Unable to download file
Hi all,
While I download the Nk.nbf file and tried to unzip it, then it show error message "file corrupted". I tried few times still remain the same result. Kindly advice. :twisted:

Sorry guys, the file that I downloaded was the WM2003SE. Hope you guys can help me.
if the file died in the transfer then wait awhile before downloading it again because the isp and your own cache will keep the file and just give it to you again when you try to download it again
But the transfer file is successful. While I wanted to unzip it, the error message occur saying that file corrupted. Kindly advice
even though a transfer is successfull then the thing being transfered can still be currupt
a transfer is always successfull unless it times out
there is no check for anything but timeout

thats a zip made with the files from the 2.06.00wwe rom its for developing adn checking
Since the ROM file that I download is corrupted, can I use mkrom to revert this zip file to NK.nbf? Kindly advice
Since the nk.nbf file in "Himalaya_SE_2.06.00_Imate" folder is corrupted can somebody re-upload the file? I so desperate to go to WM2003SE since everybody is using it and give good comment on it.
Currently I using chinese version of WM2003SE, whenever it off my XDAII it will hanged....

To get the wrigth formation on the SD card is to Download the "old OS"
to the card and then to put the new os on top of that. This will assure you to have the rigth format, to make XDa "booth up" (not mention make and keep a back up of the old OS just in case...)
Seems due that its hard to find a nb1 image file on the latest O2 release...

i have the obnocius v0.23 bootloader that wont take anything less than complete nb1 image file. i have tried like nk.nbf upgrade but it wont catch. may be i should edit the sd card at 0x00000000. the rom.nb1 starts with HIMMALAYA at this address. the nbf's with something else. what do think?

this is very interesting, I've been trying to create a bootable sd card using the latest Oz rom. However there is not much clear info. How can I get ms_.nbf, NK.nbf. Radio_.nbf on an sd card? what are the exact offsets, do I need to decrypt the files first, etc. I tried the [reverse] method described here --> HimalayaHowtoCopyRom just to check, yet the eventual Radio_.nbf file is much smaller than the size of the original Radio_.nbf file installed on the himalaya. I'd appreciate if someone could give us detailed procedure to create an sdcard from the nbfs.

I use hotsync for install Wm2005. Open HimaUpgradeUt.exe but it don't delete information on my O2. I open patch1 for patch file nk.nbf but it can't patch. I don't understand why? I have 2 file (WM2k5_XDA2_HIMALAYA_O2_FullRAM.rar) and (WM2k5_1.50g_XDA2_HIMALAYA.rar) but they can't work. Pz help me
All this has been written many times here... read the forum.
Put your device into bootloader mode, then run HimaUpgradeUt.exe in the folder where you previously unzipped the file WM2k5_1.50g_XDA2_HIMALAYA.rar.
No patching is necessary.

This is also hidden somewhere in a thread, but I think it deserves it's own thread. We (G4 owners) don't need to flash all our roms in Italian language. In stead of copying all the Update Utility files just copy "ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe" and it will stay in English.
So if you get this error on you're G4:
ERROR[300]: INVALID UPDATE TOOL
This Update Utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please get newer Update Utility
Just replace the "ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe"! (I'll attach it too)
If you want to turn an already Italian installer into English replace all the files from "English Update Utility Files G4.zip".

I've tried ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe but keep getting
"Error 208: File Open.
The update utility can not open the requested file. Please check your update utility".

maybe you're not with the utility and the nk.nbf in the same folder(all in the root of the folder).

If the rom is one exe file, unpack it first with winrar. You'll see the file afterwards.
Yes I knows it becomes a exe file after I have zipped it.

Seems you haven't upacked the rom executable. You should have multiple files afterwards (e.g. ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe and nk.nbf). Just replace the ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe! The file error tells it can't find your nk.nbf.

No... I think your half-ass instructions confused everyone! you posted the update utility yet did not instruct that it should have been extracted in the same folder as the new ROM of the user's choice.
If you were to create a folder then extract the utility to that folder, then click on the extracted file, then for sure you will get the error msg.
Download first the ROM you want in a folder, All New ROMs will extract to two files. One of those files is the rom update utility file that you will need to replace with the Update Utility exe file in this post. To do this just extract the update utility tool ( posted here ) in the same folder of the downloaded and extracted ROM folder. You will then be up and running. Follow the instructions.
To follow up with my previous post, I would suggest you start with the 'Wizard_Love rom or the Button Rom as basis. This will reset your download prompts on your device to accept any Wizard compatible ROM of your choice. After the first update most likely you will not need this utility to update your favorite rom onto your device.

Did you notice the "developers" in the websites name? What are people doing on this forum if they don't know how to REPLACE a file. It isn't necessary to spoon-feed people.
i am following all steps thru SAFE WM5 upgrade guide. I make it thru the Flashing HardSPL and Upgrading to Radio version 1.41.00.10 with no problems. But on Rebuilding the ROM file I cannot get passed this step....

When you have downloaded the ROM file you must extract the contents of it using winrar into a folder, to make the process simple i suggest extracting to "original". Now delete ALL the files EXCEPT THE .NBH FILE. We are only interested in this file as it contains the nbh data which is flashed to the device.
The next step is to extract the contents of the file and split it into the seperate components.
Download duttys nbh tool and run it,

When I run that tool and try to Decompile NBH File the only thing it show me is radio.nb
It does not show me files like Windows.nb or Herm_ExtendedRom.nb and so on. Just radio.nb
So i am stuck I would really like your help on this.

Like I said in the PM it sounds like you are decompiling a radio upgrade rather than a ROM upgrade. Verify you are extracting the nbh from the correct file.
I wanted to flash the WM7.5 Mango for my Toshiba TG01 ,I reached the white screen but the following error appeared,"SD Downloading failed,File open Error"

Hi everyone! Recently I got this Thosiba tg01 and wanted to change from wm6.5 to 7 or to some cooked rom.
What I tried:
SDDL method: SD Downloading Failed - File Open Error
Pin method: Same error.
Tried 4 roms, all gave me the same error.
Is there a way to flash rom from pc or from the phone itself. Please help me I just can't stand WM6,5. If not, i'll sell my device.

the sd card must be formated and must contain Only "PRG" folder, inside folder put sddl and .bin file 0321 version !
Hello there,
Just to clarify:
- the uSD Card must be formatted.
- sddl+.exe must be in the ROOT of the card.
- the TGO01xxxx.tsw ROM image file must be in the \prg folder.
- execute sddl+.exe from file explorer and it will then flash the ROM.
Hope that helps It's actually very straightforward and reliable.
The 'short pin' method is primarily used if you happen to have a 'half-bricked' device and are unable to boot to start with.
