Have currently WM2003SE running, but how can I get this to install without getting the Error 120 Country ID ERROR message?

Did it as describide by [email protected] but neverless I still get the country ID error....
Can it be solved by upgrading with a SD card?
I got a Country ID error when I was upgrading to 2003SE; I retried the upgrade after I got the country id error and I didn't receive it anymore.
As I'm typing I'm upgrading to WM2005; haven't got a country id error anymore. However, I'm using the himaupgradeut_noid.. Maybe you should try it with that upgrade tool. It's on the FTP
Yes, after using the himaupgradeut_noid.exe, it all went ok.
Still have some small problems (synchronisation and lak of memory) but it is nice to play around. Shame that TomTom is still not working.....

Just downloaded the new ROM update for Qtek2020/XDA-II from O2..
I doesnt work, it says "error 120, country id error" and that the ROM image doesnt work with my Pocket PC
And in the PDF file it says that the upgrade only works for O2 UK customers... what about me? I bought my Qtek here in Copenhagen denmark? How can I get this upgrade?
The distributer of Qtek here in DK is as good as invicibel, so is the information/support...
Can anyone help?

you download the two ROM files (XDA II upgrade and XDA II launch ROM)
First, install the Launch ROM and your Qtek is flashing with the original O2 ROM. Then launch the XDA II upgrade and it's OK.
I done this opération with my Qtek (previously ROM 1.60WWE) and it works perfectly!

i downloaded the Flash ROM, but the program seems to Quit after the little grey menu has been there saying that its checking my device?
Anyway nothing really happens after that... know what that could be?

Now I got the ROM update intaller started... but unfortunatly it stopped after deleting my old ROM and showed an error message...And now the Qtek is completely dead... it just says "Serial v.1.02" in the dark display...
I tryied this one time before, also trying to update the ROM.... and the only thing to do is send it to the manufacturer and wait at least 2 weeks for them to reinstall everything.
Hm, well, I dont suppose anyone knows a trick to get it running again?

when i'm trying upgrade to wm2003 se from 1.72 with v 1.03 boatloader i've got model id error and stuck in boatloader. i try to reset and plug Gin to continue the upgrade and still the same problem appeared.

I'm using xda II trying to upgrade from 1.72.104 to WM2003 se with 1.03 boatloader. before that I've succesfully upgrade my XDA II from 1.72.800 to WM 2003se with boatloader 1.02. what I do not know why appeared model id error with boatloader 1.03

hi guys i have an imate pocketpc 2003.i tried to upgrade to wm2005.the upgrade went smooth.but when I started my device.it gave me authentication failure error.contact your device manufacturer.
thankx to the forum emails i reverted the device back to the boot loader state and reinstalled wm2003se back.
it was really a nightmare.
any comments how to use wm2005 on the imate pocketpc .

I am exactly at the same place which u posted you where? Device Authentication...error while upgrading from Win 2003 to Win 2005. I am stuck!
And u had win 2003 SE, but i dont have it!

Well, then I ran HimaUpgradeUT.exe. It starts but drops my activesync connection and then thells me there is a connection problem. How's that, do I have to install AS 4.0 first?

I'm currently using a french orange 3100. if i install this english rom will my OS change to english (i want it in englis but dont want wm6 just yet))

Interesting the radio is 1.38.00.0.1 - i.e. quite old. I wonder if this has been tweaked for Orange - it's the same as the one in the French rom. I might try installing this radio to see how it goes.

I am using Wm6 Black 2.5 (OLIPRO 2.10) on my M3100 and when I am trying to install this update (BTW, it is a WM6 ROM ? ) I get an error from the RUU application that it cannot connect to the device (ERR 260). I have installed the Vista drivers and I don't know what to do ( I have read the guides and read the forum). Thanks in advance for any advice!

My device is reporting 2.11.61.1 (23/3/07), Operator version 14.211.1.611.
If you tell me how to work out the Ext. Rom version number I'll have a look and report that too.
so what rom would i need to install first in order to be able to install this update??? i am running black 2.5 also but want to go back to the orange preloaded version.

I have the same error as well. Is it because I have used hermes unlocker v3a to my M3100?
all those with 26x error, not able to update... extract the NBH file from the rom, then use CustomRUU (see stickies) to flash it.

@PETE that is not the reason the upgrade is not running. He can just FLASH Olipro1.10 which is 1.04 based then flash this ROM. However the 260error is not coming from the device. It is coming from the PC. I do not have a VISTA machine so maybe someone else shed some light. He should also search the threads for that error because it has been mentioned numerous times before.

[Help] ROM upgrade error
I tried to install the new M3100 ROM downloaded from the Orange page, and at the step before the M3100's screen goes tricolor, it got resetted and disconnected from my PC. The next thing I know I got an error saying "Your phone is not connected to your PC blah blah". Am I missing something here?
P.S: I dont have a craddle, the phone is connected using USB cable.
Have you done any upgrades on the device at all?? (such as HardSPL or a new radio)
