Hi,
I read this forum for a while now and was just wondering if anyone has built a custom WM2003SE ROM for an Alpine or Andes device with romkitchen or other tools - I'm very interested since I'd like to add some files to ROM - or is it just not possible yet? Maybe I just used wrong search criteria?

romkitchen is ONLY for wallaby devices(xda1's)
the whole concept dont make sence for the other devices
where the only part of the rom you can alter is the extented rom
and you can add to that any time you need not just before flashing rom

That's the problem - it's NOT possible to unlock the ExROM.
if it's unpossible now then you can always hope that somebody are working on it i guess

i think its possible to unlock the 2i's ExROM...
u can try this sw... it works for 2i
Doesn't work for XDA2i running WM2003SE
As there isn't a WM2005 for the XDA2i, I can't test that

Yes, but that won't change your language.
So i need to flah an entire rom like the ones @ wiki: "Original Shipped ROM Versions", right?
By the way, what is "AKU" i can't find any info on this, just found that there's a new version 3.3 but what is it?

AKU = Adaptation Kit Update, similar to "service pack" in desktop version of window$.

I have 'created' an function to uptade ours devices with RUU...........

2º install this wm6 rom... http://www.megaupload.com/pt/?d=5XRZP0U0 (i have put an OS of XB FUSION, and Radio rom and Extended rom of an wm5 rom,) i hope someone can put the extended rom of wm6 on an .nb format, to have the rom at 100% sucessfull!

Why to be so agressive ? I just say it's easy to make nk.nbf (same as WM5) from OS.nb I don't say another thing ...

I just replaced the RUU with Vista_RUU
It's now comaptible with vista >>> I just did HardSPL and worked

But since there is no cid unlock this roms cannot be used yet.
Don't mind trying these ROM but the question is don't we need some kind of CID/SPL unlocking tool before we can flash safely??

It appears to have a different architecture than the Touch. I couldn't even dump the ROM on my Touch Dual using the Touch method...let alone flash a ROM to it
Maybe with this asian rom we can enable FM RADIO since the japanese version has radio!!!!
Any official English ROM somewhere ?

Would the Kaiser dumping method work on the Touch Dual?
Its easy ...
1. open the exe file with winrar and extract the update tool with rom file.
2. open the nbh file with nbhtool
3. use tadzio's bigstorage tools on the windows.nb

Jupp, it´s german, because I´m a german too. And why don´t other peoples place a ROM? I don´t know. Maybe, I am the best cooker for german Iolite-ROMs in this time?
Okay, isn´t so, it´s so, that the Iolite in Germany is only a short time in stores. In a quarter of one year it maybe looks other.

I´ve a XDA Guide from O2. My ROM works only of XDA Guide´s without CID-unlock. I hope, a programming-guru writes a CID-unlocker in next time.

Up to now the HTC Iolite is only shipped by one company in Germany so far. That is "O2" and they call their slightly alternated phone "XDA Guide" but it is more or less still the same cellphone.

No, you can´t install ROMs from other devices, because the hardware of the devices are to different. The ROMs was exclusive made for the different devices.

I have some suggestion on rom development.
If any brothers have the skills on cooked rom. Would you please create a rom with wm6.1 instead of 6.5.
As 6.1 requires less ram and rom and also stable. Maybe we can have more rooms to make Mega faster.
