I am looking for a new bluetooth handsfree for my XDA IIs (I bought it in Indonesia), so this should be the asian rom version one.
I have got jabra bt110, which is my first bluetooth handsfree (I dont want to spend too much for my first bt handsfree gadget).
In my opinion, when it works, it is very good.
however, somehow, it doesnt work well with my IIs.
Basically the IIs has to be held closely to the bluetooth in order to work properly i.e about 30 cm distance is max.
When it is more than 30 cm, I can still hear the other person talking, however, they cannot hear me for at all.. it rattles so bad...
I guess this makes having the bluetooth handsfree useless, since whenever I want to use it, I have to maintain the 30 cm distance...
Is it my XDA version or its just not compatible, I dont know...
1. Does anyone have experienced similar thing?
2. Anyone have any suggestion on a good bt handsfree that will work perfectly for IIs??
ROM Version: 1.31.00 WWE
ROM Date: 12/13/04
Radio Version: 1.02.00
Protocol Version: 1337.32
ExtROM Version: 1.31.920 WWE
I know I have not upgraded my rom version to newer one, since I couldnt be bothered re-install everything now... and the fact that A LOT of ppl tried to upgrade and ended up having a "stuffed up" IIs.
Please help

Hi,
When you dial anyone and their phone is engaged, does your xda just cut off, with a faint blip? There is no "beep beep beeep" engaged tone.
Im on o2 Uk network. Is this a bug, setting on my phone? Its quite annoying
strange, keeping getting logged off when i post. above is from me.
On posts like the above, it would be really helpful to know the Radio version and ROM version you're using.
Yeah I get that as well
Radio Version: 4.08
ROM Version: 3.14.13
Primed
Perhaps you could look at upgrading to a more recent version of the ROM & Radio.
The current release available on the o2 web site is quite stable, the versions are ROM 3.17.03 & Radio Ver 4.21
Print the instructions and follow them to the letter & all will be fine. I've done this 4 times on various units;

Good luck
RUU 3.17.03
I wonder if that will work with RSU 3.23.01?
And what are the differences compared to RUU 3.16.52?

Thanx!
If only I had an extra Qtek 1010 to test new stuff on... I guess I'd better ask my boss if he feels like buying me one...
:?
Happens on all the US phones with all ROM versions. Just cuts off the connection if the called line is busy.
Hi rom: 3.14.13
radio vers: 4.16
protocol vers: 32s54
This is the April update to the ROM from the o2 Uk website. Havent applied latest ROm update.
However, as others have mentioned the BUSY tone doesnt sound, just cuts off.
Same thing here, when I cal someone that's busy talking on their line, I get this di-di-da sound and the phone hangs up. Also had some funnies when trying to make calls when hearing volume on phone accidentally was set to zero, but that's another story. (don't try that..)

Hello everybody.
As this is my first post here, I want to thank all of you for the great source of inspiration this site gives!
After reading a lot about newer ROM Versions here, I am a bit confused what I can / should flash my MDA2 to.
The reason for my desire to change my software version is, that I'm unlucky with the bad Bluetooth support my current Radio Stack offers.
The Bluetooth Tools are no real answer, neither - because it sucks my battery out in the worst kind of way. (Bluetooth always activating after every call I make, having to deactivate Bluetooth manually, other weird dysfunctional diseases like irresponsive behaviour
I read here, that there is currently no 1.72 ROM available for german devices. So, to specify my question, what newer version then 1.60.07 can I upgrade my MDA 2 to - and, will it bring sort of releave to my Bluetooth pains?
Many thx in advance,
Andy.
EDIT:
I just installed the 1.72 ROM and got rid of my Bluetooth probs. Unfornatunately, my MDA2 speaks English with me now (suprise, suprise *lol*).
Not that I had a problem with that, but it would be nicer if there was a way to only use the Radio Stack from 1.72 in conjunction with the old T-Mobile 1.60.07 ROM.
Is there anyone who can comment on that?
Andy.

I noticed that Bluetooth was listed as a fix in the new rom. That's actually a problem I've been having. I have a Garmin GPS with Bluetooth that I use when I'm driving (speakerphone). I loved it with my old 8125, but I just got the mogul and speaker volume has been so low with it. Has anybody else experience this problem? What are the thoughts on bluetooth with the new rom for users who have tried it?
I had the same Bluetooth problems on older ROMs, but it works great on the unofficial 6.0 and 6.1 ROMs. I expect it to work as well, if not better on the official version.
Well, I tried it out on my way to work today. It was only my voicemail, but it sounded much better. Hopefully that will be the case when I get a phone call.
Well, when I just got Mogul and bought BT prepped car (never used BT before), I thought BT sucked reaaaly bad, since EVERYONE complained if I called from my car. Now, since unofficial ROMs, I get occasional complain here and there, but it is obvously tolearble to most of people I call. I also reduced volume on BT in my car after upgrade, so I think it should solve the problem.
I think part of it was that I was upgrading from 2.17 (not sure what has come since). But, it does seem pretty good now.
I am happy user of AP3.0. The only element of my Advantage that could do with improvement is the Bluetooth - which I think Pawel addressed in AP4.0. However, that particular route to upgrade is awaiting Pawel's release by the fiends in the Polaris forum that have been holding him hostage for such a long time.
Search as I have, I cannot find any other ROM that has tried to port the Widcomm stack into the Advantage. Can anyone let me know if they are looking in to this?
Thanks
Robert
I was tired of the bluetooth in HTC stock WM6 rom. I didn't work with my LG HBM-700 at all because bluetooth on my X7500 turned itself off every now and then. I also had lot of problems with a Jabra handsfree.
On Michy 1.88 it is a lot better, but I have experienced a few problems there too. Bluetooth turned itself off a few times the first day after I installed this rom, but that could be me. But one night after a weeks usage bluetooth turned itself off.
I wonder how irus 0mb rom works. I noticed it is using another bluetooth stack and seems to be more battery friendly for bluetooth devices. Any experience on this?

I'm in the same boat. I'm using a Sony HBH-DS220 Headset and the only ROMs that use to work well with it are AP4.0 and AP5 Beta. In the last months alone I've gone through no less than 6 - 7 different ROMS from IRUS Vanilla to Michy 5.1 with the same or similar results. I'm hoping that Michy will have a look at this change the stack in his next ROM.

What are the problems you are having? I am using a Sony DRC-BT15 - similar to your DS220s as well as a HBM-700 Styli with no trouble on Michy 4.1 (and 4.0).
Mrsums,
are you absolutely SURE that PK4 have Widcomm stack?
If i remember correctly, it also have the usual MS stack. Too lazy to reflash though to confirm.
