I just received 1pcs O2 XDA II as gift. Unfortunately it is in german language and is very difficult for me to use it.
Can someone please advice me how to change it into english step by step ?
I try to upgrade directly but i get error LANGUAGE ID ERROR.

i tried the cht it can directly intalled to o2 xda2 eng
but the chs one anyone know how to flash it into xda2?

I have a Dopod 696, the build-in version information are:
ROM Ver : 1.52.00CHS
ROM Date: 10/23/03
Wireless Ver: 1.08.00
Protocal Ver: 1337.18
ExtROM Ver: 1.52.95
Do I need a flash?
How to flash? is it the same way as English version?

What tools can open nbf file? and how do I use this file?

and Why is the CHS ROM download size 107M? the hardware ROM is only 64M. I am quite confused.

I found this link, and i think it's how you can use the CHS ROM provided on this link..
I am off to find a SDCARD in order to test it and give you guys an answer.
Instead of XDArit, use XDATools
But the thing is that, I am not sure if we could use XDATOOLS for XDAII
most of the example on the web i found is for XDA...

I have read the Himalaya Rom Flashing
so i get the exact file what the xdaii can read by the CHT rom
but i really need to know how to use the chs extended rom
it says
"checksum is not ok, possibly you provided the wrong password"

I have no luck with the XDATOOLS with the CHS rom provided in this thread.
Keeps saying incorrect size...

I have downloaded the 2 CHS Files (CHS_dopod696_15200_2.rar & extentded rom chs.rar).
HOwever, when I used a ROM Editor Program (er2003edit) to open these files, it ended up with a pop-up windows saying "The Password seems to be wrong"....
Does anybody here got the idea on how to open these files.

unfortunally, their website detected my IMEI as a chinese verson, so only the chinese rom file is available for download.

the alternative rom you can download in www.sourceo2.com or www.o2.co.uk
their website is free download.
i think this rom compatible with your device(before i use it).
this information rom is :

You should post this message in the Himalaya Forum, cause if you don't have a wallaby and post this in the wallaby part, the chance is very low, that someone could help you.

no i'm using T-mobile 2. serial v1.06. my current ROM version is 1.72 WWE Radio 1.17. ExtROM : 1.60.50. what can i do for upgrade or update my ROM. i'd listened this my rom (v1.0.6) just can update ROM and verry difficult to downgrade ??? <== that is right ? and its true then what can i do for downgrade . pls help me. thank all

Hi. Am new here. I got given a o2 XDA for free from my mate. The PDA is in German. Can any one please tell me how I can change it to English? What do I need to do it (hardware etc). Also if I download a program for it, how do I install it, do I put on the memory card?
