Widcomm for XDA II - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Can anybody provide me the Widcomm BT-Stack for my XDA II. I would prefer the german version, but it is also the englich ohne possible.
I found some threats here about this matter, but the doenload-links are most not active.
Is it also possible to remove the MS-Stack afer installing the new one.
Many thanks

Upgrading to XDA II - is PocketPC 2002 software compatible?

I'm thinking of upgrading from XDA I to XDA II. I have a lot of software and I'm wondering will it work under PocketPC 2003? Has anybody come across compatiblity issues?

my hp48 calc emulator dident work any more
but then the people behind the project made a new versions
before i could start messing with the source myself
so some applications needed to be upgraded
but most worked ok

XDA III - o2 Rumours from o2 source

Following all the speculation over the HTC MDA III, my source at o2 has stated that no new plans are sanctioned to release this version in the UK this year. They are exploring the opportuntites to integrate 3G and wifi into the new XDA III in 2005, but no new version before then. Phew. Also mentioned that a new Op system upgrade would be available later this year for XDA II, blackberry stack etc. 8)
Wow! If all you heard is true then it sound like good news for us.
As when I heard of the MDA III, I don't really quite like the design and look of the device as it is basically a slight change in the layout from the XDA II with a keypad attached to it, that's all.
Bryson, thank you for sharing the info. you had.
Did your source at o2 also mention about whether the new ROM will include some WM2003 Second Edition like landscape mode?
I am really interested in it if I can work with my Excel in landscape mode without soft reset my machine.
hi chris,
how today you put your xda 2 in landscape mode ? (waiting WM SE)
which software are you using ?
thanks a lot

But requires a soft reset after each change :-(
no news on the landscape mode, sorry , i suspect though that it will, as enough 3rd party solutions out there not to follow the trend i guess!

Dear,
Follow my link to original developers of WM2003SE here http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=14373
HTH
Man, I am so insecure of which rom to use after all the zillion editions that surface each day, that I am afraid of using a buggy one. Better wait for a stable confirmed image, I guess.
Why not combine your own?
I use 2.06WWE (mysteryman) as found in the other posts, kept it as is, only exchanging the radio stack to 1.18 (picked up from 2.02)
I find it pretty stable, only has some trouble getting avantgo to work properly...
Problem of combining is that i don't have time to get that much into it, i'm afraid. My normal working hours are so hard that i hardly have time to sleep, so I'd like to get a working edition that is just plug'n'play as it's so nicely put by M$
Can you post your setupfile ?
If you dont have enough time, dont upgrade. Sounds like your to busy to worry about things like phones. Use 2 cups and some string instead. ROM upgrade your carrier pigeon, they are also more reliable.
I'd recommend you wait until a proper upgrade comes out from your phone provider.
The upgrades (especically SIN v3.5) do work well and don't take a whole load of time to install, but you can have problems.
I guess the questions should be, is there a Rom Kitchen
version of WM2003SE?
The Kitchens are the best way to cook up a custom rom with or without your desired ingredients.
Also, is there an XDA I version of WM2003SE?
I just upgraded and it work like dream! I also got the widcomm 1.4.x to work perfectly with my superduper version which was bundled with my norwegian BT dongle. No problem with that "license" message either. Anyone need that package, let me know and I can post it.
Also, syncing with Async using BT works superb too.
NB! My stringphone is already upgraded ;-)
widcomm issue

Er, people. When you say that Widcomm software is installed and working for you, can you also post what type of Bluetooth dongle/USB adapter you are using?
I think the license issue arises from the fact that Widcomm forced each BT dongle/USB adapter vendor to hardcode the device ID into a btsec.dll file issued with the Widcomm BT installation files.
If you have the software from someone, and you are using the same type of BT dongle/USB adapter as that guy, then you are in luck, coz the license is the same.
I had 2 dongles, one a generic CSR device and another Belkin one. Both comes with their version of Widcomm software, and the software wouldn't cross-interact with both devices because of the license issue.
What a DIM comm idea!

XDA IIS Upgrading

i am new to the xda mobiles but recently bought a second hand XDA IIS which by default has Win 2003 Mobile...
I have come across a number of WM5 Mobile packages but am unsure about which is the correct one to use to upgrade my unit....
Also some Microsoft forums say that hardware devices running WM2003 cannot be upgraded to WM5 but this site seems to point towards that it is possible....
Can anyone point me at the correct WM5/Boot version packages etc and also explain how the upgrade does work on this hardware when Microsoft forums say otherwise??? Is it a case of hit and miss when upgrading (i read that a dodgy upgrade could make the hardware inoperable)
the one for blue angel which have it's own forum
look there
