Programm to full backup my device

I want to try out different roms and different configurations, nut for that I would like to fully backup my device because its currently very well configured and i dont want to lose it. So if i mess something up or i dont like any other configuration then i shoul revert back and EVERYTHING is exactly as i left it
Whats the best solution/program to archive that?
How would I be able to test different roms but not losing my primary conf?
Please help
Thankts in advance.
Assuming you have your existing ROM image available to reflash, I'd personally recommend spb Backup. http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com
Although its not free it will do a complete system dump to a self extracting file.
I have used it on several occassions to go back to WM5 from WM6 ROMs.
It can NOT be used to restore between ROM versions though.
Simply use it to backup your existing system to an SD card and try out your new ROM. If you decide to go back, reflash to your original ROM and then run the backup .exe file from the SD card. This will give you the desired effect.
Sprite backup is also a good alternative to spb Backup apparently but I haven't personally tried it. http://www.spritesoftware.com

[Q] Restoring userdata/app/sms etc after flashing with custom ROM?

Hi all,
After putting off rooting and flashing my P500 for a couple months, I finally decided it was time to try this whole custom ROM, rooting stuff.
Got through the whole process without a hitch, made my nandroid backups and saved a copy of the contents of my SD card (with nandroid backups) onto my computer.
Now here's the question/issue:
How do I restore my previous apps, sms, settings etc from the backups?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

nandroid backups are usseless if ur migating to a new rom.u cant take anythin from it except the whole.it is usefull to get back the privious state if anything goes wrong with ur new rom.
now how to restore.....apps are avilable in market to back up app,(titanium....but if u back up and reintall certain apps to the new rom problems may arise),sms and even vpn settings.just serch in the market

is it safe to remove Backup & Restore App?

as the topic says,
if not, can anyone upload that app?
It won't affect anything else on your phone, so if you don't use it just remove it, you can always make a full backup with recovery and restore the data from there.
There is an app called appbackup i use it all the time u js backup all ur apps to ur sdcard and then after installing a new rom u cn restore.
No,this is not a System-depending application. This is just used to backup apps and contacts (on Sony Ericsson X10 line phones) to backup your data for one of the following reasons :
- Your firmware may be affected by something and you'll need to restore the contacts/sms/apps after the restoration
- You may have 2.0.5.A.0.24 firmware and you need to upgrade to 2.1.1.A.0.6.If you don't perform a backup you will lose every single data/setting that is stored on the phone's memory
- Your little brother accidentially pressed Restore to Factory defaults, without backup, now you won't be able to call that new girl Mary because you don't have her number! What you're gonna do then ?
OK,you can choose alternative backup applications but the sony ericsson one is here : Backup and restore for Eclair or the modded one to work for Froyo (and Gingerbread I think) Modded Backup & Restore, tutorial to install + download
Hope I helped,and I think I deserve a "Thanks",so...
SMASH THAT THANKS BUTTON

[Q] Help me PLZZ :'(

Hi all , i am a noob on android and i have install cyanogenmod 9 on my phone lg optimus l3 e400....
before i install CM9 i backup all data but i dont know how to restore my phone , i mean i wanna remove CM9 and get back my android 2.3.6 gingerbread
Help me plzzz , my phone is too bad !!!
I usually do same thing, only do a backup of my personal files (contacts, photos...) and download the programs another time of PS.
I know that it is not a great help, but is easy and fast.
Boot into Clockworkmod recovery. Wipe data and cache and then go into backup and restore. Choose restore. If your backup is there just choose that and your phone will do the rest. If it isn't there, try restore from internal sd card.
Hope this helps.
all depends on how you "backed up"
