I have had the upgrade to:
ROM version: 2.06.00WWE
ROM date: 06/14/04
ExtROM version: 2.06.100a
But the camera does not turn on from the icon nor from the button. This message appear:" Camera is not a valid Pocket PC application".
What should I do? Thanks.

I'd try re-installing the camera application.
I've attached version 2.5 - which works fine on my device.

I just tried re-installing my camera to see if that file was in use on mine and it wasn't.
What I usually do if I get an installer giving me problems like this, is open the file browser and find the file in question and rename it to something else.
That way the installer can put its own version of that file into windows without a conflict.
So try renaming the file to mp4spvd.dll.bak for instance, then see if the cab will install.
You'll have to use a program other than 'file explorer' as dll fikes are usually hidden in there. Explore from ActiveSync can accomplish this!

Disconnect Activesyn
restart ur XDA, try to install again, no need to rename

hi guys,
i installed My Clock from these guys

thing is, it was not really that good, now whenever i try and uninistall it , i get error "Myclock.dll is running". I have even done a reset and tried it and its the same message.
I am using My Calender, i have disabled that to try and uninstall My Clock, but its the same error.
any tips?

Use File Explorer to rename Myclock.dll to Myclock.old and run add/remove again.
BTW Myclock.dll is located in your \Windows root folder.

i also tried the new "My phone profile 3", i want to install it and i get error "myprofiles.dll" is in use or read only.
what is up with this developer ?... or is this normal ?

Try goto Start, Settings, Today, Items and un-check it then do a soft reset. If that fails then just rename!

if you rename a file, or whatever file - once it gets uninstalled .... does that file get deleted ?
if not, then why not just delete it instead of renaming it?

Its in use so you can't delete it hence the rename then you can. Give it a try and you'll see what I mean!
Perhaps this file is launching from your /Windows/Startup folder, hence it's always running when you startup. Try removing the file?

I've got an XDAII and I want to be able to see / edit the extended rom...
I've found the cab files I need (elsewhere in this forum) but I have no idea whatsoever how to use them?!?!
I can't run them, so there must be either an app I need or somewhere I need to put them, right?

Have you transfeered the cab file to your phone and executed from there?
It's a cab file. You put it on the XDA II in a folder of your choice, then run it, after reboot you will find a new icon in Programs. The rest is simple. :wink:

I just got it working...
After I downloaded the .cab, as I have WinRar I thought that it was something that needed extracting and it didn't!

is it the latest caller id .cab???? and i got a prob with the installation...
it won't install to my xdaII
my phone would ask

This worked for me, try this....
delete all the picture assignments you made on the photo contacts prog. I have only 5-10 pics, so i just unassigned them.

delete these files by doing active sync, explore your pda and go to windows\ and delete the files if some of them are giving you an error saying file in use or something then try renaming them, without giving any extension, example rename IACIDSync.dll to crap (i did that) and restart your ppc and then delete the renamed files and then install the CALLER_ID_WWE_RC10.CAB

I searched and couldn't find anything. Stock ROM, new Touch Pro. When I try to install it, the progress bar gets all the way to the end then I get this

I closed everything, turned off TF3D, and am around 50% of my RAM used. Still no dice. Any advice?

rename mscoree.dll under windows\ to mscoree.dll.txt
and then reinstall NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab

What will that do?
I've done it twice and it works
Not sure what it does, but I was able to reinstall Net Compact Framework. I forgot where I saw that.

I Have looked high and low for 'mscoree.dll' file. I looked all through windows using file explorer (with SHOW ALL FILES ticked). I've looked in my reged. Closest I can find is in windows called 'coredll.dll0409.mui'. I'm using CDMA stock ROM 1.93 WM6.1. I have not tried netcf install yet, id that why no file?
I know this an old thread, but...

I'm running the stock ROM, albeit the dumped version, but the mscoree.dll file is indeed there from the factory. I didn't have any issues with the install myself. Just ran the MSI file (while synced) located here.

It adds another file called mscoree3_5.dll.

Thank you a lot! Using ROMExtractor, I have another "shellres.192.dll" on my
storage card!
But another question:My purpose is to use ResourceHacker to chang BMP for
waiting cursor which is hidden in "shellres.192.dll". But when I Extract
"shellres.192.dll" from \windows\ to \Storage Card\, then I just copy it back to
windows,(didn't do anything else),I find the "Setting" panel has been
changed,the three sub-panels: Personal,system,connections, missed!

rather than just copy it back into windows, make the file into a cab that installs it to windows. just copying files over rom files doesn't usually work.

Thanks for the instruction! I use WinCE CAB Manager3.0 to make a cab named VagrantMan Wait Cursor.cab.
It shows the same result: the Wait Cursor works well, but I find the "Setting" panel has been
changed,the three sub-panels: Personal,system,connections, missed!
Are you kind enough to check my cab? Is there anything wrong?
