Was given a Siemens sx56, with mobile 2002 on it. Went to upgrade it to mobile 2003, I was following direction. It said complete and to turn it off for 60 sec and then turn it on again, so I did that and when it came back on, it booted to the first screen and froze there. It will not turn off. Help
Flash it again
This time use a sd card to flash it search for flashing with sd card on the wiki pages and you will find instructions on how to do it

Hiya All,
I tried to upgrade my xda 2 with the new ROM upgrade (Xda_II_Upgrade_v16050.exe) and now its dead. I connect my XDA2 to my PC, double clicked on the EXE and followed the prompts. I then had to go out and came back to an error on the screen which I can not remember what it is. Since then the XDA2 will not boot, only coming up with the boot screen saying "serial V1.06" and when placed in the cradle "USB V1.06"

I got an image from a spare XDA2 and placed on a SD card but can not get it to load in to the dead XDA, it comes up with the following msg "sections=1 not allow update"
I have tried to re do the upgrade but can not talk to the XDA, have I missed a step or is there a configuration in the XDA that has changed some how....
I have also search the posts here and found problems close to mine and have tried them too, I do not know what the ROM version was before I tried to Upgrade but I do know it was older..I did check.
from what I have readed if I can get the SD card upgrade to work then I can re do the upgrade.

I have the same problem.
My laptop hibernates during XDA upgrade. My XDA2 gone into bootloader mode and stops there.
I've tried link from pdamobiz - with, at least, "not allow update" screen.
any idea's ???
Oh boy, some people have all the luck. I have a QTEK 1010 and I was upgrading the ROM which seemd to go fine, the display warned me not to disconnect etc etc.. Then we had a powercut! The main PC went dead and the 1010 froze on the updating screen ('this may take 5 minutes..). Now I can't boot. I can boot the diagnostic but no full boot and to crown it all the PC can't recognise the device. The boot goes to a corrupted screen which used to inform me not to remove from cradle.
Can anybody help? I'm not sure about the terms used here, what is a 'hard reset' and how is it done? Would that help or am I stuffed?

Ok, well I trawled through the forum and found a way of booting from a card. It seems to be fine now, back to its old self. Great!!
Hi I have loaded 6.5 on my hermes
It worked great till I put a SIM card in whereupon it froze in the 6.5 screen and goes no further.
I can get it into bootloader screen but it wont load a new rom or anything much else - when you put a new rom in renamed hermimg.nbh it reads it for 30 secs and goes back to the bootloader
Active synch doesnt recognise it with usb turned on or off
Please advise what Im doing wrong?

Have you tried taking the SIM out and then approaching the reflashing process?

Yes I took the SIM card out and tried it again - no help
It starts to reflash - then stops and boots back into the start up screen and locks up again
still trying lots of things from here but no luck yet- Any thoughts?

My O2 Atom can not into bootloader and do not work at all, when turned on, only until the starting logo only.
I've tried to Semi-Brick Atom, but still can not.

DEAD.. but only for awhile
this happened when I tried to flash this Bajok ROM.
I'm not new to flashing, but that kinda make me 'a little' careless this time.
I transferred the .dio file using active sync explorer while doing other stuff with my laptop.. soon after, I see that the file transfer is done, cause the window is closed. As usual, I do the rec button + reset ritual and flashed away..
I again continued my other works and got mesmerized in it for a moment or two.
Half an hour later I realized that my atom has been showing bootscreen for quite some time..
My first failed flash! Well, I thought, this is it...
Just to make sure, I pulled out the battery, put it back again and reboot.. still the same stuckness... Then, I figured that since this was caused by ROm flashing failure, why dont check the .dio file? So I did. I pulled out the memory card, put it in a card reader and explore it.. I notice that the .dio file is only 18 megs.. whatta..? The original .dio is like 70 megs, so it must had been transferred it incomplete.
So with high hope, I retrasferred the file, this time completely.
I inserted again the battery and repeated the rec button + reset ritual..
Boot loader appeared and flashed away like a charm!

Hi, I am new here and need some help. I got a second hand factory reset HTC HD2 today and my friend suggested the following to install andriod on the phone.
it was on the talkandriod.com website
I've followed the instructions on the screen and uploaded the files to the SD card and tried to run the install and it has crashed the phone. I left it for 10 minutes and still nothing. It did start the writing about jumping kernal....
That's as far as it got, so I remove the battery to reboot it and now I can't even turn it on.
HELP!
