I am looking for cheap gps solition for my BA , i did simple search and i found compact flash gps cards cheaper than bluetooth or sdio cards , but i am not sure about these cards fit to BA , any ideas?

maybe a xda3 will have it
or you can get a SDIO or CF umts modem
Usefull to know where do you get the 3G (umts) SD Modem? and will it work like the 3g Data card I have in my laptop?

To my knowlege unfortunatley no..
the xda 1 only has a standard sd card slot and does not support s.d.i.o
you need an sdio slot to use and peripherals like bluetooth sd cards and wifi sd cards.
i may be wrong but thats what ive heard so far,
you can use sd card cameras because they only send data to the xda, they dont recieve it too, this is the basis behind sdio *sd, input/output*
bluetooth and wifi cards require to send data and recieve so it wouldnt work with a non sdio slot.. ;-(

I doubt it...
However, some manufacturers offer "sleeves" that turn a CF GPS into a bluetooth GPS (e.g. for Haicom: http://www.haicom.com.tw/hi_401bt.shtml ).

This is a miniSD sdio device, not a microSD... so it's not compatible with hermes.
Don't be confused because it provides a microSD hole so you can use GPS while having your data (maps?) on a microSD storage card.
you are right...the slot is microSD...but not the interface

I bought a MAGICSIM 3G Dual Sim-Adapter 26th-A and it doesn't fit. The little black rectangle on it (I think it's a processor) is too high. So it won't help to use adhesive plaster instead of the metal cover as shown here: http://www.magicsim.com/en/dual_sim.asp?new_id=26
