Hi!
I try to find out, if it is possible to use the T-Mobile MDA as a SMS Wall.
I want to display new SMS on a Screen/Beamer.
Does anyone have such a program, which can
 1. read new SMS from the MDA
 2. send the SMS to PC via USB (in a TEXT file?)
 optional:
 3. show them on screen like a chat window.
I would be very happy if you can tell me how i can get the SMS from XDA to PC.
Or do you have a better solution?
Thanks a lot!

Try this...:
Jeyo Mobile Companion update 1.1
There is CHAT option...
During the past several months I've tried several WM6 ROMs - mostly PDAViet's. Currently I have the following:
ROM version: 7.7.7.7 WWE
ROM Date: 9/08/07
Radio version: 1_02.20.21
Protocol Version 4.1.13.9
ExtROM version: Mystrerious 1.0
The device is Imate's Jamin (Prophet G3). Since I started to use WM6, I am often having the problem when I cannot receive the incoming calls from time to time - my friends have to leave the voice messages in my mailbox even when my phone is on and the cell coverage is great. It seems that it is related to GPRS activity - I have GPRS/EDGE internet connection always on and I have my email synchronized with an Exchange server over the air. What is even worse, I have no way of knowing if someone has called me - even if they leave a voice message I am getting no notification on the PDA. I started to call my own cell number often trying to understand the pattern and I noticed that when I cannot get through, I can disable the GPRS and after that the call gets through.
I don't remember having such problems with original WM5 ROM when I purchased my Prophet, so I assume it is related to WM6.
As I said, I tried different ROMs and different RadioROMs (now I rolled back to the original RadioROM originally provided by Imate, since I saw no improvement with newer RadioROMs).
I have T-Mobile USA mobile service with Total Internet plan if it makes any difference...
The questions:
is anyone else experiencing problems like this? any workarounds?
is phone line is supposed to work simultaneously with GPRS? Could it be caused by a difference between [GPRS simply connected and no internet activity] and [GPRS connected and sending/receiving data]?
could it be related to the settings of activesync (how often it syncs with Exchange or be continuously connected)?
Any help is greatly appreciated...
Incase there is any data transfer happening at the time of the call coming in (pls note even while polling there is some data being transfered) the call will not go thru.
I have been using WM6 roms for the past six months... from my signature you can see how many i have treid, in each of the roms.. I also use push mail, hence I am always connected thru edge....I get phone calls even when connected to GPRS.. however if there is any data transfer happening at that point in time the call goes into my voice mail.
i think it is problem of your service provider, try another radio rom?
I am having the same problem, any solutions?
It happens to my device roughly once a month, and my GPRS is always off. So IMHO it is related to WM6. It did not happened on WM5.
My gprs (edge) connection is always on and I have the same problems on the radio rom 2.41.21. Try to use the radio 2.61.21 - no problems with incoming calls...
Korand, thanks for the suggestion. I actually tried 2.61.21 a couple of months ago - it didn't fix this problem
For now, I've changed my Activesync settings so that it will sync data via GPRS every 30 mins (before it was "stay connected all the time") - hopefully it will decrease the probability of getting the incoming call at the time of data transfer.

lol... this is no problem.. this is wht is supposd to happen on GSm.. because it works on a single FM frequency n not a band like CDMA or TDMA.. this is normal.. its jus like whne ur using ur dialup internet n ur phone line gets busy.. soo no solution unless u switch to TDMA
hahahha, you don't know what are you talking about, what FM frequency, this is not Benefon Delta lol

No calls reception - no calls outgoing
I have a TYTNII who suddently has the same problem of incoming calls directly to mailbox, for each calls, and also I can't call anymore.
Does anyone solve this problem?
With the Sim card in my Qtek 8300 WM5 I don't have the problem.
HTC support say they don't know this problem and ask to make a hard reset...
ROM 1.56.406.5 (30/8/2007)

seems then its a common problem since tytnII has it may be there is something written in registry to divert call to voicemail while data traffic is going ON to avoid bad colliding accidents of voice and data packets on the same highway
to avoid dirty signals..thats all..
btw,all i know is that GPRS+receive calls = bandwidth bottleneck...see? how "cheap" the GSM is
so,the solution is to disable one of them...
Hello.
I'm using [WM6.1] WM6.1 Build 5.2.19202 AKU 1.0.0 by pArtizAn on my qtek 8500 but I have some qquestions.
My bt pairs with other devices, internet sharing is ok, but I can't beam anything, or no one else can send me anything via bt either - the other phones report an error.
Can anyone help?
Another thing is - I can't synchronise contact with active sync - it says I need to install outlook on the phone. I'ma a total newbie here, so can anyone link to an outlook app I can download and install, or can you show me any other way to backup my contacts??
Are the contacts shown under "contacts" the same as my sim contacts in sim manager? It seems they're not.
Is there a piece of software for manaing contacts, messages - like a pc suite for nokias or se's?
for the synchronise problem i dono how to solve it....
i also 1 2 noe how to sync with bluetooth, any 1 who noe please tell me also~
but due to bluetooth receiving problem, follow to step below to active de "allow Beam":
go setting-> connection-> Beam-> tick or check the "Receive incoming Beams" den now u can receive file from others~
Hi,
I have assigned speed dial codes to a bunch of mobile numbers. Starting from 2-9. If I press and hold key 5, it doesn't call the number it is assigned to. All other numbers works. All numbers are US numbers with the format 1(xxx) xxx-xxxx, calling them directly via contacts works fine.
Currently my device runs on Pampooh's Windows Mobile® 6.1 Standard CE OS 5.2.20282 Build 20282.1.3.6 (English Only) v1.05b ROM.
I had the same issue even when I was running earlier version of WM6.1 ROM by Erofich.
I remember that it used to work.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JSenthil
Sounds like a hardware problem to me. I have no limitations on any particular number acting as a speed dial.
I can actually use the key 5 for all other purposes, for instance I can, dial numbers, access address book and type messages as well. So it can't be a hardware issue. I wonder if the cooked ROM's have anything to do with it. I have to mention that I like this ROM very much though, the phone is much more usable now.
New IMPROVED CABS HERE

WM6.5 and now WM6.1

Tested and flying on my HD, HD2, Omnia II, Glofiish M700, Touch Pro2[Rhodium], BlueAngel[PDA2K].
This time i have made single cab[sipConfig.cab] with Schap`s voip setup inbuilt. Hopefully 3g option will work with this cab as i have changed few settings. Tweaked is home screen item selection[select thru Available and selected to make cellular call or sip/voip call{one have to use classic home screen to do this}]. This cab is GSM codec based unlike previous cabs hence very low bandwidth is required to place calls, Can be used to make calls over GPRS but not sure. Quality of calls is .99/1 and no dropouts and one can call as long as credit available in account. What else, as this cab will integrate into phone system, it is very easy to use with addressbook, etc. I have attached audioswitch out file which if installed comes into action[can hear from earpiece] 13 seconds after phone window is active on screen, doesn`t matter calling or recieving. I have also attached SRS file just in case if someone hear less/low volume from earpiece just follow the instructions attached. Also attaced is Wifi always on file which some HD2 users need. Also 5060 port has been enabled in these cabs but you may need to forward 5060UDP port in your router for possible two way communication. Hopefully you guys like this cab, Please leave comments and suggestions. Thanks
Credits to developers.
*Most of the bugs has been fixed discussced in previous cabs.
Previous Cabs can be found here

*DO NOT INSTALL WM6.1 CABS ON WM6.5 OS AND VISE VERSA*
*AudioSwitch.cab/WifiNoStandby.CAB/Tested SRS.rar cabs are OPTIONAL and can be installed on both WM6.1 and WM6.5 OS*
Will you eventually release a dialplan supported version? I know this is a nitpick but I really use that file alot.
Yes, working on it. But will take time as hard to get time off. Thanks
Any reason why I can't install this...
Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate.
try installing remove certificate or first cab in Tested SRS.rar attached to get rid of this warning. are you installing on fresh OS. Thanks
Sorry, I'm still a noob at this. The Blackberry phones can make free calls via WiFi on T-Mobile when overseas. Will this program make the HD2 work the same way, by using minutes off my T-Mobile plan? Or do I have to put a cash balance into a 3rd party provider?

I think you are slightly confusing things, with voip you can make calls from anywhere as long as you have internet access. Now the free bit is different, you must have a voip provider and their fees may vary. Now if tmobile is giving away voip subscriptions with their wireless then I need to find out about that, but I have never heard of it!
@dhillonbros - Much love for working on this!
So is this just an integration software like http://www.portsip.com/ to make internet calling seamless on the HD2?

No, I'm not sure. That's just what it looks like. There's a whole thread for it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508715.
I tried this on my HD2 but couldn't get it to work... I got errors in cprog.exe and gwes.exe on startup that I've never had before. When I tried to make calls it just went through the cell network or said "phone not connected" if I turned it off. The problem might be that I wasn't sure how to correctly register to my voip provider. Anyway, I didn't want to mess around with it and because of the cprog/gwes errors tried to uninstall - but uninstall didn't work.
Maybe I'll try again later. Does a proxy server have to be put in the settings, or is that for only certain setups? Would it usually be the same as the registrar server?
I installed todat without any errors. T-Mobile UK. The phone picks up my SIP landline service number but in the today screen after the no. it states no service.
I also appear to have two copies of the same software listed in my programs one called SetupVOIP the other sipConfig. Both on clicking setupvoip.exe
the dialer option page is blank.
looking forward to dumping fring but need a wee bit of help to get over the last hurdle.
this build is working better than older version on my Tilt. The issues I have are the dial plan, but I fixed that by editing the ipdialplan.xml file and removing all the number nines in it.
Second issue is that it looses registration after a while. I'm using AT&T 3G. Later on it is registered again but on and off throughout the day.
Installation ok but no voip on HD2
Hello,
The instalation is gonna well, but i have only the configuration tool, no additional items in today screen or phone menu, how can i switch between voip and standard calls?
br
nobisz
The configuration tool is used to set when your call will go through voip ("never", "whenever available", ...). From there it works transparently. For example, if you set to "whenever available" all calls will go through VOIP if it is able to register to the VOIP service, otherwise they will go through your cell network.
in the configuration tool, should I select TCP or UDP? I am using 3G

Mines flying on HD2, same as registrar server.
In Polish version of WM 6.5 you shall add "telefon" in command.txt file (Program Files/audioswitch) for the AudioSwitch to work....
