[Q] Is the Volume down button "some how" on the same circuit as the charging d.c Plug
Had problems with my X10 for months now and is gradually getting worst..
First, it wouldnt charger, i now have to put sum tension upwards, or wrap the cable around my x10, for my to be able to charge my phone.
Now the volume down button "intermits" Works then does not Works then does not .... Found out when I had it on charge, It would work all the time, I take it off charge it stops working ... But then works after a short while , off charge .. "wierd"....
And now.. My phone has just become a self charging phone with any cables plugged in ... The LED light illuminated, has the battery status began its animation to charging.. Wierd !! Phone has not been in water, or dropped in very good condition... My theory on this , is because ive been applying preasure on the lead upwards on the phone, for sum time now ...
Will send it to Sony Erriccson . and they should hopefully repair / swap the phone.
p.s Could it be a battery fault ???

XPERIA Z2 D6502 Charging problem

and i read somewhere it might be possible to disable magnetic port?
any idea?
help would be appreciated
any help?
When you connected the magnetic charger first time, have you connected it in the correct way? If it is connected upside down, it ll cause serious issues..
LikeTh3DON said, you probably connected your magnetic charger in the wrong side. I've done the same with my D6503, and I have the same issue. I already looked to change the battery, nothing change, it's a chip on the motherboard I think.
Look on that thread, some users have the same issue, no solution so far:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2745786&page=3
If you can, use sony's usb cable and charger, or a usb port on your laptop, don't know if it's related, but my phone charge easier with those. If it's the same issue than mine, your phone will charge to 85-90% and the screen will constantly goes on. When it happen unplug your phone or it will heat a lot without charging.
Same thing accidently done with me.now phone dsnt charging with megnatic cable(charging on and off regularly) nd with USB its have same problem when battery % reaches above 90.
Please give me solution..
Is that repair is available for this issue?

Hey,
I haven't necessarily got a solution for your problem but thought I can offer you my opinion. I've used solely the magnetic charger for nearly a year as my USB port has clean snapped off from my logic board. The whole time I've not had an issue, the only time the device heats is during intensive games or/whilst charging.
I know that people have had issues with the magnetic charging port in the past, it's a relatively easy fix, however, will involve opening the device and stripping out a lot of the parts to get to the ribbon.... up to you what you want to do.
Guess I should ask the obvious, have you tried different cabled/ chargers etc?? the fault could potentially lie with the cables if they've been damaged/frayed.

Dead (water damage) Honor 9 - only blue LED - any hope?

Hi,
My friend gave me his Honor 9 which was damaged by water (snow).
Phone was dead but after cleaning it and drying and connecting to USB I can see blue LED lit where the earpiece is. The battery is dead. Now: is there any hope for the phone, maybe connecting new battery could bring it to life? I'm not sure if I should spend more time playing with it.
Some additional info: when connected to USB it draws 180 mA, trying to power it through battery connector doesn't do anything. When power button is pressed for ~8 seconds current slightly increases (0,5 s) then goes back to 180 mA - I suspect the reset circuitry or even CPU is alive. LCD is not showing anything. Telephone is not detected on USB port.
Thanks for any tips.
