:shock: SIM swap to Smart or Globe, that is the best option.
Im having the exact same problem with vodaphone uk. Please let me know if you find a solution. Come on guys give us some help.
What is your O2 specs, I also use a sun sim and it works with voice calls

recently i got a xda from my friend, and it was sim locked, then by using ur manipulater i unlocked, now it accepting my t-mobile sim, but i unable to make or receive calls from it, whats worng with this......., please help me

sorry i fogot to say that, i could make calls with o2 sim, but problom with t mobile sim

like normal gsm phone is it xda differ from that???????
It is like that. If you were living in the US, i could have forseen problems, however, the XDA you have will have a 900/1800 radio, and so should work on any of the 4 networks we have here.

ok...this is a wierd one...i have a Tmobile upgraded to 2003, everything went fine..untile I have been cut off from my GSM carrier in Egypt ( Mobinil) , I havn't paid for some time. when this happens the carrier gives you the right to receive calls, send and receive SMS but you can't make calls. When this happened suddenly my device refused to send SMSs to anyone..I could receive SMSs and calls but couldn't send SMSs .I thought this is simply from the carrier... I have another t-mobile still with pocket 2002 tried my sim card ...and guess what...I could send SMSs. went back to the T-mobile 2003; couldn't send SmSs at all. Changed siim cards...the machine worked fine and could send and receive messages-sim card from the same carrier. well, couldn't find any rational behind this....can anyone tell me what is going on.......it is not really something that serious ,as I know once I get my full service backs; I'll be able to send and receive through the new device...but for the time being can anyone tell me what is going on!

I have a T-mobile that was on PPC 2002 and locked. I managed to unlock it, upgrade it to ROM 3.18 or 4.00.11 , and Radio 3.25. The problem is that it doesn't get Mobinil signal.
Could you plz tell what Radio version you got and from where you down load it ?

Hi,pls help me, I've upgraded my siemens sx56 from PPC2002 to xda special edition 1.2, so I can unlock my phone. Fortunately the phone was unlocked, the problem is I have a full length of signal as per display on the screen, but I can't make a call or even make a sms message, what could be the problem?pls help me...

Well check if you are registered to the right network. that might be the problem. If it doesnt solve the problem, then i think you will have to give more details to what the problem is like!!!! :wink:
I have recently purchased a "unlocked" phone which was a O2 Xda Mini S off ebay. It is supposed to work with pay as a you go and contract sims.
When we inserted our orange contract sim into it we found that we could use it to phone out and recieve calls, but could not text out or recieve them. When you try and go into the phone settings it is disabled and will not let you access this feature.
If you insert a pay as you go sim for example like a orange pay as you go, you can access everything and this includes texts out and recieve. Calls work and the phone is fine. You can also access the phone settings to change your ring tones etc.
The seller says that we have a 3g sim and we would need a 2g sim instead. We cannot get one of those and we are very confused what to do. Will they work on contract? Has it been unlocked correctly? Too many questions and no answers. We have tried a new orange contract sim which came recently from orange but to no avail. Orange can do no more for me and 02 will not bother.
Can anyone help as it is a xmas present?

Settings > reset > reset network settings then reboot. Try that

Which version of the phone do you have? Did you already try to add your APN manually?

SM-G925F. But i why its only not working with orange PL sim. When i put other carrier sim like PLAY PL its work fine. When i went to Austria, my another sim card from orange work when i have signal in roaming. I dont know. In Poland with orange pl sim I can use H+ internet on max speed but i cant make call and i cant recive. Wtf?

Did you buy the phone from a UK network? Like vodafone or EE or 3 or was it from lile carphone warehouse?

Its work fine in Austria, with orange pl card on roaming ( LTE ) and any other sim from poland.

If you got it from EE it will be network locked. EE is the same network in UK as orange. So it should work fine with orange sim
