Hello all.
I can't get a stable phone signal in my QTEK 2020.
I installed WM2003SE 2.06 and I try'd radio 1.18, 1.14 and 1.08.
The 1.18 is the worst for me, the outhers work great in the first Hard reset.
When I first Hard Reset my phone, after the update of rom I get good and stable signal, but when I start installing some stuff on it, the signal becomes instable, and the worst is that if i'm on a low signal area and if I lose signal I have to soft reset the QTEK or enter flight mode and then turn it of to get signal back.
Anyone had this problem too?
I searched this forum and found some posts about this, but no solutions.
If anyone has any solution, please help me with this.

first of all after hard reset , you said your phone signal is stable so it should be from the software you install later on. Try to test each software which one made your phone signal bad.
In some case the radio rom is the problem for me the best is 1.12 . I have tried 1.18 1.14 but I got unstable signal so I decide to use 1.12 instead. Another way to solve unstable signal is , the setting in phone option to use manual network instead of automatic and uncheck all the network that it is not your phone service provider network.

I made all the ajustments that you told me, and the bigest diference that I notice is that when I lose signal, I recover it much faster than before, but the signal is still week.
Can you tell me where to get radio 1.12, I never seen it for download and I like to test it too.

I've tested all versions except the 1.12.
After testing the 1.12 radio, my problem is the same.
I Reinstalled the 1.72 Rom with radio 1.14 and it's a little better, the only problem is that now I have WM2003, not the SE.
Hi to all,
i have a problem with my htc.
Sometimes it freeze while searching for the umts network.
It seems that everytime it needs to switch from gsm to umts it hangs.
Anybody has the same problem?

It could be the radio. I had several freezes, hang issues with 1.51.xx and went bak to to radio 1.50 and solved my issues....

As far as camera issues, try changing your radio. I haven't personally had any problems with my camera not working but people in various threads have reported camera problems going away after changing the radio.
Your Device must CID unlocked! You need minimum USPL and HardSPL started! If not ... Flashing stops on 99%!
If you use the wrong Radio with your Rom:
Device can get hot!
Power drain is very high!
Radio stuck, doesnt ring, no Audio, Hardware Problems, ...

This are all Radios from different Devices. The QUALCOMM Plattform is very compatible!
Letter Code:
K = comes from Kaiser
S = comes from Sedan
P = comes form Polaris
N = original from Neon

What does a Radio:
The Radio OS is Linux and run in a signed or crypted EFS. Its the main device driver are only stored and config in it! All functions about Wifi, GPS, 3D Acceleration, Blue Tooth, OS Key Mapping, USB, and Audio are handle in the Radio and NOT in the OS!!! The OS have only bridge Drivers to connect to the Radio. What config is in use, are handle via device PID in the NAND.
This is the reason, why some Radios save Power and other have better signal strange! Signal strange is more Country ID related and power saving more related to Protokoll Version.
If you are stuck in the bootloader, download MTTY, connect via USB (Activ Sync must disabled via USB!!!) and type the Command "boot"
Please tell me ... are HardSPL or USPL installed or do you use SSPL ak JumpSPL? how is the radio rom version, you have try? winxp or vista?

Highest Version are the newest ... whats differents ... HTC knows :-> 1.58.21.23 was in the lastest Radio Rom from HTC.
OIC, I updated the Radio rom.... but.. something freaky had happen....
My touch Flo menu which shows 6 box , email, sms/mms, internet, task, comm manager, calender.. is missing the internet button. only 5 show.. and the internet button is blank(black).
Did you guys get this problem?? and how to repair it??

But I have the niki with Radio 1.58.16.27, so if I flash the Radio 1.58.21.23 this is a higher version for me ... or not ???
Yes it is ... my english isnt realy good enough to explane all details about radio rom revision!
some roms are faster ... some have higher batterie drain ... some have special functions for special phone networks!

I've already upgraded to Radio 1.58.21.23 from 1.58.16.27 haven't notice anything significant other then my bluetooth activesync seems to be more consistent, I guess it's early days yet to conclude anything about this Radio, I'll see how I get on with it in the next couple of days!!

running vista ultimate sp1, following all the guides, trying to update to RUU Nike Radio 1.58.21.23,
had the RUU Nike Radio 1.58.16.27 installed...
everything went fine untill it came to 99%... it stalled and the install program told me to follow some
recovery steps, i did, but vista cant recognize the usb device... henche, i cant connect to the phone...
is there a place for drivers or so...??
please help out a noob...

Possibel ... i use in the moment a modded rom ... the datarate is higher. if i get a modded spl, i will analyse the radio roms and make a list of the functions. read the kaiser thread about radios!!

I stuck on 99% (with Radio_1.58.21.23), but now I can't update and my niki is always in boot-mode (red/green/blue)

Hi eveyone
i m using Imate Jasjam (hermes100). i am having a problem with network signals. its just network shows dummy signals. cant make or receive calls.
it all happened when i upgraded it to WM6. i used Hard SPL v9. the rom upgrade was ok. except that it stuck at 100% and gave a message to recover. but the rom upgrade become successful. after that i was having issue of this annoying radio prob. i used radio 1.54.30.10 after that i m using 1.54.07.00. but no change is noticed.
when the radio stops working, i change the 3G setting at Comm manager to auto mode than to GSM mode an it failed to register to network and showed "No service"

This is a very well documented problem with hermes. More and more people are starting to have this problem now.
I had the same problem and I got a new phone under warranty.
Most likely it is a radio hardware problem and probably you will need to have the motherboard changed.
If phone is still under warranty, just get it repaired by HTC. If not then you are probably out of luck.

that is very odd.
my hermes is working perfectly ok except the radio. it has never been bricked. i have flashed it many times. tried all versions of Hard SPL. tried many roms. tried many radio roms. everything installs to the last dip.
but still no success regarding radio signal problem.
i have noticed that when one sim stops showing network, i put other sim having other network coberage and it works. but jus for 10 to 12 hours. after that i have to change it back. and it works for 10 hours. but it really getting me on my nerve
please share if helpful to me.
PLEASE ADVISE ME if i get my Hermes fixed by changing its mother board, should i go for WM6 and newer radio or not.

Hello everyone.
I've problem while unlocking my Herm(MDA Vario II form Era). I downloaded Unlock_v3a prom forum. SPL updated succesfully to 1.40 Olipro byt while installing Radio it stuck on 0%. Then i have only bootloader screen and I install WM 6 wersion of operator (but without Radio etc because when i tried install full it stuck on 12% - radio install). Anyone have some idea what's wrong?
Maybe it is SPL case?

Ok i want to refresh my Thread. I was reading many articles about Hermes and my case now is like that.
My Radio is working i can talking by PDA but only with cards of it's operator, when i'm trying install Radio installation stops on 0% i try to install 1.14, 1.18 Radio but always with the same result.
My IPL is 1.01
