Hi guys its my first post here, i dropped my xda and the aerial bit where the stylus fits in has snapped off, now i cannot get a signal unless im in a town center or something , even then its weak, where can i buy a replacement aerial/stylusholder thing?
Also i wish to use tomtom on this xda with a gps bug, whats the best value gps bug for the xda1 ?
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated thanks

I almost cried. The night before the cable arrived in the mail, the sx56 slid off my chest on to the floor, for I had fallen asleep on my couch infront of the T.V. with it on my chest. Horrible cracks in the screen and its oozing led blood. Give it to me str8, how totally ,utterly completely up a creek with no paddle am I . Who repairs this . I am in California. the shock will take some time to heal.

I've searched al over the net, but I couldn't find anyone who could deliver me an o2 lcd screen. Only o2 can repair it for 285 euro. If you find someone, please let me now.

Ipaqrepair.com repairs SX56 screens in the US. I got mine fixed there ,and the guy who fixes it is very quick. I had my digitizer done but he also does complete LCM replacements too. Just email them and you should get the info you need. Hope this helps and good luck!

I have an XDA with all it's parts in perfect condition.Something is wrong internally which basically means that there is no sound from it,but everything else is fine with it.
The screen and all other parts are in perfect working order,with no scratches at all(in facts it looks better than the XDA I use!!Such a shame!).
Anyway,I can sell it to you for spare parts.I will of course much less for the XDA than O2 charge.I will accept half of they ask for.Let me know if you are interested.

recently I have a serious problem using my XDA 1.
It might have been the consequence of a drop from my belt clip holder.
The XDA fell onto the ground of a tube station.
Now there is a little scratch on the lower right corner of the LCD screen.
When I turn it on (and sometimes even during use), the display color changes occaisonally to some bright green/blue and it's very difficult to read/see anything.
Sometimes it's working without problems.
But especially using it with a navigationssystem and can be very annoying if the screen suddenly disappears.
Any advice what to do would be highly appreciated!
Are there any shops who could fix this in the London area?

One thing is for sure something is loose/not making the proper connection.
I suggest and if you're up to it, for you to take it apart and take a look.

I am hesittating to open the XDA, since I am not very technical at all.

Hello Everybody,
Today, my xda became very wet, because it was falling in the water. I've open the xda and at this moment it's drying at home. The screen has a blak spot about 1 inch. Does anybody know what my chances are to get this device working again.

Might be just the screen thats damaged, but I think this is the most expensive part of the XDA to replace...

I put My Palm505 on top of the throne in the bathroom which unfortunately has a rounded top.
And before anyone say echhhh! it was AFTER I hv flush ok? Thats when I switch to the dark side an bought a Xda.

i have 2 xda's one with RSU upgrade failed which am taking care of by sending it to be fixed & the other i have blew its charging point, so i need an xda or xda 2 with broken screen so i can use the other board with my screen, if you do have an xda with broken screen make some money out of it specially SHIPPING IS ON ME

Hello to anyone reading this,
This crack in the board happened after it went through the clothes washer, and it was gf's phone so i feel really horrible about it .
Anyways i have yet to even find out what this piece of the board is named. It's cracked in two places on the vertical part of the board that leads down
to where the usb connector is located (everything else appears looks ok just these two cracked pieces). I'm just looking for any help at all, hoping
someone might be able to offer any help at all, or if it's even possible to salvage. I have an uncle that is got a good amount of experience in
soldering/electrical stuff and can handle the soldering/fixing since im still a bit of a noob, but he was unsure about how to go about it since it would
require some very small wires to fix the connection traces, so if anyone can offer any advice or instruction on mending i would greatly appreciate and
can send some BTC for your help. I attached 2 images, and can supply more if you need more detail.
So far the only thing i can think of is to get a broken board and remove the part i need at the easiest location it could be re-attached... no clue if that easier area exists though..
