you can launch after hard resetting

I have strange problem with my phone - I'm unable to log in to YouTube, MyPhone and MarketPlace. Hard reset was not solving the issue, so I've downloaded new Vodafone UK rom from HTC site. My old one was 1.72, new one is 3.14. With YT it just goes back to log screen, Market and Myphone are giving me "unable to connect" or "download was unsuccessful" message. My internet connection works fine, I can browse sites and even watch movies via build in YT aplication. Tried multiple resets and still the same?
Right, bit more info what I've done. maybe that will throw some light on possible cause of my problem.
I've installed my mobiler and connected phone via Activesync
1st mistake - I did not read what it actually says on screen and unticked all positions on program list (thought this is the list of software that will be installed on my phone)
As you can imagine Activesync started removing all programs from my phone.
2nd mistake - trying to save my phone I quickly disconnected cable.
Some software had been already deleted, including sms patch
then I decided to restore my phone to earlier state using SPB backup
when fnished, I found out, than Sense wouldn't start
So, i decided to do hard reset
after this step I found out, that I was now unable to log into youtube, myphone and marketplace. i can access them from PC level, so I have not forgotten my passwords. Also I can browse internet fine, so it's not my network operator.
Question: is it possible, that SPB somehow damaged rom files?
Thinking that this may be the case I've decided to download fresh rom from HTC site. But after install issue remains

today I needed to turn off my phone to swap battery. On turning it back on, my Google account wasn't there anymore, a notification said "due to changes to your account you have to sign in again". But signing it just won't do it. It doesn't fail, I come to the accepting terms and conditions, but when accepting the app just closes, the account isn't created so it seems that whatever app is responsible for that just crashes for no reason without any notification. The strange things: in the process I can see only the arrow in the bottom right, not the words "next" or "accept" (at the last page), only when I tap on them I can see them. And I had no accounts.db under /data/system/users/0. Now I have that file via TB restore. And I now see, after reflashing my ROM (by wiping /system, cache and dalvik-cache in TWRP and flashing the ROM) that I also have under /data a system_ce (with accounts_ce.db) and system_de (with accounts_de.db and accounts_de.db-journal), but I don't know if I had them before the TB restore or the ROM reflashing (having english (US) and german (germany) as system languages).
No solution form anywhere else was helpful. I froze AdAway with TB, deleted /system/etc/hosts, deleted data from PlayStore and PlayServices with multiple reboots and the mentioned reflashing, nothing seems to help.
I'm running Emotion ROM based on CM 14.1 on my Note 4 N910F with latest modem and bootloader I can find. Since I don't know how far that could be ROM or CM related, I'm posting that problem here. I have absolutely no problems logging in with my account on my desktop PC via browser, even logging in on google.com from chrome on the phone is no problem. But filling in the infomation either initiated over system settings -> accounts or by opening PlayStore, I pass everything but the account is not under the accounts section and PlayStore would just open again with the login page.
Anyone any idea how to fix it? Here is a logfile of me trying to log in.
UPDATE: Just did a TWRP restore. Did not help! Going to ask Google meanwhile since it might not be a problem with my device...at least if I can find out where to do so.
PS: just looked into my account settings, it seems to recognize that I log in to my device, but that's it. Disconnectiong the device from there and trying again also doesn't work.
