Unable to syncronize with ActivSync

Hey all,
I've been facing this peculiar problem for the past few days now. I'm running Microsoft ActivSync 4.5 on my system and have been using Gullum's prophet X ROM for a while. I have in the past installed and used several other ROMs with no problem at all (thanks to all the members' support here).
Today when I tried to install a new ROM and connected my Prophet to the USB, it made a peculiar sound instead of the normal ting-tong sound which signals a connection with the computer. Today it made 3 short sounds instead of the regular ting tong. It made tong-tong-tong and did not connect to activsync.
I am able to see the red led light on when the usb is connected and my prophet battery gets charged but Activsync states Not Connected.
I've tried soft resetting which did not solve the problem, I tried rebooting my system but didnt help as well. But when I tried to connect another Prophet(my friend's) it connects fine with a regular ting-tong and ActivSync says connected and syncronizes.
Please help...
Thank you.
After a lot of fiddling around with my phone, I finally managed to find the culprit. In case someone else faces the same problem, try this. This is where the problem was:
Start - Settings - System tab - "USB to PC"
Uncheck the check box that says - "Enable advanced network functionality" and voila, I was able to connect and update my ROM with ease.
Thank you,
CC
thankyou for this, ive just searched the forum and this 1 came up and it worked for me.

[Q] Bluetooth problem / parror MKi9200

Hi
I have a parrot handsfree MKi9200 installed and it's been working fine. But since 3 latest updates on my S II, it's been acting odd. I'm now at version 4.0.4.
Problem is when connecting to the parrot it's ´stuck for some 20-25 seconds. When it's done doing whatever it's doing i get a message on the phone in a grey boks. It's in danish, but it's something about bluetooth has stopped syncronization. I have to press OK on the phone to get grey boks to dissappear. This also happens if i call someone and obviosly at some point hang up, then i get that odd message again and phone is stuck until it has done "something". On the display of the parrot device, i see the symbol for sync running while it's going on.
Is it some Bluetooth setting i need to tick somewhere that has been enabled within last 3 Android updates?
Cheers
Rathsach
It maybe that the parrot bluetooth software needs updating. Check your manual to see how to updae the software.
Bluetooth updates on the phone download newer versions of the sofftware which may not be compatible with the version of the parrot.

Disconnected from pc notification randomly appears

Hello, i have a little problem.
I have a "disconnected from pc" notification appearing on my notif. bar. It is always there and when i am using my phone, it randomly appears. No intervals, just randomly. When i connect my phone to pc, it works well and doesnt disconnect me, so the problem is hidden in software i thinks.
Any suggestions?
Does it happen to you too?
Re: Cyndrom
Same here. Any fixes yet?
Bump. Same here. Is this hardware or software related? Only happened today after I got the device back from service for a usb flap that wouldn't close.
Go to Settings → Xperia™ Connectivity → USB Connectivity and press and hold on the device that is causing the issue under "Wireless Media Transfer" worked for me.
