After up ROM to WM05 I take a Hard Reset then :

Device authentication failure. Please contact the product manufacturer. For reference, please provide your device ID

I try to reset again but nothing change :?
Did anyone have experience about this ???? Could anyone help ???

Ile be honest with you here m8 its a nice OS but at the moment its full of holes and needs work. Best thing to do is hang tight untill someone releases a stable version for Himalaya.
Ime sure as we speek forces unknown are working on it and will get something practical out here soon. :lol:

I copied the Extented Rom from my T-Mobile MDA 2.
Any one interested?
The GPRS Monitor is working.
It display's GRPS data usage, Batterypower, Network Icon, IE Explorer and Mail.
The MMS is not working.
All the others things i din't try because i don't know what the program's are.
If somebody interested let me know

It's the original Rom from T-Mobile Netherlands.

I too would like a copy of that ROM if you don't mind sharing.
I'm relatively new to this site and the world of the Himalaya. Best device I ever purchased. Foolishly I never backed up the original ROM (the one you have) and have been upgrading and other things since. Would be nice to get it back to "factory" settings just in case I ever sold it (looks like they're making progress with the Blue Angel so why not).

The site is in Dutch but the Rom is in WWE (World Wide English).
Also they mention that the use is at own risk. :!:
And that when you update all data on your mda will be lost. :!:
So make a backup before you update :wink:

1. find out "what is".. these are "the things" we should know.

5. Finally if you sure have the all "things" to upgrade your XDA2 to WM2003SE or WM5, just do it. don't forget to make a backup your old ROM and remember the motto well known from this site = use it at your own risk!

I just received 1pcs O2 XDA II as gift. Unfortunately it is in german language and is very difficult for me to use it.
Can someone please advice me how to change it into english step by step ?
I try to upgrade directly but i get error LANGUAGE ID ERROR.

I swapped my Dutch MDA Vario II purchased in August 2006 to a new one in May 2007 (screen alignment issues) and I have these versions :
