I tried to install with new rom version which downloaded from the stefan's recomended link, it give me error saying that "WARNING 001: POWER ADAPTER NOT PLUGGED IN" and Please plug the power adapter into your Pocket PC and exits out. But the plug was in the socket, i didn't understand why it says plug in the power adapter. Please let me know if any one encountered this type of error.
for more details on the main issue, please review below topic

Maybe your power adapter isn´t working correctly and had still enough power, so that it´s shown as connected......

i dont know to tell you the truth is the seriel cable cant supply power it's risky if not impossible to flash it
the usb and cradle can power a xda2 but i'm not sure the seriel cable can do it
no
Plugged my usb cord into my computer and it says to be plug into ac adapter cause usb is not sufficient enough to charge. It shows that it's charging but when I lock the screen and didn't even touch it with usb connected to the computer my battery just dies and its set to charge only.
Sound like your computer's USB port is screwed up and is not outputting enough current to charge the device.
If you have a powered USB hub handy, plug it into that, or try another USB port on your computer.
I'll see if that works just weird though since I was using the same port for my previous 3 phones and they would charge pretty fast but not this time.
whats odd is my gf just texted me and said that her cable isnt charging her phone at all. i'm going to have to go pick up her charger and stuff and test/return it.
Prob , you don't have the driver's installed .
My battery reading is really inconsistent was charger on a outlet said 28% rebooted then said 78% rebooted a couple of mins later and now it says 60%

This particular phone may need the entire 500mA of current that USB ports are supposed to capable of supplying. The error on the computer may be because when the phone connects, and tells the computer that it wants 500mA of current, one of three things happens:
1.) The computer says no and throws an error.
2.) The computer said yes, but when the phone actually tries to draw the current, the hardware of the computer can't provide it.
3.) The Amaze doesn't ask if it's okay to draw 500mA (to which the PC may respond no), and just starts drawing the current, causing a hardware fault on the computer.
Your previous phones may not have required as much current, therefore not causing any issues.
I don't know this for sure, but I've done some programming with USB drivers and I know that "handshake" when a device plugs in, does happen.
Happened to me to. Same thing with the notice to use wall charger. Dumb. All my other phones work with PC. Just not this one.
Just had this happen, except...
* I didn't get the "you should plug into a wall" message
* Using the USB of the computer seemed to *suck* power from the phone; anti-charging, if you will.
I've got a wallcharger on it now. Maybe tomorrow I'll try my USB3 port for it...
The USB3 didn't help...
what drivers do I need to install? My G2 charged just fine on this computer.
What I have going on now is an older USB "y" cable for an external hard drive; one side of the "y" is data + power, the other is just power. I've got the "just power" side of the "Y" plugged into a wall jack...charges fine now.

Guys, i found the solution, by trial and error...
forget about USB 3.0, drivers, micro/mini USb, app tweaks, AC usb charger etc.... You know what turned out to be the culprit ??
THE CABLE !
I realized that this charging issue happened only when using the aftermarket cable i bought from ebay, as an extra one to have on hand. While the backup cable was also OEM. (i could tell from the corn-plastic bag it came in...)
And all along it has worked fine for data transfer, sync etc, and also when charging it does in fact say it's charging... - only thing in actual it's draining.
So i downloaded the 'battery monitor widget' and kept a close eye on the mA number as i tried out different combinations of cables, stock and aftermarket along with stock and aftermarket AC chargers i had and all USB ports on my laptop.
With the cable from ebay mA was rather in negative using with all power sources, including USB.
With the stock cable from the box, it was a steady +200 to +350 on USB power, +400 to +700 on AC power.
Now the after market cable is also OEM, but it appears to be for another HTC phone, that the HTC Amaze 4G doesn't accept.
Also if your AC charger is model TC E250 it's only gonna show up as USB and not AC in battery status.
You need AC charger model TC U250 for the HTC Amaze 4G to be fired up.
There! That was what was wrong.
Hope this helps.
I've ordered a new S3 11 pin MHL cable for my Note 2 (stock, rooted), however when I try to plug in the HDMI cable nothing happens. The phone is charging but no image. I ran a logcat during the event and saw the following:
D/20:57:36.250 STATUSBAR-Clock( 2734)
onReceive() - ACTION_SCREEN_ON
E/20:57:36.245 SecTVOutService( 1934)
virtual void android::SecTVOutService::setHdmiStatus(uint32_t)::mSecHdmi.connect() fail
D/20:57:36.245 ( 1934)
bool android::SecHdmi::connect()::m_flagHWConnected() fail
D/20:57:36.245 SecTVOutService( 1934)
virtual void android::SecTVOutService::setHdmiStatus(uint32_t) HDMI cable status = 1
D/20:57:36.245 SecTVOutService( 1934)
virtual void android::SecTVOutService::setSuspendMode(uint32_t) TV suspend mode = 0
which makes think the phone is recognizing the HDMI cable but for some reason it is not able to output the image.. can any developer or experienced android guru help with this?
Tried with 3 different TVs, 3 usb cables and 2 HDMI cables. I need to decide if I have to return the cable or not within a few hours
Any ideas?
Could it be a faulty cable or should I reflash the stock ROM to try to fix the issue? Welcoming any suggestion at this point
Out of time and out of ideas.. going to try to reflash the latest stock firmware (
Flashing didn't work, feeling really stupid just talking to myself here.. can anyone point me to the appropriate section where I could get help?
Wish I had another S3/N2 to rule out my phone's HDMI Service being broken somehow.
Any other troubleshooting steps I can follow? Already tried leaving everything plugged in and restarting the phone, turning TV on/off.
btw I'm not getting the "HDMI cable connected" when plugging in the adapter, just "USB adapter connected" or something like that.
Tried with both the stock power adapter (says 1A on the adapter) and plugging it into the PC USB port as well, same result.
Also not working with my TF100's 1.2A charger, phone status shows charging 'USB' when going through the MHL adapter, and shows 'AC' when plugged in directly.
Hello, is there a script or a method where I can get my HTC One Max T6 to boot when plugged into the charger? The power connector is broken inside so I have no power or volume button functions. I am running CyanogenMod 12.1 and the phone is rooted, s-off and unlocked.. I know it can be done, because some ROMs I have used in the past caused the phone to boot when the charger is first plugged in. Thanks.
Sorry a bit confused. You mean the USB power connector on your phone is broken ("The power connector is broken inside") but you need to have the phone boot when a USB charger is plugged in the broken USB connector?
Anyway, if the problem is not having power and volume keys function, then I think there are some kernels which has "tap to power" function which you can turn on your phone by specific tapping pattern on the screen. Since I don't change kernel so don't have a link but just search this forum and you shall find some. One Max forum is not too big...
Though you need the USB to be functional enough to deliver power and connect to PC .

Thanks, I didn't make it clear, my power and vol buttons ribbon connector is broken internally, so I don't have those functions. The phone USB functions properly. I did have a ROM installed, some time ago, that used to boot the phone into recovery when I plugged in the charger through USB. Annoying at the time, for sure, but I need it now
Again, thanks for your help.
I believe the custom recovery/kernel or the bootloader determines what happens when you plug in the phone. So you would have to flash one that does that.
Hello. My tv was cycling on logo, so I found the firmware put it in into a blank usb drive and tried to flash it. There was a power failure and the tv turned off during the update. Now my tv dosen't start, red light on the sensor is present.
I tried holding power key, power key + volume+, still no luck.
I bought a "PL2303 USB To RS232 TTL Converter Adapter Module" on aliexpress, connected with a vga cable, plugged in the vga cable into the tv, and the other part into the laptop. Updated the drivers, configured KITTY but it still does not recognize the tv.
Is there any way how to revive it?

Thanks.
Look right firmware maybe you downloaded firmware for low or high resolution.
