Needed: T-Mobile PPC Phone Edition Motherboard - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

I've screwed up the multi-jacks on two separate motherboards now by using the HK sync cable from eBay. It just puts too much stress on the jack. Today I found a real sync cable at a flea market but I seem to have permanently fried the current motherboard because no matter how carefully I reattach it, I get a constant red light from the R/O/G led.
So I need a T-Mobile motherboard (or any motherboard that will work with a Cingular US connection, if there is one). Does anyone in the US have one to sell me? I have a spare battery/back cover component that should work fine or a Nokia NGage to trade or can pay cash.
Help me out here, don't know if I can wait for another broken screen unit to turn up on eBay at a reasonable price. Thanks!

Just post this.

If the Nokia NGage would work with T-Mobile and the teenage I know
wanted it then that could be a deal.

Got a cradle!

I got my K-Jam cradle today. It's the same one that Boxwave are selling. Mine came from gpsforless.co.uk and arrived two days after ordering.
It's a little to upright for my liking and has got a largish footprint but otherwise it's fine. No psu included but I think it will work with a powere
usb hub.
Is it this one? http://www.gpsforless.co.uk/product_details.php?id=2796

Can you design it with a spare battery charging slot?
I'll pay a premium for that.
It's hard to believe that no after market designer has released one for the wizard yet. You can pretty much find spare battery charging cradles for any other model.
§tatic
No, I can't %)
It's one thing to design a basic shape of the older, the placement of a mini USB plugin slot, add a little 2.5mm male to 3.5mm female jack - it's another entirely to add a charging circuit - I wouldn't even know where to begin with that :>
I do agree that I wish somebody would come out with one - but I'm not sure it'll happen. Typically the market for these kinds of accessories is saturated within 2 months of delivery of the device - after that, the accessories need to be in a state of 'mass production', and the designers need to get in gear for design of accessories for the next generation of devices.
I saw the expansys homepage have both normal craddles like that from gpsforless and also "liedown" cradleswhere you can use keyboard while charging. However, havent seen any craddle with faster charging (extra power).
Cradle for charging spare battery
Hi
Anyone found a 'Wizzard' Cradle for charging spare battery yet?, then please link to store
I'd recommened against getting the cradle from GPSforless. I had to return mine because windows saw my Wizard as an unrecognized USB device. They gave me a full refund, but just a note incase you're thinking of getting one.
Try this one.

Speaking of cradles...
Anyone check out the music dock yet?
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/9070.htm
I'm looking to order one but I need some reviews. They don't sell them in the states as you see it's got British pound prices all over it. The manufacturer: Brando is in Hong Kong, and their site looks rather sketchy...

Someone give me a heads up.
I bought the one from Brando a month ago, its really good.
I had no problem ordering from Sweden, delivery was maybe a week after order.
I can reccomend it.

I brought this a few weeks ago. I cant recommend it. Sound quality is awful. It buzes when recharging & there is only an option of USB or main recharging - I was rather hoping to keep it pugged into mains and PC so it would stay charged when PC is off.
Cradle
Hi all anyone found the cradle with spare battery charger yet?
I really would like one.

Bluetooth/Wifi Cable

Hi,
Im from UK and need a new Bluetooth/Wifi Cable. I found ONE(!) on ebay for a little over £10 shipped, but its going to take over 2 weeks and I cant really wait that long!
Instead I bought a u.fl cable which I presumed would work but it turns out that its a fraction too big. Does anyone know the actual connector which is used on those antennas? Or does anyone know a place in the UK where I can get this cable before the weekend?
Many Thanks!
Only in UK could be found Wi-Fi or Bluetooth Cable))
Well got a S500i antenna. Connectors + Cable are a TINY bit bigger, but will just about squeeze in. Would recommend getting original HTC lead, but if desperate like me, the S500i cable works!
You must be use Motorola L7,instead...

Where do I find a replacement board for Sprint Touch Pro?

My Touch Pro (HTC Raphael) is acting up, the screen continuously jumps or goes completely black, the digitizer doesn't respond right, and the power button doesn't work. The navigation control doesn't work right either.

I found out where the problem came from, it's from the socket on where the flex cable from the screen part of the TP connets to the motherboard. if anyone knows where i can get a replacement mother board please let me know!
I attached some pictures with the board and the jumpy screen.
why replace board if you can replace phone?
I had similar problems a couple weeks ago, on a TP that is more than 1 yr old - local Sprint store told me to get it replaced under the Total Equipment insurance plan I have, but that would be $100 ... called Sprint customer service, they symptom-diagnosed it as loose/failing cable, so they swapped it out as a manufacturer defect, I had a replacement phone in 2 days, with return mailer included. On the phone maybe 20 minutes total.
Flex Cable is bad
The flex cable is bad. PM me and I'l explain how to fix.

[Q] Defective charging port

Hello everyone. So I finally got my HTC Flyer and...the charging port is defective. I am beyond angry right now. I bought this off of eBay and currently am in the process of sending this unit back to the seller. (Well I messaged the seller about it). The bad thing is...I live outside of the US and paid extra to have this forwarded to me. Therefore I have to pay to forward this back to the US (this is where it's really pricey). :/ I am soo bombed right now. I do not want to try to fix this by buying the replacement part because that's expensive and I shouldn't have to do so since I now got this tablet. When I got the device (today) I noticed that the bottom of the device looked as though someone (previous owner) tried to open it. I ignored it though as everything else looked fine. Now I realized why it was like that.
Anyway, sorry for the rant. I am writing to find out if all HTC Flyers eventually have this problem. I do not want to get another one to find out the same problem exists. *sigh* I am so saddened by this because even if I do get an exchange, I am losing out with the shipping costs (fee to send device back to the US and then other device back to me) and my money is already low. Any advice on dealing with the situation would be appreciated.
Happened to my View. Probably the charging port connector chip got pushed back. If you are willing to open it (which is pretty simple 4 torx screws) all you have to do is pop the charge port chip back in. Test it. If its good put it together.
If not wait for other people advice about repair from HTC .
I called HTC. They said it would cost me about $290 or something. I can't remember exactly but but it was expensive (more than I even paid for the thing so that made no sense at all). They said that piece was attached to the motherboard so that's why it was that costly. I don't think that's even true since i saw the part selling for like $35. The eBay seller has a 30 day warranty so I'm going to use that to get my money back.
With my time with the Flyer, I really liked it a lot! the device feels strong and its really responsive. I want to get another one but I'm afraid the pins break on the other one too. I can't keep losing money on these shipping costs. Tbh, I'm surprised these devices would have such a flaw since they were at one point more costly than an iPad. I figured HTC was better than that.
@j510. The last pin of the charging port completely broke so that option is out. Its like 60% charged and I'm resisting using it because I can't charge it after it's dead. I love this thing ao much though. I want to explore it but I can't.
To anyone, is this a common fault of the device? It seems as though it is (from reading past forums). If it is, I may have to pass on this type of device which truly is sad since I bought it particularly for the pen functionality which few tablets have.
Uh...anyone? I'm sure this issue of defective charging ports has affected many.
I have a flyer and it's about a year old, got it at Best Buy. I have never had a problem with the charging port. Maybe someone put it in backwards when trying to charge the tab.

Have you tried a regular charger upside down? Just checking since its new to you. Micro usb works as well.

I tried the same USB cable that works with my Samsung phone. It did work (but I had to wiggle it a lot to get any charge). However, that was when the bent pin was there. It completely broke off so I am sure it's not the cable that's preventing the Flyer to charge. The seller is offering a full refund. I am only mad because of the shipping costs I have to pay and the time required to return the item.

Phone turns off when connecting charger

Now I had a problem before that my phone would think It was charging. I read around and found out how to fix it. By using a needle and pushing the usb connector head up. Well It worked , since it didn't show usb charging anymore. But now whenever I plug my usb into the phone connector ,it turns off. And won't turn on unless I take out the battery. I've tried two different usb cables and nothing.
Now I'm pretty sure I messed up by trying to fix it. Now I'm wondering how much it costs to replace the usb connector? My problem is that i'm in Sri Lanka and i'm not sure if they have the parts for it. I know I can order online but my mom isn't very keen on it.
Any advice would be great
You don't just replace the connecter, your replace the board as well. You can buy the parts on eBay/elsewhere online cheaply & do it yourself. KeithRoss39 has a guide on doing this in the General section, search for it; has all the info you need.

Problem is buy it from online is out my option as my mom has no credit card that is accepted over seas and my dad isn't in the country. COuld there be a chance ,that these replacements could be sold in shops?
Ask local mobile repair shops, that would be the only place you'd get one from. I mean, we're talking about specialised electronic components, not like you can buy this stuff at a supermarket. Though chances are they'd insist on doing the replacement for you & which means paying for labour on top which makes replacing a ~US$15 part a $50 (or more) job.
Edit - You can link a bank account to a PayPal account, you don't necessarily need a credit card.
