Hello can anyone tell me if the phone cable connection is a micro USB or what it is?
P-O
No, the StarTrek unfortunately uses a proprietary connector for charging, data, and audio.
Thank you for the info.
- They are hard to find ( in Sweden), so I have to continue my search.
P-O

There is a thread about this already. It has a listings of all the USB cables that would extend it.
I personally use the one from Monoprice linked in that thread and it works without any problems. I don't see why that cable wouldn't work though.

30 pin to Micro USB

Curious to find out if this adapter would work on the p6800.. It is said to work with p1000, but i am not sure if it will work with the p6800..
I always have a micro usb cable around for my Galaxy Nexus.. If this works i can leave the proprietary Samsung 30 pin cable home and just carry this small adapter.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gala...#ht_1561wt_802
Update - The item is no longer on eBay....
I was wondering... We get this 30-pin male to usb male connector... can we use a usb-male to usb-female connector instead of a direct 30-pin to female connector?!
I bought one of these for my 7.7 and it works fine. It ONLY charges. It cannot be used for data.
Search ebay for "Micro USB Laden Dock Adapter" to get another version of the 30 Pin to micro USB Connector. But again: only charging - no transfer

I got one of these. works great for charging through any micro usb charger, even my usb car charger with a micro usb cable plugged into it.
i got one to try then after i made sure it worked ordered 3 more. home, car, office etc etc

I ordered a few of these to work with my older GTs (original, 7 Plus). They've all worked fine with each. I use them with a retractable usb to micro usb cable to lessen the amount of chargers/cables/portable batteries i need to carry (one set will serve my phone and my tablet and just swap out the ends.)
Both work for me also. USB and uSD. Data transfer and video. Haven't tried charging though. Got mine on eBay. Keep an eye out. They'll return I'll bet.
OEM not working on my P1010

This looks promising

Great USB downloads from Nikon 3000 and Garmin Forerunner

Just returned from vacation with only my GN2 & thanks to its excellent USB connectivity did not miss my laptop. Using a Micro USB to USB 2.0 adapter (T & S Electronics Micro OTG Cable from Amazon) I was able to view and download photos taken with my Nikon D3000 and download workouts on my Garmin Forerunner 305. It also allowed me to charge the Forerunner so I won’t need an AC adapter for my next trip.
The Garmin required an app – Uploader for Garmin – which is free to try to upload activities, but you can only explore the most recent one. It costs $6.50 for full functionality.
This trip reinforced just what an amazing device this phone is!

Question Not getting USB 3.1 transfer speed on the provided cable

I tested out the USB 3.1 transfer speed of my 9r with my laptop. I'm getting barely 30 MB write to the phone. Considering it has support for USB 3.1 and UFS is this expected? Has anyone else tested this out?
First image is copy from phone and second is copy to phone.
Check USB settings in Developer options.
Try another port. Try another cable.
If a Windows machine, Check Event Viewer for error messages.
Scan Hardware Manager for warnings.
Scan for latest driver or try rolling it back.
Don't forget the magic of reboot.

The OEM fast charging cable never supports usb 3.1 transfer speeds. You will have to get a third party usb 3.1 cable to get those speeds.

The suggestion is right there, you need to get a new cable. If you are asking whether there is some way to mod the current cable then sorry it won't be possible xD
Are you sure you connected to the Laptop's USB 3 port?

I was asking for suggestions on the cable. I see a lot of cables claiming to be USB 3.1 in Amazon India with disagreeing reviews.
I don't know why people reading through the comments just assume you're stupid before taking a second to understand the context.
