WM2003 to WM2003SE - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development
how can i upgrade my xda II which is WM2003 to WM2003SE????

Following are few DETAILED STEPS FOR NEWBIES to install WINDOWS MOBILE 2003 SECOND EDITION.
1. Download Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition (DCS)
Run the .exe file and you are done and upgraded to wm2003se with builtin Radio Version 1.14.00
Download Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition (Mysterman's Edition)
Run the .exe file and the upgrade process starts, sit back and wait till you get the "Congratulations" Screen.
(NOTE : Mysterman's wm2003se has its own radio file which is v1.14.00)
Some of you would like to upgrade to Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition (Mysterman Edition) but would like to use a Radio Version of Mamaich (v1.18.00) here are the steps :
1. Download Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition (Mysterman Edition)
Download 1.18.00 Radio Version by Mamaich
Create a new folder on your desktop and then right click on your .exe file of wm2003se(mysterman edition) and then click on winzip and then click on extract to and then extract the file to that new folder located on desktop.
Open that folder there you will find HimaClearJumpCode,HimaGetDeviceData,HimaUpgradeUt,ms_.nbf,nk.nbf & radio_.nbf.
Delete or cut radio_.nbf from that folder to some other folder and then extract radio_.nbf from Mamaich's 1.18.00 Radio Version.
Hit refresh in that folder and then double click HimaUpgradeUt.exe and the upgrade process starts, sit back and wait till you get the "Congratulations" Screen.
You are done with the installation of wm2003se(Mysterman Edition)with Radio v1.18.00 (Mamaich Edition)

Download the O2 ROM update file and decompress it in a folder using Winrar. Copy the attached files in the folder containing the O2 files (some files will be overwritten) and run "convert_t2.bat" to convert the files. To update your unit, launch HimaUpgradeUt.exe : no more country_ID error Don't forget to hard reset your unit after the update! JT

wm2005 download sry people, I own the freewebs doglover7337 site that had the wm2005 rar file. I am having problems with not putting any links on to my site that sends you back to the freewebs’ main page (because it is a free website if it isn’t already blatently obious). I have also found the nonpatched files on the forums ftp site, inorder to access the ftp site you need to enter the unser and password that are both xda, to enter that you put it before the ftp site name seperated by an @, or you can just click on this link ftp://xda:[email protected]/Himalaya2005/ sry about that!
u only have the nk.nbf , where is the radia.nbf and there was a third file . ??????
i'm looking for an updated radio file as well. and my second question: what is that "patch1.exe" file for? i thougt the nk.nbf is already patched?
btw: i can't upgrad at all i start the upgrade file and then it starts checking the ppc. this takes 2-3min and the it wants to start the upgrade process. but after some 2 min more the process is cancelled, asking me to reset the ppc and to try again. but guess what? that doesn't help at all any ideas?
empty file guys i just downloaded the nk.nbf file 2005.. and i opened it with the ER edit 2003..and i found out that there is no boot image.. there is no .CAB files.. nothing at all.. what is it then?? tnx!

dear jojo, I have been following this thread for quite some time. I already have WM2003SE working on my O2 XDA II which I did using Dr Stein's ROM upgrade method. I want to use yr extendedROM using the third method. I have down loaded the extracted jojoVer3.2zS for this. I want to know whether the original programms exinsting on my O2 XDA II e.g. contacts, Album, Excel, Word etc shall be deleted if I follow the instructions given by you mentioned as follows:- For those who already been using WM2003SE 2.06.00WWE and Radio ROM 1.18.00: 1. Download the Extracted XdA2JoJo.v3.2zS 2. Extract the Content to your PC 3. Unhide and Unlock the Extended_ROM in you PPC to Unhide -> Start->Programs->ExtROM Tools->ExtROM Unhide to Unlock -> Start->Programs->ExtROM Tools->ExtROM Unlock 4. Make a soft Reset 5. Delete all files in Extended_ROM Folder of your PPC or your cab files shall be added to the existing content? :?: :?: Thanx in advance

can i delete ExtROM folder after installation or must it always be on my sdcard for wm 2005 / 2006 ? (i am still decidi9ng whether to upgrade to 2005 or 2006 ...

so this folder is only scanned/run when a hard reset is done ? is this why my extrom version is blank ? so if i delete this folder off my sd card . i will get my extrom version back in my device info field ?

Hi guys, i try to download italian rom wm6.5 but the file on rapid share was deleted, i donwloaded other file in random mode but the upgrade dosen`t working. I downloaded eng rom and i have on my memory card customruu.exe file and file.nbh, i used the guide but when i load exe file my phone tell me customruu isn`t an application valid for poket pc i have windows mobile 6.1 so tell me someting please where find italian rom wm6.5 and the correct procedure
