Hay guys! I love this website! Had a bit of trouble with my XDA and had this GSM error thing. I was following the GSM error tutorial and it asks that i download: download RSU Version 4.16 . but the ftp site doesnt download anything???
Can anyone help please!! Ive got the XDA pw10a1.

dude, i dont believe it! I must have had something wrong with my pc or something. Thanks! but i just used O2's RSU and used the cab file to reflash my poor little XDA after a GSM error! and you know how much fun they are!!!

the only difference with this version seems to be the removal of the text 'test only not for sale' in the bootsplash screen.
1.72 Upgrade
Thanks Panja for uploading the 1.72 rom. I just upgraded mine and it just took me an hour and nearly same time for adding some software. XDAII working fine. No Problems. Yet.

Installed, tested, all OK, looks very good, and better than the 1.66 ITA. witch have had problem with TOMTOM navigator, and with the new 1.72 goes all very very WELL!

A bit too much information for me I'm afraid.
I'm running the Imate version now and it's terrible: No gprs & monitor.
I've tried already to switch back to the original version from T-mobile, but I get the same country ID error as when I tried to install the Imate ROM.
To reverse this (as far as I understand) is not easily done I'm afraid!
The settings of the T-mobile ROM (RUU16036WWE_T-Mobile_NL.exe)
look correct if I vieuw the
ms_.nbf & NK.nbf & Radio_.nbf files with ER2003 EDIT
and there seems no reason to change them.
The terrible thing is that I can not install this original ROM !

Use ER2003edit to erase the phone ID and the county code. then apply your old update and you will be going. This worked for me to downgrade.

Phone is not ready
Does anyone come across such problem wtih this iMate 1.72.00WWE, that is when activate the phone program, select Tools --> Options..., a dialog comes up with message "The phone is not ready, Wait 15 seconds and try again." However, this never get away, every I select the same, it appears. Please Help.
So far, ive done 2 hardresets on 1.72.
Compared to 1 on 1.66 and 1 on 1.52.
Im really concerned about the stability of 1.72, doing the wrong thing with the wrong program can cause an instant hardreset!
I think I solve the problem now
umm... i cant upgrade.
ive tried about everything, and i always get country ID error.
Ive upgraded to 1.72 before (official), back then i erased the phone ID and
operator code.
So, i tought.. then it should be the same now.. but no, it aint.
I cant upgrade!!

Just do it all over again, as you never upgrade the machine. I had do it, it works.
Yeah.. it worked with PH10, Qtek, and WWE.

Hi, could anyone send me a radio1.08.00 file to install on my XDA II please ? Thing is, I live in Sydney Oz, and after I've instaled radio 1.18 my signal is varing like hell. I've found a topic that mentions this problem, and I would be reallllllyyyyy happy if someone could send me this file to install with the same software that I've used to install WMSE 2.06, thanks to everyone involved on the project !!! I would like to check if re-instaling radio 1.08 my signal stops vary. By the way I've found a radio 1.08.00 file in the forum, but extension is .RAR and I have NO CLUE how to use it :roll: so if someone could send me one that I can use with the software that comes with the windows SE 2.06 installer, I would appreciate

just replace the radio.nbf on your upgrade with the file i attached... then re-upgrade.....
I tried upgrading the radio only (deleted ms.nbf and nk.nbf) and it worked... i dunno if it will work for you..
also, a *.rar file is a compressed file and you should use winrar for tha

Do you still have these files? I've been trying to download from the russian web site, but it's slow as hell and I always get a download error in the middle of the download process...

I recently put on Buzz's latest wm2005, when I installed it I didnt need to change the operator id or anything like that.
Some of my applications are not working on 2005 and I would like to revert back to 2003se but Im having some difficulties.
Everytime I do the downgrade I am getting country id errors and when I try and figure out my operator id using the device info application the output file is just jibberish..
Can anyone tell me what the operator id would have been set to when I installed buzz's wm2005 or how I can find out what the operator id is on wm2005.
I really need to downgrade!

Go to this link and look for BUZZ LIGHTYEAR. The file and instructions are there that make country id error a thing of the past, it works flawlessly.

When you download a rom upgrade, you will find a text file read_this_first.
Well read it first!
Then ask questions for parts you didn't understand well.

Can you tell us what happens when you put the pda in its craddle?
Do you see any error message about an unknown device ?
Be more specific about the problems...
