successfull upgrading XDAII to WS2003se, works good.... but i've lost the transcriber. It dosn`t work. It install nearly successfull with the message like "diplay or resolution problem, software may not work" There is a message "couldn't find the transcriber DLL" and no options in transcriber optionsd are available..
I've tryed Transcriber 1.5 and 1.51 in eng and ger from the Microsoft site..
Can anybody help? or someone with the same problem?
oh.. i like transcriber in german..

I'm Luca from Italy, and I'm writing here hoping that You can help me to recover my dead PPC.
My PPC, when living, had Windows Mobile 5 like O.S.
So, As i've some problems with the phone I've decided to downgrade the radio version from 1.17 (people say that it is buggy) to 1.08.
So i run the HimaUpgradeUt_noID (I've also HimaUpgradeUt), but i've forgotten to delete the NK.nbf file from the directory.
I put the PPC in bootloader mode (SERIAL on top and ver. 1.06 on bottom) and then to the cradle directly to the motherboard USB connector
The sofware begin to update upgrading even ROM CE file, but when it arrived at 31% himaUpgrade stopped its work, showing that I need to reset (only normal reset and not soft reset) the PPC From this time until now my PPC show always and only the bootloader view.
When I try to upgrade again, the himalaya soft don't show what my PPC has like rom or radio version. It shows only the Ce rom and Radio that I'm going to ugrade.
It seems that software isn't able to erase ROM IMAGE
Active sync can't identify the device (some time it is indentified as unknown device).
When i start the software for ugrade the Active sync tray icon disappear.
I'm only able to ugrade radio stack or ExtRom.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, HELP ME.
P.S. The device is unlocked

"Edited:- Problem solved, I loaded the upgrade from a different PC. I don't know why my main PC would not work as that is the one I regularly sinc the pocket PC to, but it just kept aborting the upgrade. Anyone else having this problem, try another PC."

"it was stoping with an upgrade error at the very beggining of the extended ROM flashing no matter which ROM you were flashing to it! At the end they exchanged it for a new one, probably the ROM chip was faulty!"

I'm not able to upgrade my PPC.
The strange thing is that i can upgrade Radio Stack and even Extended Rom!
Only CE ROM wont' update.
Previous CE ROM installed was AKU 3.5 and Windows Mobile 5.0
Everythings worked fine.
Non other way?
I've seen that after launched del himaupgradeUt_noID the Activesync tray icon ho away.
My PPC sometimes ins't "seen" by my XP while other times it is "unknown device"
Why Can I only update RADIO and Extended Rom, while CE Rom not?

evey kind of button that I push the PPC is always in Bootloader Mode!
I'ev tryed: POWER + CAMERA + REC + STYLUS over the hole.
When I put the PPC to battery charger, red led is on until nothing is on the display, while when there is the written over the display, led is off.
No way to help me?

hello. i have the same problem but i have some suspections: i have 3 wersions of wm6 roms. one weight is 64 mb and others 32. and i tkink we are trying install rom from htc, dell or ipaq to our mda or other... so- **** this wrong rom and search for normal rom for himalaya ->

I have just done the following:
-Unlocked phone.
-Unlocked the super CID.
-Upgraded the SPL
-Ran mtty and formatted, and then installed WM6
The problem is WM6 is sketch for the following reasons.
-Its tempremental. I mean sometimes it turns on and it says "power off".
-Joystick is not working all of the time.
-Quite a bit of it is in Chinese.
The question(s) is:
-Where can I get a good working version of WM6.
-If I am re doing the ROM then can you tell me if all I need to do is run mtty, and format and install?

i've got a spv m1000, and when i open the bluetooth tray i get the following message
"there is no bluetooth hardware installed on this device"
anyone? maybe a romupdate will do some good? do i need to install something?

i updated the radio rom to 1.17.00 and updated to the C_ShekharAKU7.0c.R40.P24_public wm6 rom. still the problem with bluetooth hardware error persists.

Hi. I'm getting the same problem with c_shekhar's WM6.1 on my M1000, havn't a clue why. Tried unintsalling programs and doing a hard reset, but still there.
I have a unlocked HTC S310 but i can't install somme aplication. Is this shomething to do with CID or SuperCID. I've tried to use a little program SPV Ulock that unlocked my SPV C600 and it doesn't work... when the program want s to write to the registry an error message apperas saying " Unable to perform this action". Please tell me how can i solve this problem. Thanks.
Not work because spv c600 ,500 etc use disckOnChip Trueffs and Spv c100 Htc s710 etc use DisckOnChip OneNand .SpvService not work from htc s310.
So... there is nothing that i can do?

Hello everybody...
I just bought an PM200 (German T-Mobile Edition), WM5 says its a PM200.
After that I installed the aku 3.3 and everything worked fine...
Then I tried to install the "Charmer_Touch_GER_Ridingshark_Beta_3.2".
But while Writing the new TouchFLOW OS ROM i got the error... "Could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe it is in use?
try restarting your device, or restart activesync
But i realized it to late and already made a Hard Reset...
Then the Touch-Flow UI tried to install and the i got the WM error:
"The file : \windows\XDADev_BatFix.exe does not exist".
But i cant go on with the install but it doesnt matter which button i push...no one responds...
Then i downloaded the XDADEV_Batfix.cab but that dowsnt work...sure because it isnt the exe file...
Can anybody help me with tha prob?
I also treid to install the WM6 update again but i always get the itsutils.dll error...

Here is how to do it:
Flash back to WM5 using bootloader. Press camera button during reset.
If you see the screen with the 3 colours plug in the USB cable and wait till the Device is installed. Now run the T-Mobile uptade (Best is to use Akku3.3).
After it is finished connect to active sync and go to the Folder were the WM 6 upgrade is in. Now install the two cabs out of the folder where the WM6 ROM is in, on your device and make a soft reset. After that run the upgrade File. It will go same as before, but there will be no error and it will update completly.
Have a nice time with WM6

Thanks again to ChrBeck, I also used the search in this Forum to get it solved but i could find anything useful.
The only thing I had to do was to install the to cab´s (Cert_SPCS.cab and EnableRapi.cab witch are already included in the Charmer_Touch_GER_Ridingshark_Beta_3.2.rar.
The first Step was to update the WM5 Version to the aku 3.3. Then I transmitted the 2 Files with activeSync and installed them on the Charmer just with thip on each File. And the last Step was to flash the new WM6...
DONE....
Its so easy if you know what to do and with help from some users...
