[Q] wcdma band

Hi everybody.
I purchased a unlocked gsm optimus t (t-mobile) in USA last week. Well, in my country we have a 850/1900 wcdma band (it seems the same at USA), but, i can´t conect to 3G network.
Searching for the phone specs, i find it the optimus t work in 1700/2100 network, it´s that correct??. If the answer is yes, it is possible to change wcdma frequency in this phone??.
Thanks for you help.
Pd: I read if i install a correct firmware for my country (Chile) is possible to change it.
I don't think so. There are 2 versions of the phone. I've bought mine in Chile, and no matter what ROM I use, I still can connect to the 3G network.
However, I think you should keep your phone and wait for Nextel or VTR networks to become operational, which will work on those bands.
You should see those 3G networks doing a network search on your mobile.

Yes: X10a/i is a world phone when sitting up to do this:
Menu/Sittings/Wireless & Networks/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/Click_GSM/WCDMA (Preferred).

T-mobile operates on 850 MHz band.. which is standard in USA whereas in India GSM bands are 900/1800 MHz.. A116 is made to operate on 900/1800 MHz band only.. it is a dual band GSM phone. You need a quad band phone which operates over 850/900/1700/1800 MHz only then you will be able to use it in India as well as USA

[Q] chinese 3g phones in the UK

im thinking of buying a chinese phone.
when i look at the specs most of them say
Support 3G Network: Band: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 & WCDMA 900/ 2100MHz
will i get full HSDPA speeds I currently get on my UK Samsung Galaxy Note?
Im on the Three network just now but do the above frequencies cover most major providers in the UK and abroad for 3G?
