My Wallby hang at "Align Screen"? - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

I am new to Xda. I wan given a Wallaby when visiting UK. After returnning to HongKong, I managed to have the SID Code unlocked, so that I can use Sims in HongKong. It has worked well until today when I rebooted it. The Wallaby came back on, but hanged at the "Align Scren". The + moved to the next location when tapped, but it could not go to the next stage of the reboot.
Please can anyone tell me what went wrong, and the way/s to remedy!!!
Thanks.

I would try a hard reset first, push once in the hole by the headphone socket, leave for one minute then push once more. If the hard reset doesnt work I would reflash the device with a new rom using the sd card method.

XDA 2 Freezing on Boot Screen...Please Help

I have no idea what's going on with my XDA II. I have not done anything to modify or upgrade it recently. But suddenly the phone froze one day. I tried doing a soft reset but the phone just shut off. Kept pushing power button but nothing worked.
I then tried a hard reset which didn't work either. I finally just removed the battery and the sim card and then replaced them. My phone finally booted up and went through the standard hard reset sequence. I restored my backup information into the phone. Later on it froze again...with the same problem.
I finally got my phone working, but it freezes almost everytime I try to do something. When i do a reset, whether hard or soft, I get stuck at the boot screen with nothing happening. I reset it about 8 or 9 times before i get back into the phone and go through the intro to WM2003 again.
When i do get in, i can maybe make a call or two before the phone freezes up again. Don't know what to do, but really confused. I was going to contact o2 because the phone is still under warranty. However, I have upgraded to the TMobile 1.6 rom.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this please let me know. If not, does anyone have the original o2 rom that I could get a hold of? Thanks for all the help in advanced.
Does the phone freeze after you restore backup or does it do it even when you use it from scratch after hard reset?
It freezes no matter what. Most of the time, it'll refuse a hard reset. I would reset it, hard reset it and the phone will just load up on the Tmobile screen and stay there. Sometimes i'll get that circle thing that shows the phone is doing a process...but it'll go in circles forever.
Sometime down the line it'll actually let me through. Then i'd do the whole WM2003 intro again.
So to answer that question, it's not only on my restore, the phone consistently freezes up.
Looks like it's time to avail of the warranty and have your phone replaced.
I know, but in order to do that I have to get the original rom because i'm on tmobile 1.6 rom.
Mate, did you try to reinstall the 1.6 rom? Maybe download the latest ROM version and try to install it from your dead device...
My phone is just freezing on the boot screen and sometimes i can actually get in and use the phone for a while. Does this still constitute it as dead?
Since I can't get past the boot screen most of the time, I can't connect the phone to the computer to install the 1.6 rom again.
However, I did get past the boot screen once and did manage to sync it with my computer and reinstall the 1.6 rom. No help...same problem...
Ok, i finally got in and managed to update the rom to the new O2 rom. Everything was working fine for a long time. I used the phone and no problems. I left the phone on the sync cradele over night and by morning the phone was frozen. Reset and getting stuck at boot again...
ANyone have any ideas?
i also get this problem.
I have found many ppl got this problem, but no one has solution.
so what is everyone doing about it?

Please help to un-brick my bell Touch PRO

Hi All,
Thank you xda forum, I was searching and learning from you and ppcgeeks all these two days.
My Touch Pro (Bell Mobility) now is always in reboot loop, it only shows white "Touch PRO" in the 1st screen. After around 30 - 40 seconds, reboot again. Neven been rebooted sucessfully.
Here are what I did:
1. originally it should be SPL-0.35 or -0.25 somthing like that, after use Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037 unlock , well done, it shows 0.37-comex (thanks this forum and authors)
2. use PC to flash a chinese version ROM, says sucessfully 100% done.
BUT after that it was going to reboot loop (what i guess is it's a GSM version only?)
3. I want to make it back to original, so I use that Raphael_CDMA_Relocker (BEFORE I REALIZED should flash BELL Stock rom first).
4. in tri-cololr screen, now it says RAPH800 SPL-0.37-0000 (relocked already?)
5. I could not flash anything in anymore, ActiveSync conection could not been connnected, and RUU always said 262 error and when reboot 100% goes to reboot loop, have to take out of the battery to close it.
Anyone have suggestion how should I do? I am still in the 1st month warranty, but afraid Bell will not accept it.
I tried hardset, use Raphael_CDMA_HSPL_037 to lock it again (failed due 262 problem, stucked on 0% screen), or put different RAPHIMG.nbh (tried one by one) to SD card (always only "loading", and after long time i have to reboot it and still the same infinite loop).
Thanks for you patience, please ignore my bad english.
unbrick
i suggest if you havent already done so: to put .nbh image on your sd card and boot it.
I agree. the only thing at this point you can do is flash from the SD card.
Take it out of your phone, and plug it into your computer. Take the .nbh file from another ROM that has worked for you and rename it RAPHIMG.nbh . Then copy that onto the Root of your SD card. put the card back into your phone, and enter bootloader by holding the power button, and volume down button, take your stylus and reset. (Don't need to hold the center okay button like a hard reset) take the stylus out and follow the instructions.
on my experience download a shipped ROM of any kind. If you still see SPL 0.37.CMONEX i think you are still safe. Just plug it in, active sync will not recognize it since it is in a different operating mode, just execute the shipped rom and that should do the trick.
unforunatly theres no bell shipped, just bell dumped roms..but put it in bootloader (hold volume down, poer, then stylus in reset hole till tri-colour screen) and plug it into your computer. does the word 'serial' change to 'usb' at the bottom? if so, run the RUU for the bell stock rom. feel free to pm me, im on bell too and im sure we can sort you out mate. lemme know if you cant find the stock bell rom

I have never seen this on Hermes...HELP!

Hi guys. I've been here for while and over the years i flashed my hermes with various cooked and original roms over and over again. However, today i tried to flash it with the josh Manila2D_Black_V14_WWE rom to see if i could let go my iphone 3g and get back to my good old htc. Here's the thing: USB=Plugged, ActiveSync Ok, HardSSPL, Unlock Sim, the works... When i clicked RUUWrapper.exe all the process turns out good and then, puff! My screen turns black, the Led doesnt work, cant get it reset or hard reset, pulled out the battery and back in, nothing! then i took the USB PC cable and put it on wall charger. The led shows RED, the screen is dead, nothing happens. It stood there for a while, then i tried to hard reset. Went to bootloader, "Press R", "Then Space" "ok", PUFF! nothing happens. Cant get it sync with my pc, wont boot with hard reset, screen's BLACK, now the led stays GREEN all the time when i replace the battery...Can anybody help me out?! If theres a sollution im sure i'll find it here. Thanks in advance!!!
If you have Hard SPL V3 on the hermes, try to go to bootloader, Hold power, OK button and reset with stylus. Hold in all buttons until you get to tri-colour screen.
If you can get to bootloader then use the sd method to flash a different rom.
1. Format an sd card to FAT32, copy the .nbh file onto the sd card and rename to hermimg.nbh.
2. Put sd card into hermes and reset to bootloader.
3. Follow instructions.
cheers...
Still nothing...
Thanks for the reply Ultra Well i tried the Power+Ok+reset but nothing happens, the god damn green LED just stays on forever. However i can get to boot with power+the 2 quick buttons from the windows and ok. Can i get access to the SD Card from here? Havent been updated for quite a while, any particular rom you may suggest? Looking for stability, speed and cool home screen... I really apreciated your answer man, thanks
Finally the Cure!!!
It is only fitted that i respond here the cure i´ve found once again in XDA-Dev.com for another serious mind blowing problem with a Herm200. After days and hours spent reading the forum, testing some possibilities, finally the solution. Well it appears that with a SPL 2.30, that doesn´t bootloads by itself or with a SD Card; does NOT recharge the battery, no RED Led whatsoever... the simple official ROM solves the case. I entered Boot Load Mode with side ok+power and stylus reset, appearing USB Mode when i connected it to my PC, NOT showing the connection in ActiveSync, however the USB blip did in the PC. So i knew it was connected, plus the "USB" written in the Hermes. I´ve tested with almost every ROM available in the XDA-Dev, ran to 1% then, crashed. Then i managed to dowload the Official Windows Mobile 6.0 from DOPOD WWE. Fortunatly, it passed 1% to 100%, reviving my good old HTC Hermes. Hope this information helps for anyone with a similar problem.
Cheers!

[Q] Completely unresponsive touchscreen

Please help me, I played around with BBs yesterday and lost radio, so installed a stock FW with FlashTool, and got radio back again, but on some 4x BB.. Wanted the new 58 BB, and found out that a .. ..0.16 FW would give me that, so installed the polish one (found no other), and after that no response when touching the screen!
xRecovery is of course gone after "stocking" (also rooting?), but I have tried a number of FWs for FlashTool, and even FW directly from S-E using Update Service, but still my phone is next to bricked.. I am n00b and could very well have done something wrong unknowingly, and/or overlooked something, but what might that be, and what are my options?
Sounds like corrupted FW. Not a big deal cause without a cracked Bootloader, you realy can't screw the phone up.
Turn phone completely off.
Pop Battery - SIM card - Micro-SD card out.
Let it sit for a few minutes.
While your letting it sit, take your Micro SD card and Format it using your PC.
"not saying this is your issue but I have had the phone lock up and appear to be unresponsive due to a corrupt file on the SD Card and it fails to mount and gets stuck." If you have any files you want to save, copy them to your PC Hard Drive.
Reinsert your SD Card - Sim Card.
Plug your USB cord into your phone " LEAVE THE BATTERY OUT "
Start up SEUS " Sony Erricson Update Service ".
While holding the back button, reinsert the battery.
Follow the instructions and restore the phone to factory settings.
I hope this works for you as this should elliminate any problems that could have or would be occuring prior. If it doesn't, shoot me a mail and I will get with you on messenger for trouble shooting.
_-_- Press Thanks if its useful-_-_
Nope, didn't do it, touched the thanks-bottom anyway, because on my PC I can...
PM'ed xKrisx, but everybody are welcome with suggestions as I'm completely lost without my phone!
Edit while waiting, hoping:
Followed instructions above several times now, except

no such option, wouldn't that be S-E-Android 1.6 ? In fact I see no other options in SEUS than accepting (or not) uneditable choices towards an update -and done-, so I suppose that's what was meant(?)!
Have tried a number of slight variations including SEUS update without sim and SD at all (was actually allowed that), but most noticeable difference was that first boot pre-choose English instead of Danish (my language), and still no response from touch screen, so can't select anything at all!
My phone shows evidence of "moderate physical pressure" (bought second hand with one corner missing), so I can't totally reject the possibility of a sudden HW digitizer breakdown though I think that would more likely have occurred while phone in use than while sitting on my mouse-pad.. No matter what, I would really like to exclude any SW related errors before moving to torx-driver surgery! Plz help guys!
Hi seek4
Did you ever find a solution for your touchscreen?

[Q] Self-bricked phone?

My RAZR MAXX has been working just fine, even after travel to Germany (connected to Vodaphone just fine). I have the phone in the Bahamas and it has a Batelco SIM in it. It handled voice calls as expected. Yesterday, I bought a data access package as my original package had expire. Installing the package required having a Batelco rep enter the needed APN data. After that, the phone worked well for 24+ hours with the data and voice networks. The wheels fell off when I powered down the phone.
On powering the phone back up, it does the opening red Motorola logo, the opening animatation with full audio, and then goes into the "dancing sparks" animation. And that's where it stays. It's been running in this mode for over 30 minutes since I last tried to power the phone down to pull the SIM and SD card ([/shug] might as well try that). Actually, at this point, the phone seems to be reluctant to power down (holding the upper button down may or may not lead to powering down and even if that happens, the phone just starts to reboot instead of staying dark). Soft reset only stops the "sparky" animation and then the phone reverts to the "M" logo and animation again and again and again and...
The OS is an OTA Jelly Bean supplied by Verizon (can read the detail rev numbers of course). The only recent changes I can point to are some pushed app updates (Firefox, Facebook, and I forget the third) and the entry of the Batelco APN.
So the question is this: is there any way to give the phone a good swift kick to break this cycle. If not, how do I get the OEM ROM for this thing?
Please keep in mind that I'm in the Bahamas, where surface mail can take 4-5 weeks to arrive. Plan B is to have stuff air freighted in (costs are astonomical and Bahamian customs may want a piece of the action). Bottom line: external hardware is almost impossible here.
In doing more reading on the problem, I found out about getting into the boot menu (power down, hold power, vol up, and vol down). I can get to the menu. I selected recovery and... nada. After a while the phone just boots yet again. Either I don't know how to enforce the recovery choice or the phone is really boogered. BTW, the phone does accept charging. That is, it was dead (blank screen) after looping overnight. Plug in the charger and back to looping, which continues with the charger not plugged in.
Nevermind - I got to recover mode. Helps to read the instructions fully...
You can try using this: http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/t...ndows-mac-linux-all-in-one/page-9#entry251858
But that would delete all your apps and stuff. but it also might fix your problem.
The fun just won't stop. I wiped the cache and rebooted. No change. I went for the full FDR and rebooted. No change. This is one sick puppy...

Went there, tried that, and couldn't down load the file to successfully. I tried two mirrors and nothing (7zip said "not archives"). I also tried the file from RootJunk's download page (I'd post the URL but it's being blocked while I'm a noob).
That tanked, too.
I keep seeing references to an ADB Motorola JB ROM but can't seem to find it via Google. The idea is to just stuff the proper ROM in and get on with it. since all the user data was smoked in trying to reset the phone, losing user data is the least of my concerns.
Suggestions on this avenue of approach?

Thanks - I'll check it out. I finally(!!!) successfully downloaded DROID_RAZR_Utility_Jellybean_XT912_WinMacLin from RootJunky and will be trying it ASAP.
Great! Tell me how it goes?

So far, it goes down the tubes. I successfully expanded the file onto the admin desktop. The next step is to get the correct ADB drivers installed. That tanks with an error message, from the installer, about a network failure to read the .msi file with the updates. Network failure??? The file's on the machine and I'm in admin, not user, space. ARGHHH!!!
Try getting the Drivers from here: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/88481

I got past the driver problem by using the installer to remove the existing drivers (no clues as to their rev. number but they went away) and then install the new drivers. I've actually gotten to the point reloading the phone but... now the darn thing says I have no SIM installed. In fact I have two, a Batelco SIM and a VZW SIM. I tried both and all the darn phone says is "I can find no SIM". In fact, I used the Batelcom SIM in a RAZR flip phone to verify all is well with the SIM. And it is. But the RAZR MAXX won't see it. GNGHHH!!!

The driver issue was fixed by removing the existing driver (no idea which rev. was present in the PC but it went away as it should) and installing the new driver. Why the network message showed up is unclear but it didn't happen after removing the existing driver.
DROID_RAZR_Utility_Jellybean_XT912_WinMacLin took two tries to run properly but it did run. The boot loop is stopped at last. But...
Now the phone reports it can't find the SIM. I have two SIM's - a VZW SIM (worked in the US and Germany) and a Batelco SIM. The Batelco SIM worked prior to the failure and it still works in a RAZR flip phone.
The boot process runs as expected and ends in the starting screen for the setup process. At this point the battery and signal (none - of course) icons show up. A couple of seconds later, the SIM icon shows up with a slashed red circle on it. Advancing to the next screen gives a "SIM not found" and the only option is to power down.
Popping the SIM out and in does nothing. Trying to boot to safe mode does nothing. ARGHHH!!!
Try going into recovery and factory reset.
Or I could try taking my head out of my a**. The SIM was in the wrong side up. Something I cleverly repeated over and over. [/ rolled eyes]
At this point I'm back to what appears to be a factory original RAZR MAXX with JB.
Great thanks for all the help on this project!!
Good to hear!
At the moment I'm using EasyTether to connect with the interwebs and post this note. Case closed, I'd say. )
