Stuck in Bootloader after the attempt to upgrade to WM2003SE - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

I have tried to upgraded to WM2003SE, however the upgraded stop with an error saying that there is an connection error. Ever since my SPV is dead. Any remedy?

no frets mate. simply remove the xda from the cradle and do a hard reset. the screen should either be blank or show the same bootloader mode. from there put the unit back on the cradle; you're not supposed to hear or see anything which will indicate activesync is working. once cradled; just click on the upgrade command on your pc. it should start all over again. same thing happened to me before but after a reset the upgrade went through. just keep on reseting the device if it's stuck on bootloader.

Just press the "Power" + "Soft Reset" + "The center of directinal pad" then reflash!

Thanks for the help. Problem is solved. Just wondering whether I could damage the device by flashing it with different ROM? Would I get to a stage that I can no longer recover the device?

If your doin an experimental in flashing u should be always stick in your mind the "Power" + "Soft Reset" + "The center of directinal pad" then reflash!" precedure! then it will be ok!

bizarre wallaby prob??

my son's wallaby is having a mid life crisis!!, will NOT turn on at all, the screen is in dimmed mode, screen taps/menus etc etc not working, it is just displaying the message:
Upgrading...
will take about 5 minutes.
Warning: do not remove the
USB/serial connection or power
adaptor from the pocket PC.
problem is that this message has been displayed constantly for the last 24-30hrs!!, have tried a soft re-set...nothing, then tried a hard re-set...nothing, its showing full charge, and have tried removing the SIM and SD cards as well as doing re-sets...nothing!
Please Help!!
Thanks guys.
The problem is that you propably removed your XDA from it's cradle during ROM flashing.
Can you acces bootloader (hold power then press soft reset button) ?
...Not tried that, will give it a go,
thanks for the info.
..OK, I managed to get the boot loader screen up, and ran thru the checks...all appears ok, but none of the tests relate to the OS?, so when all had been checked, and I came out of the loader screeen and turned it on again, it went back to the "upgrading..." as above, just cannot get the windows menu up at all, and activesync doesnt recognise what device it is, but activesync works perfectly on mine..........is there another level/setup program that can be acessed??
cheers guys.
So, after having access to your bootloader reflash your device using SD-Card and bootloader.
Process is described in the wiki of often here in the forum...

how to kitl mode?

i can't do kitl mode, after presing com + power +ok buton nothing happen, also com + power + reset, it just reset the unit, can someone help, thanks
AFAIK not all roms have KITL enabled.
Okay a dumb question since I couldn't find the info from the forums.. What is this KITL and since it's not enabled in all ROMs, are there a way to enable it or are there any original shipped roms with this KITL enabled?
I think i've a serious problem.
My Tytn has been stuck in tri-colored boot screen and shows
Herm200
IPL-1.04
Herm200
SPL-2.03
I've looked at the wiki and found this
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Unbrick
because of SPL 2.03 i should try this
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=PB_KITL_HERMES
But when i try to come in PB_KITL_MODE nothing happens.
i guess the comm-manager key is the middle key on the right side.
Any ideas what i could do ?
Thanks for your help

So i guess there is really no other way than to send the device to the repair center ... :-(
I only wanted to update to the WM6 official firmware. I will phone with the repair center tomorrow morning and here what they will say.
If anyone else has any idea what i could to to unbrick my device i would appriciate any help. But i think all what i could try has already be done.
I also have a SPL-2.03 Bricked Hermes... but I cannot get to the KITL mode, nothing happens and I stil lget the tri-color screen.. is there any updates on how to get to KITL, or how to unbrick without getting to KITL? And by the way, what KILT stands for?? Thanks
and by the way, when I try to get to KITL pressing the suggested buttons I get a flash of a white screen saying "no image file" it´s just a flash, then it gets to the tri-color screen. It seems to recognize the USB, as when I connect the phone, it says USB underneath the PDA screen... Pls Help!
I had the same problem a few months ago. My lil sis cell (TyTn aka 8525) just crashed on her and when I got it to do a soft reset it, booted up to the tricolor. Here's what i did:
1. Disable ActiveSync: connections -- settings -- uncheck "Allow USB Connections"
2. Remove the battery, put it back in, connect the USB cable, power on the unit (this should allow the USB port to be opened again)
3. Wait a minute or two, if you get a message that device cannot be recognized just close and ignore it
4. Open mtty.exe and select "USB" from the dialog box, then hit Ok.
5. You should see a white screen, hit enter and you should see a prompt like this: "USB>" (for some reason, I got Cmd>)
6. Type set 14 0 (do not copy and paste!!!) and hit enter
7. Soft reset with stylus
8. OS ROM and radio version should be back and OS functional, the unit isn't a BRICK anymore! (after the "set 16 0" I got it to boot but "No GSM" cell is non-functional but PDA functions work)
9. if it doesn't unbrick, repeat all the steps but with the command set 16 0
Source link: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_UpgradeProblems#problem4 will allow you to download the mtty.exe
Hope this helps.

please help me, forreal

i installed a new rings rom. it worked fine, then my phone froze up, now it won load pass the opening page. it just says analyzing device component..... and its frozen there. please help, i run my company thru my phone and its very important...
what type of phone do you have? if its a G1 as i have then its easy to un-brick or un-lock...just plug your phone to your PC and format your sdcard again which will erase all of its data then ya good to go or you can remove the battery place it back then hold down your home plus power button at the same time till youir phone boots to the next screen then press alt+L then altW then reboot your phone and sign back in...
if this is a post about the g1 take it to the other forum because this is about the hermes
its a herm 100. htc 8525
have you tried to do a hard reset? If not give that a try.
I hope you installed Hard SPL V3 on it first... to check - hold power, OK button above the flywheel and reset with stylus, hold in until the tri-colour screen appears. Will show IPL - 1.04 and SPL - 2.10oli (if you've installed hard SPL V7).
If so, and you tried to Hard Reset 1st with no success, try the sd card method. If thats not working, on the pc, if using XP, go to activesync's connection settings and untick "Allow USB Connections". Connect your Hermes to the pc with usb after going to bootloader. Run the RUU_Wrapper.exe file again. This should re-install the rom.
You're gonna have a heap of trouble if you haven't Hard SPLed your Hermes.
Good Luck....
I dont have hard spl v3 on my phone. when i try to load another rom or anything i get error 270 the image file is corrupted. please check your update utility. what does that mean? and how can i work thru that?

[Q] Device "soft bricked" - Help needed!

Hi guys, I was trying to flash a custom ROM for the first time onto my ASUS ME301T, as I was fairly sure ASUS was not going to update these devices anymore.
Anyway, now the device will not start. It will power on, and the first of the two ASUS start-up screens will appear (the non animated/static one). In the top corner, it reads "The Device is Unlocked" as was required when attempting to flash the 4.4.4 ROM. Beyond this, nothing happens. If I attempt to power down the device it simply reboots itself shortly after. The only way to turn it off is to insert a paperclip into the physical reset hole, or to let the device run out of battery.
Now before you tell me to go into recovery by holding power and volume down... I've tried that hundreds of times.. As well as power+vol up, although I don't know what that does. I cannot access recovery mode, as far as I know anyway. Further, the device is not detected by either of my computers (desktop or laptop, windows and mac) so I can't attempt to flash it through USB (unless there is a way to do this?).
The device does not heat up, the screen simply stays on the ASUS static logo. It doesn't power off unless I hold the button, and it quickly restarts. To provide context as to what I did to cause this issue.. It was working fine on its factory ROM, no issues, and I attempted to do another system reset to fix an issue I was having with TWRP. However, I accidentally selected the middle open, not RCK, not reset, but something like "boot into Linux" or something, I can't exactly remember. Anyway, like an idiot I freaked and powered off the device.. My guess is that this is was caused the issue?
Anyway, making this post here as this is my first time looking into/attempting to flash a device. Would appreciate some expert help before I use my tablet to prop up the books on my bookcase
Help me try to unbrick my tablet! (I'm not too hopeful though..)
Cheers

Bricked phone?

Hello, I registered here in XDA to only ask a question.
I have a phone (Hyundai e501) that's bugged in the no command screen.
My aunt gave me the phone with the description of 'just fix it'. My guess is that the ROM is corrupted so I tried to flash a new one (if that's how it's called).
I saw a YouTube tutorial and got pretty far until it said that the phone has no space.
So my question is: how can I factory reset / format the phone without starting it? I tried to use the recovery menu but it automatically says 'No command', even when I'm not trying to get to the recovery menu.
I tried the combination of buttons that said to get to the 'No command' screen with the power and vol up button pressed and then click and unclick vol up button and it didn't work.
Is there a program that could help me? If there's not it could be a hardware issue? Thanks!
