after updating to wm2003se my phone shows my cellphone provider as 42502 instead of the company name (cellcom). how can this be fixed?

ive just bought an xda 1 and have unlocked it however i canot use the wap or internet setting to connect, a msg there is no answer at the number dialed verify number and try again!! can anyone give me the number and explain how i set up the phone to send and recive e-mail and browse the web from the phone, sorry but im a newbe to the xda, cheers baz

Go to start - settings - Connections - add a new modem connection
Enter a name for your connection exp: Vodafone GPRS
Select modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
Next
Access Point Name: internet
Next
User Name web
Password web
Finish
Now it shown all work as long as your sim is activated by your service provider for GPRS.

Because I use my MDAII with a dual sim adapter (King of double card type MAI-E, search eBay) I would like to know for sure which SIM is active at any moment.
When I am in my home country the Operator name show does the job, but when roaming that is not reliable anymore.
:idea: I would like to see some kind of (customisable?) string in the Phone application instead of the (roaming) Operator name that identifies the active SIM instead of the current operator..
What could be used is the first number that is stored in the SIM under "Own Numbers".

When running Qtek images on my 8500, the network name for T-Mobile USA is displayed as "Get More...". When running the iMate image, the network name is displayed correctly. Has anyone else experienced this?

I used 12 numbers in 1 sim card. And when I used 4.0.0.5b rom, I found my current number can display on HTC home where the carrier name should display on.
Now I change the rom to wm5 and install HTC home plug on my phone,but the local number can not displayed and only show carrier name.
So I want to konw how can I do to show my local number like the rom--4.0.0.5b?

When I tried to run "PROGRAMME A" I got error, then onwards when ever I try to switch on SX56 (AT&T), I am getting some ascii chatacters and getting Upgrading... message.

Somehow the problem was solved and Can't I use SX56 in India?
I am getting a list of mobile service providers in "Auto Configuration" and even one mobile service provider from India is not there.
there are 2 models if wallaby
1 for the us market which is 900/1900
and one for the rest of the world which is 900/1800
depending on what model you have and what band is widely used where you live
you can use it
but you may have to manualy put in the grps settings and mss settings
