I've problem while unlocking my Herm(MDA Vario II form Era). I downloaded Unlock_v3a prom forum. SPL updated succesfully to 1.40 Olipro byt while installing Radio it stuck on 0%. Then i have only bootloader screen and I install WM 6 wersion of operator (but without Radio etc because when i tried install full it stuck on 12% - radio install). Anyone have some idea what's wrong?
Maybe it is SPL case?

Ok i want to refresh my Thread. I was reading many articles about Hermes and my case now is like that.
My Radio is working i can talking by PDA but only with cards of it's operator, when i'm trying install Radio installation stops on 0% i try to install 1.14, 1.18 Radio but always with the same result.
My IPL is 1.01
SPL is 1.40 Olipro
Radio ver. 1.05.02.00
Running on WM 6

Using XP, I am trying to upgrade from radio 1.16.00.00 to radio 1.20.31.10. I have followed the instructions in the Hermes Upgrade Guide to the letter. I have tried sever times, but I continue to get ERROR 114. Each time the phone says "Upgrade Radio Stack Please Wait..." and the upgrading process never moves from 0% on the desktop (yes, I closed process wcescomm.exe before starting.) I have also tried doing another upgrade right after the error 114 message, without disconnecting the phone nor reseting, but I get ERROR 150.
Any ideas would be helpful.

Current Setup:
ROM: 1.34.502.1 Cingular
Radio: 1.16.00.00
BL: 1.04
Task 32: 0
History:
1) Phone came loaded with Cingular ROM 1.34
2) Downgraded to Cingular ROM 1.30 to get BL1.04
3) SuperCID unlock automatically with HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3 (GREAT PROGRAM!!!)
4) Used SSPL-HERM.exe to change ROM back to Cingular 1.34
5) UNSUCCESSFULLY tried to upgrade Radio Version to 1.20
Well, I was doing everything right... but my computer was refusing to cooperate with me. Because I did the exact same thing on my wifes computer and it worked!!!

Hi i have a Cingular 8525 and ran cid unlocker and bootlogger 1.0. i tried to install just radio upgrade 1.34 and it gets to 95 percent and i get an error message (three times) tried hard reset and it continues to go back to the bootlogger mode.
ther is a 4 color screen
herm100
IPL-1.00
herm100 MFG
SPL-1.01
Did i brick the phone, i tried running bootlogger again to no avail.

U may need install a special Bootloader 1.01 MFG!

In order to upgrade Radio Rom only - U will need >>

To install radio upgrades, you need Bootloader 1.04. 1.01MFG won't do radio images.
Upgrade to 1.04 and then flash again.

use mtty to upgrade your bootloader to 1.04, then re-flash
also, are you using the standard Hermes RUU to update? or the Magician MaUpgradeUt to upgrade the radio?
Try this. Boot to OS or if you can not boot then put in BL mode(tri color screen). Run this http://uploadingit.com/files/8194/NBH Radio Only 1.27.00.00.zip
You should have Radio 1.27 after that.

I have one MSPV M3100 and i upgrate this to WM6 Xda-Live 0.20.1 ROM. This rom woek perfectly but my telephone run very bad.
Y have this version:
ROM: WM6 Xda-Live 0.20.1
Radio ROM: 1.16.0.0
Bootloader: SPL 1.06
I want upgrade my Radio Rom to 1.27 version, but not it with himself. I have tried 4 times, and always the same error. ERROR 114= Upgrade error.
I have followed these instructions:
Upgrade instructions
1. Extract the contents of the compressed file you've just downloaded
2.Run MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe
Description for Radio 1.11 shows ver 0.70, but don't worry about it, it is really 1.11
3. The Hermes screen will turn white and show "Upgrade Radio Stack Please wait........."
4. If you get a "ERROR 120: COUNTRY ID ERROR", do not disconnect the device, run MaUpgradeUt_noID again.
5. The upgrading process will start and MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe will end up saying "ERROR 114: Upgrade Error", but the radio ROM will be flashed anyway, don't worry about that error!
6. Soft reset with stylus (Device will not be hard reset and no data will be lost)

I have the Oliman 1.10 and ipl is 1.01. Search for hard spl and you will have it all.

Before you flash the radio it is a good idea to use Hard-SPL so if the flash goes wrong the phone can be recovered.

You Need to use SSPL. Look for Radio Files with SSPL in the WIKI.

@merodio How is it that you live in the USA, but have a CANADIAN cell provider (Fido), and also can't speak/write English (again, since you live in the USA)???
EDIT: Apparently the fido icon comes up when you select "Albania - Albanian Mobile Comms" as your provider.. Which is ALSO a non-sensical choice if you're in the USA....

Hey Meodio_99, sorry but you are a classical case of someone who is going to end up with a bricked (dead) phone. You have a disadvantage as your English does not appear to be very good but you need to both read AND understand otherwise sooner or later you will end up with a bricked phone.
I suggest you read all the WIKI sections talking about upgrading and also http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=286755
It might take you an hour or so but it might also prevent you from crying yourself to sleep at night because you killed your Hermes!

I have an unlocked MDA vario II, which I unlocked it by myself using the CID unlocker 3a. After the procedure which was succesful, the SPL of my PDA changed to these:
HERM 300
IPL-1.01
HERM300
SPL-1.40 Olipro
I tried to upgrade the SPL with the new HARD SPL v7
and I am getting the error 269 when I am using the RUU wrapper.
What is the problem ?
will I be able to install new roms with my current SPL ?
