i got 2003se on but my computer with activesync 3.8 on winxp will not recognize the cradle or the phone ---drivers for the tmobile 2003 edition maybe?Who knows?active sync doesn't work now and i'm goin craaaazy!i don't want to trade os's cause' 2003se seems really cool!help!
You shouldnt need a driver. When you connect with usb you should get "hardware found" once this completes it should say "hardware ready". If you then install activesync and usb is enabled in activesync settings, it should be discovered and you will be prompted for a name for the device. Have you tried activesync 4.?

Im sure this question has been answered a thousand times but cant find it.
I am a virgin poster so please be kind.
Trying to downgrade from 1.06 to 1.04. When I try to run the M3000v3unlock application, in the dos windows, I get device not found.
I have active sync 4.5 and the latest htc. usb drivers.
Active sync seems to work fine when connecting, but disconnects when m3000vunlock is run. I have disable the advanced usb settings on the dopod, and have also tried disabling usb in active sync.
Where am i going wrong?
Mal.
I have a AT&T 8525. I installed 2.10 Olipro and then flashed with the latest AT&T WM6 upgrade from this site. It was labelled as the "official" upgrade.
The upgrade went well and everything seems ok (though it feels a bit more sluggish and I thought it would noticiabley increase speed of apps etc.)...anyway my Activesync is simply not working with this phone anymore. It doesn't recognize it when I plug in with the cable. This makes it hard for me to re-install a different ROM or any other app.
Bluetooth can see the phone, but, again, it doesn't seem to want to make an Activesync connection....please help...thanks in advance.
try deleting existing relationships. and create a new one. most likely because of your current upgrade, your DEVICE ID has been changed.
I actually have no relationships in Activesync right now.
I'm loading a fresh copy of Activesyn on my wife's computer to see if I can get a relationship established on a new install.
Any other ideas...I'm all ears!
you should be creating one.. its most likely because your DEVICE ID has been changed. have you checked it?
I have the same problem
The problem apears when I connect the device to the computer "USB Device Not Recognized".
Tested in another computer with same results...
It seems to be some driver issue, but I have no clue where to start...
I have a HERM200 (TyTN) unlocked and activesyn was working when the device OS was WM5. fter the upgrade, does not recognize anymore...
It's working now
After the OS upgrade, needs to turn off (for real) and turn on again. It works sweet.
Need to remember: MS Windows DEvices needs MS Solutions - Reboot !
Hi Friends:
Today, I tried to run my HTC MOGUL PPC-6800 in Bootloader Mode (SPL-1.07.0000) and then I run ROMUpdateUtility (Hard-SPL-MFG) to update the SPL to 2.40-olipro and I got the following:
- only 0%
- and finally ERROR [262]: UPDATE ERROR
I needed to do the recovery procedure and tired again and got the same results.
Can you help me?
Thanks

Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1.6965
Windows Vista 64-bits
You must establish a Activesync connection first and not be in Bootloader mode then execute Hard-SPL-MFG.exe. Checkout the updated Wiki:

I recently did the update with 2.40 and DCD's ROM, I had the same issue. I don't know what I did to make it magically work agian. I tried three different times. Anywho, sorry I can't be more help.
Hi Friends:
I solved the Error [262]: Update Error, it was very simple...
1. I run the Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 with Windows XP-SP2 and then run Hard-SPL-MFG.exe and my NEW SPRINT HTC MOGUL PPC-6800 got a Bootloader Mode with 2.4.Olipro
2. I run RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.35.651.2_RS_TITAN_3.35.04_4350H_SPCS_AM_Ship.exe and I had the following:
Windows Mobile 6 Professional
CE OS 5.2.1629 (Build 18136.0.4.8)
ROM version: 3.35.651.2
ROM date: 02/22/08
Radio version: 3.35.04
3. in Bootloader Mode, I run DCD_3.0.1_Sprint and I had the following:
Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
CE OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0)
ROM version: dcd 3.0.1
ROM date: 02/22/08

Oops, sorry I misread that the first time.
If you did uncheck the allow usb connections, you may to try killing the device center process. I've had issues with that before (I use Vista as well).
Look for wmdc.exe in the Process list and try killing that. It should work if you then reconnect your phone. I've had success going that route on Vista anyway.
Tried that too didnt work
Weird because i kno my computer realizes something is connected but I try the titan_exitbl.exe and get that error
is it because im running on vista?
I just got a Cingular 3125 off ebay and the phone works fine, I just got a data cable for it and attempted to sync it with my laptop, running Windows Vista Ultimate. It is being installed as an unknown device and neither WMDC nor Activesync is recognizing the phone. I've tried updating the driver, deleting and reinstalling the driver, resetting the phone, nothing has worked. My phone is a Cingular 3125 of the HTC Star Trek running ROM version 2.4.502.0. My OS is WIndows Vista Ultimate. has anyone had this problem or have a possible solution?? Thanks
Hi,
I'm facing the same issue. I guess, its a hardware related problem.
When I connect my SmartFlip, it shows charging icon at top, but in case of ActiveSync or WMDC - it says Not Connected. Even Windows detects it as Unknown device.
When I asked to service center, they said, its an issue with Hardware, but confused.
Hello, i'm trying to upgrade my device but facing a weird problem. The WMDC works fine and i can sync my device. When i run the RUU, it analyzes the rom and put the device in bootloader mode....
as soon as the device enters the bootloader, the usb loses the connection and says "cannot recognize the device" or "drivers not found" etc....and the RUU gives the error of "cannot connect to the device. make sure...."
I have tried this with the AthenaUnlocker as well as the AthenaWrapper. I'm currently on SPL 1.1 and want to upgrade to 1.2
Please help!
I have the same problem!
I want to install HSPL on my device. I cannot install this via SD Card so i tried it with USB. But after the bootloader the connenction was lost. Many times...
Can somebody tell me how to fix this problem?
Thanks
Edet: My device is a HTC HD2
This might not fit your problem, but ...
... try to connect your device to a PC/laptop with USB 1.1 - with my Ameo I have many "connection loss" problems with USB 2.0 speed, which occure only on heavy (data) load on syncing.
Disabling USB2.0 is possible on some machines within the BIOS.
If you got no PC/laptop with USB1.1 you can disable the USB 2.0 related driver in the Windows Device Manager (it works for me, in general). Therefor open the device manager and select the "View" menu -> devices by connection (or similar). Now search for the Athena entry attached to the listed USB hardware. Disable the "most-upper" USB controller the Athena is attached to.
OK, the last description might be confusing, but try.
Good luck (as this solution fits to your problem, as I am not sure)
What worked for me

I just spent the weekend trying to unlock my Athena and was having the exact same problem... USB would disconnect, errors 202, 267 . I finally was able to flash the Olipro bootloader, but had a hard time unlocking the radio. My device showed no radio under its properties, so I could not tell what radio version I had. Pressing "phone" would not bring the dialup screen. After so much sweat, I had to put it apart, only to find that the radio board connection to the motherboard was improperly seated, thus was having a bad connection. Once the connection was properly seated, the phone booted up to the emergency call screen, notified that there was no SIM card detected and when I looked in the device properties, the radio version was listed!. I then proceeded to unlock and flash the radio and this time the connection was not lost, the process completed without a glitch.
Hope that helps...
