guys i have the following problem
bought a haicom 203-e gps mouse + cable.
when i connect the cable to the xda and power it i use a stabised power source on 12v, or via the sigarette charger in the car. there comes a very annoying modem-like sound out of it.
sometimes when i bring down the power to 5v it stops with that sound but not always. the gps function works as it searches for satellites.. i allready have tried a new cable but the same trouble :((
even if i insert the cable without powering the xda and mouse there is a strange sounds as i click a item on the xda
anyone any idea what this problem might be ?
Hi.
The problem is with the cable. I know you're on your second cable, now. But you might want to try a third one. The third one did it for me
A cable change did the trick for me too. Not another one of the same brand, but from an entirely different manufacturer.

Hello, I thought it was possible to load my XDA with the cable of my IPAQ 3850. So now I have a problem, because now I can't load my XDA anymore. Do you know an answer for this problem please help me.

As I posted in your other question, if you have used an ipaq charger and now your xda wont charge, you have probably damaged the xda, the ipaq cable is NOT compatible, the voltage lines are different.
so is the pin assignment. isnt it crusingthru?
Yes pins are different, I had explained to the person asking the question in another post "xda wont charge" or something like that.
xda not charging
I have the same problem, I connected a gps connector (ipaq version) to my xda and after that my xda is not charging.
Is there some other way to charge the xda or a fix? What can be damaged? Where can I find documents to open my xda?
ok, i have opened my xda, but is it possible to charge my battery another way? Maybe with a wire directly on the battery?
Please help me

Hi,
I have recently purchased a USB Sync charger for my XDA IIs. After connecting it to my PC's USB port and the IIs I realised that it the phone was actually NOT charging although the display showed "Charging". In fact, the battery was discharging.
A quick search on the web revealed that this was a problem present in the XDa II (but later fixed by an update).
Could anyone confirm whether this problem is present in the XDa IIs as well ?
Also, is there any solution available ? Thanks

I have the same problem I have two usb charger/sync cables and an adapter for the Car so you can charge from the car no combination of any of these works with my MDA III.
Yet the MDA does show charging but as you say is discharging WHAT A PAIN a solution would be great but as for the USB port on your PC and or Laptop it is likely to be the fact that there isnt sufficent current on the port.
Has anyone tried one of the following charge/snnch cables on the Blue Angel?

Judging by the image, the usb sync charger on that page is similar to the one I have and mine isn't working.
FYI, If charging from a laptop, some laptops won't charge anything over USB unless they're on mains power themselves.
Did everyone try similar tests with Desktops?

Just tried it and still says charging but isn't !!!!
Are there any USB cables that just charge the Blue Angel and actually charge it up! Could synch via infra red. Just wanted a USB change cable to keep in the laptop bag.

Just disable USB sync in ActiveSync (File/Connection Settings) on the PC; it'll still charge.
Yes but do these usb cables really charge and does anyone know where I can get a working one in the UK?
Martin Fields USB Sync charger works !
I exchanged the non-functional usb charger with one branded "Martin Fields USB Sync Charger for XDA II" and it finally works.
Hi,
My Veripart USB Hotsync Charger Cable O2 Xda II/Qtek work fine on my Qtek9090 (sync and charge).
I bought it here: www.pdashop.nl.
