with himalaya you dont need a kitchen because you can just unlock the extented rom and place what ever programs you want there

I want to ask anyone know how to build an Extended Rom for XdaII to Upgrade it's Extended Rom?
My thought is that, we can't modify the extended rom, how's we buid a rom then upgrad the extended rom part? I think it's an alternative way to modify the Extended Rom.
does the "mkrom" can do it?

I have right now finished to upgrade my XDAII with WM2003SE 2.02, and in order to manage the situation that you have described I have used the program ER2003Edit . I found it very usefoul in order to take an already existent extended rom and replace / add / delete applications inside. Pls don't miss to modify too the config.txt files in order to start automatically the installation of applications files after an hard reset.

how do you customize your own ext. rom? i installed XdA2JoJo.v3.2zS in my xda2 and found too much programs with it..

im trying to cook a rom for this device and have only worked with a hermes before..and those tools i was using...ROMcDonalds .. are not dumping the OS.nb
anyone know how to dump the OS.nb of this .nbh?

I'd like to make one special for my own sedna, including SPB mobile shell 3 or with Windows Mobile 6.5 (not sure about WM6.5 ).
For sure, sedna is not very popular but i think it is a very good phone.

i used kaiser kitchen to build my rom... and used qmat to split and recompile my .nbh
qmat.. http://revskills.de/pages/download.html
of course i need to have hard spl 'ed my SEDNA before i did any thing...
so thats first .. hard spl ...
then use qmat to Dump your .nbh up and get os.nb...
then with that os.nb follow the kaiser directions for cooking and use a kitchen there... i think there are a few but any thing that will work for kaiser will now work for sedna..
cook you rom and recompile till its os.nb again...
then use qmat to generate os.nb back to a .nbh and use an original flasher.. just replace the .nbh with your cooked one... and thats it
of course not everything that applies to kaiser works here but enough does and once you have a hard spl you should not brick you phone and you can flash any rom you cook.
i take it you have some idea how to cook ...if not well read the kaiser directions and figure it out...

Hi I am looking for a Hermes WM5 Kitchen with OEMS, package, instructions, flashing tools etc. Just got a Hermes, have used kitchens and roms on my Apache before ie.ppcgeeks.com ftp. They've been great especially been able to tick selections in BuildOS. Hermes is a bit different. There seems to be plenty of links here & on google for WM6, 6.5 kitchens for Hermes but no WM5 (WM5's history) So trying to get a copy off someones hard drive. The forums are great have read up on Hermes XDA wiki. Tried breaking down a HTC WM5 stock rom with Hypercore kitchen (nerve racking). Haven't completed that yet but was wondering if anyone has or knows someone or have links which could help that would be great. I am a bit of a WM5 fan have used it since I've had my Apache & am happy with it. Don't like alot of junk & the lack of being able to really customise and play with stock roms.
Now most of the kitchen is wm6.5

somehow, some rw6828 ROM can't work on mine, (e.g : Hp Rw6815 WM 6.5 28205 frantic, 6828-WM65-20100218-b337, HP68x8_3.02.02a_NHOCBANME). it blinks at bootscreen. is there something wrong with my device? what should i do then?
what is the best tools to dump and build rw6828 WM 6.5 rom? (currently use Garmin WM 6 Cooking Sets, but it can't dump some rom's such as:ARIEY IPAQ WM6.5 SPECIAL EDITION, HP68x8_3.02.02a_byNHOCBANME, frantic Hp 6815 WM 6.5 28205, diskimg_v.4.0.b_by_maurin:can dump it but can't build the package). and where i can download it?

It's helloworld1's page.. the "20091012b-f" has the kitchen included.
You can dump with any tools, but you should somehow edit the addresses so the package tools can repackage your dump.

Hey Andy, what do you mean when you say the addresses should be edited for repackaging? Any tutorial or info on this somewhere? Tryin to build a 6.5 kitchen for the atom, but cant seem to port a hp rom to atom yet.
